W konsekwencji jego celem było wskazanie najistotniejszych czynników modelujących w historii, a także obecnie zmieniających proces globalizacji. Artykuł opisuje kluczowe zmiany, do których można zaliczyć np. zastąpienie G7 przez G20, propozycje zmian instytucjonalnych, zmiany technologiczne, w zakresie np. sztucznej inteligencji, robotyki, gospodarki cyfrowej, oraz omówienie ich konsekwencji w kontekście zmian procesu globalizacji.
The decline in global gross product or the lack of global trade growth indicates a stagnation of globalization, many scientists or journalists, with “The Economist” at the forefront, fearing its end. This article discusses the issue of globalization internal changes. As a consequence, the aim of this paper is to identify the most important factors changing the process of the globalization. The article describes key changes, such as the replacement of G7 by G20, technological changes in the field of, e.g., artificial intelligence, robotics and the digital economy, showing the possible consequences of changes in the global economy.

The globalization in the contemporary global economy is a fact. There are many enthusiasts and critics of that process, what caused that it is hard to dispel indisputably all doubts refer to the globalization. Strategies carried out by transnational corporations usually do not correspond to the interests of host economies. Moreover, transnational character of production does not guarantee that disparities between developed and developing economies will be eliminated or even reduced. It seems that participation in globalization process requires incurring particular economic costs. However, an ability to profit from the globalization, while minimizing its negative effects, is expected to play an important role in the development of contemporary economies.

Celem badań jest określenie stopnia synchronizacji cykli koniunkturalnych w UE, strefie euro, USA i Japonii, a także wskazanie tego, w jakim stopniu cykle te są współzależne ze stopniem globalizacji tych gospodarek. W badaniach zastosowano analizę szeregów czasowych, statystykę opisową oraz analizę korelacji. Pierwsza metoda została zastosowana do celów datowania cykli koniunkturalnych, pozostałe – do określenia stopnia synchronizacji cykli oraz ich współzależności z procesami globalizacji rynków. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynikają następujące wnioski: 1) cykle koniunkturalne w UE, strefie euro, USA i Japonii są zsynchronizowane, aczkolwiek w różnym stopniu; 2) stopień globalizacji gospodarki europejskiej jest silniejszy niż gospodarki amerykańskiej i japońskiej; 3) im wyższy jest stopień integracji gospodarki krajowej z gospodarką międzynarodową, tym silniejsze jest oddziaływanie globalizacji na cykle koniunkturalne; 4) globalizacja wywiera silniejszy wpływ na wahania koniunkturalne aniżeli na synchronizację cykli.
The aim of the study was to determinate degree of the synchronization business cycles in the European Union, the euro area, the United States and Japan, as well as interdependence between their cycles and degree of globalization of their economies. The study uses time series analysis, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. The first method was used for the purpose of dating business cycles, two others to determinate convergence of the business cycles and their interdependence with process of globalization. The research shows following: 1) business cycles in the EU, the euro area, USA and Japan are synchronizes but not equally; 2) the degree of globalization of the European economy is higher than in USA and Japan; 3) the more domestic economy is integrated with the global one, the bigger is influence of globalization on domestic business cycle; 4) the impact of globalization is higher on cyclical change than on business cycles’ synchronization.

Proces internacjonalizacji stał się dominującą cechą współczesnej gospodarki światowej. Najczęściej przejawia się on wychodzeniem przedsiębiorstwa ze swoją działalnością poza granice kraju macierzystego w celu zapewnienia sobie lepszych możliwości rozwoju. Istnieje wiele przesłanek i motywów wchodzenia na rynki zagraniczne. W dobie umiędzynaradawiania szczególnej analizie powinny zostać poddane uwarunkowania internacjonalizacji. Poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób przebiega umiędzynaradawianie i co go warunkuje, stało się przesłanką do napisania artykułu. Zastosowano case study konkretnego przedsiębiorstwa z branży outsourcingu jakościowego, które w ostatnich latach osiągnęło sukces na rynku europejskim.
The process of internationalization has become the dominant feature of the contemporary world economy. Most frequently it occurs at the moment of an enterprise crossing its own national frontiers with the aim of ensuring itself of better opportunities of development. There is a multitude of premises and motives behind entering foreign markets. In the era of internationalization, the conditioning of internationalization should be placed under particular scrutiny. The search for the answer as to what course internationalization takes on and what conditions it have both become the premise behind writing this paper. In the herein paper, a case study of a specific enterprise from the quality outsourcing sector has been applied, which in fact has achieved success on the European market over the past several years.

