We do not realize that behavior of particular people, their families and social groups influences the elements of natural history. This article focuses on the adjustment of our lifestyle to the idea of balanced development. That is why environmental education, which supports understanding the correlation between man, his products and the environment, should be offered to all people, in particular the youngest, who will be able to direct the patterns of pro-environmental behavior to elderly people.

Opis:: Ludzie nigdy nie przestaną się uczyć i rozwijać swych umiejętności. Edukacja łączy się z różnymi sferami i momentami życia człowieka. Choć uczenie się związane jest głównie z pracą szkoły, nie powinno się nie doceniać procesu kształcenia dokonującego się także poza szkołą. To, czego się nauczyliśmy w wielkim stopniu wpływa na to, jakimi ludźmi jesteśmy. Im więcej wiemy, im bardziej świadomi jesteśmy, jak rozwija się świat, tym lepiej rozumiemy zjawiska dokonujące się wokół nas, a przez to stajemy się zdolni do pełnego uczestnictwa w życiu społeczeństwa.

The more we know, the more aware of the nearby World development, the more aware of phenomena understanding, phenomena that take place around us and, therefore, allow us to participate in all society activities.
Ludzie nigdy nie przestaną się uczyć i rozwijać swych umiejętności. Edukacja łączy się z różnymi sferami i momentami życia człowieka. Choć uczenie się związane jest głównie z pracą szkoły, nie powinno się nie doceniać procesu kształcenia dokonującego się także poza szkołą. To, czego się nauczyliśmy w wielkim stopniu wpływa na to, jakimi ludźmi jesteśmy. Im więcej wiemy, im bardziej świadomi jesteśmy, jak rozwija się świat, tym lepiej rozumiemy zjawiska dokonujące się wokół nas, a przez to stajemy się zdolni do pełnego uczestnictwa w życiu społeczeństwa.

It is also to impact the launch of a new quality of its management and solve the growing number of critical situations in the environment and by the same, the proper shaping and implementation of the sustainable environment concept. In his presentation, the author backs his arguments with well known views of the following philosophers: Forbes, Smuts, Tansley, Haeckel, Birge as well as with theories from the borderline of ecology and philosophy such as: the development theory, integration levels and synergism.

Opis:: The text deals with the possibilities of the utilisation of cross-curricular themed Environmental education in the school subject, “Ethical education in Slovakia”, especially in lower secondary education. The text partly stems from work on the project APVV-14-0176 “Didactic Means Facilitating the Implementation of Selected Cross-Curricular Topics in the Teaching of Ethical Education at the Second Level of Primary School”, and offers a brief overview on how the topics of ethical education may overlap with environmental education. To achieve this goal, the first part of the text briefly characterises ethical education in Slovakia, and introduces its key figures and principles, as well as the elements of environmental education in ethical education, and a brief summary of the content of the cross-curricular topic, “Environmental Education in the Current National Curriculum” follow. The suggestions for implementation of environmental education in ethical education in Slovakia, form the last part of the paper, where the author also describes some problem areas of the subjects. The author concludes that it is also possible to apply environmental themes in current ethical education; however, it requires some creativity, critical thinking, suitable teaching materials, and competent, dedicated teachers.
Opracowanie to dotyczy możliwości wykorzystania międzyprzedmiotowej tematyki edukacji ekologicznej w ramach przedmiotu szkolnego edukacji etycznej, zwłaszcza w szkołach średnich I stopnia na Słowacji. Opracowanie odwołuje się do projektu APVV-14-0176 i zawiera krótki przegląd tego, jak tematy edukacji etycznej mogą pokrywać się z edukacją ekologiczną. Aby osiągnąć ten cel, w pierwszej części artykułu krótko scharakteryzowano edukację etyczną na Słowacji i przedstawiono jej istotne elementy. Następnie przedstawiono elementy edukacji ekologicznej w ramach edukacji etycznej oraz krótkie podsumowanie treści tematyki międzyprzedmiotowej edukacji ekologicznej w aktualnym programie nauczania. Propozycje wprowadzenia edukacji ekologicznej do edukacji etycznej na Słowacji stanowią ostatnią część artykułu, w której autorka opisuje niektóre problematyczne obszary tematyczne. Autorka konkluduje, że wątki środowiskowe można zastosować także w obecnej edukacji etycznej, jednak wymaga to kreatywności, krytycznego myślenia, odpowiednich materiałów dydaktycznych i kompetentnych, oddanych nauczycieli.

Opis:: The aim of the realisation of the material is getting the results of carried on research concerning the fact of finding out to what level contents involving the balanced development during the educational activities was introduced, moreover, what influence of such issues on the creating the right attitudes towards the pro-ecological awareness of young people was. The balanced development is at present the challenge for creating the awareness not only of the particular society, but also in the widest sense the whole generation of people. Undertaking such issues the role of education during all stages of teaching should be taken into consideration, especially, in the range of propagating the idea of responsibility for the natural environment with eco-development. It is a specially important element of teaching according to the principle of pro-environmental education to undertake all actions in the educational centers, which aim is to stimulate the environmental awareness of young people as well as to prepare the pedagogical staff to the realization of the wide range of methods and strategies that allow to get the best results during the process of educating young generation.

Opis:: Artykuł zwraca uwagę na wyzwania, jakie stają przed społeczeństwami w dobie szybkich zmian społecznych, kulturowych i politycznych. Cechą charakterystyczną współczesnych społeczeństw jest ich coraz większa wielokulturowość, która zakłada akceptację różnorodności, istnienie pojedynczych kultur w sferze publicznej i prywatnej. Do życia i współdziałania w społeczeństwach wielokulturowych może przygotować edukacja międzykulturowa, która kładzie nacisk na dialog międzykulturowy. Zadaniem edukacji międzykulturowej jest zatem kształtowanie takich postaw społecznych, które pozwolą współczesnym społeczeństwom rozwijać się pokojowo i budować stabilną przyszłość. Podjęta problematyka staje się szczególnie istotna w obliczu wojny, zmian społecznych, politycznych w różnych częściach Europy, nasilającego się zjawiska emigracji itp. Problemy te w dużym stopniu dotykają Polski. Pojawia się wobec tego pytanie, jak Polska jest przygotowana do wielokulturowości? Jaki jest dyskurs naukowy w tym obszarze? Jakie propozycje kierunków rozwoju edukacji międzykulturowej?
The article draws attention to the challenges facing societies in the era of rapid social, cultural or political changes. A characteristic feature of modern societies is their growing multiculturalism, which assumes the acceptance of diversity, the existence of individual cultures in the public and private sphere. Intercultural education, which emphasizes intercultural dialogue, can prepare for living and interacting in multicultural societies. The task of intercultural education is therefore to shape social attitudes that will allow modern societies to develop peacefully and build a stable future. The issues raised became particularly important in the face of war, social and political changes in various parts of Europe, the growing phenomenon of emigration, etc. These problems affect Poland to a large extent. Therefore, a question arises: how is Poland prepared for multiculturalism? What is the scientific discourse in this area? What are the proposed directions for the development of intercultural education?

Opis:: The article has the form of a research report on the dynamics of self-esteem of students at the turn of early education (key stage 2) and subject education (key stage 3). The research was aimed at capturing the directions of changes in self-esteem of students entering the expanse of new educational experiences related to taking the role of a fourth-grade student. The self-esteem of students at the end of the third grade and the beginning of the fourth grade was examined. It was assumed that the difficulties experienced by a child entering the thresholds of subject education (key stage 3) may be a source of negative tensions, fear and anxiety, which may be manifested in low self-esteem and bad mood. The research sample was determined of students with varied school experiences resulting from different strategies of early primary education teachers. It was assumed that diverse educational experiences gained from previous education may have a different impact on the psychosocial functioning of students at subsequent levels of education.
Artykuł ma formę raportu z badań dotyczących dynamiki samooceny uczniów na przełomie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej i przedmiotowej. Badania miały na celu uchwycenie kierunków zmian samooceny uczniów wchodzących w przestrzeń nowych doświadczeń edukacyjnych związanych z podjęciem roli ucznia klasy IV. Zbadano samoocenę uczniów pod koniec klasy III i na początku klasy IV. Założono, że trudności, jakich doświadcza dziecko wstępujące w progi edukacji przedmiotowej, mogą stanowić źródło niekorzystnych napięć, strachu i lęku, co może objawiać się w zaniżonej samoocenie i obniżonym nastroju. Próbę badawczą stanowili uczniowie o zróżnicowanych doświadczeniach szkolnych wynikających z odmiennych strategii pracy nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. Przyjęto, że zróżnicowane doświadczenia edukacyjne wyniesione z dotychczasowej edukacji mogą odmiennie wpływać na psychospołeczne funkcjonowanie uczniów na kolejnych szczeblach edukacji.