The process of globalization are the skurce of challenges and dangers for the natio¬nal state, but they create chances and opportunities for chan ges chich hope for the new order and rebirth of the state in the future. Traditional national state, based on modern principles of rationalism and modernizm has already had its „golden age”. However, it does not mean that the state has become outdated and is to vanish in the process of glo¬balization. On the contrary, the state as an insitution of an economic and social-political order may play a significant role in them. To make it hapten, the hanges of functions, ta¬sks and to ols of the state policy as the social-economic institution are essentials. There¬fore in the process of globalization we may rather expect evolutional transformation of the state role than its complete decline and fall.

The last decades of the twentieth century fundamentally changed the situation in the global economy. China’s spectacular economic success has increased an interest in this country. The short time in which China moved on from the a poor agricultural country into a global economic power is admirable. China’s model combines conflicted elements of different economic systems: the bureaucratic planning, island-capitalism, simple goods production and natural economy. The current development and transformation of the economy have brought about spectacular achievements and successes. However, the “the world’s manufacturer” produces goods designed in other countries. In contrast, the modern idea is to build a modern and independent Chinese industry. The possibilities of the current model of economic development based on simple reserves and large statedriven infrastructure projects, which no longer drive the economy to the extent they previously did, dried out. Thus, the “Middle Kingdom” will have to compete against the rest of the world on quality and innovation. Therefore the development of the new model is a prerequisite to ensure progress in the future. Discussion on further development has been expedited in 2011, when it became abundantly clear that the Chinese economy would share the experience of the effects of the global crisis. The Chinese look at the challenges that the economy is facing realistically in thinking about the modern technology which begins to dominate the country. China is determined to become the leading technological superpower of the world. Today, many developing countries are looking towards China watching the development model implemented there with the hope of its adaptation in their economies. However, China is a unique entity. Therefore, it may be that adaptation of the Chinese model of development in other countries is not possible.

Według najnowszych wyliczeń Międzynarodowego Funduszu Walutowego w 2014 roku USA pod względem PKB umocniły swą dominację na rynku globalnym, osiągając kwotę 17,4 bln USD, a Chiny od 2008 roku wysunęły się na drugie miejsce przekraczając 9,7 bln USD, wyprzedzając Japonię z kwotą 5,2 bln USD oraz Niemcy 3,7 bln USD. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wielkość i dynamikę obrotów handlowych Niemiec w latach 2000-2011. Po stronie eksportu, z wyjątkiem spadku w roku 2009, można wyróżnić ogólną tendencję wzrostową w badanym okresie. Podobną tendencję obserwowano w odniesieniu do importu z dodatkowym spadkiem badanej wartości w roku 2002. Wartość eksportu Niemiec w ciągu badanego okresu zwiększyła się 1,8-krotnie z sumy 597 455 mln EUR w roku 2000 do 1 058 581 mln EUR w roku 2011. Znaczący wzrost wartości eksportu miał miejsce w 2004 roku, odnotowano wówczas przyrost badanej wielkości o 10,1% do sumy 731 479 mln EUR w stosunku do roku poprzedniego. Kolejne istotne zwiększenie wartości eksportu odnotowano w roku 2006. Gospodarka niemiecka jest podawana za jeden z przykładów wzorowego wprowadzania wspólnej waluty euro jako czynnika wpływającego stymulująco na wzrost gospodarczy, który może oddziaływać z różną siła na całą gospodarkę. Konsekwencje przyjęcia euro dla niemieckiej gospodarki można podzielić na pozytywne i negatywne. Należy podkreślić, iż Niemcy są największą i najsilniejszą gospodarką Unii Gospodarczo-Walutowej
According to the latest estimates made by the International Monetary Fund in 2014 the USA strengthened its position in terms of GDP on the global market reaching the value of USD 17.4 bn, and from 2008 China took the second place with GDP over USD 9.7 bn exceeding Japan with the GDP of USD 5.2 bn and Germany with USD 3.7 bn. The paper presents the value and dynamics of trade turnover of Germany in the years 2000-2011. The general upward trend in export can be noticed with the decline recorded only in 2009. The similar tendency in imports can be observed with the additional decrease in 2002. During the analyzed period of time the value of exports of Germany increased 1,8 fold from EUR 597 455 mln in 2000 to EUR 1 058 581 mln in 2011. The significant increase of exports value was recorded in 2004 when the exports increase by 10.1% to EUR 731 479 mln can be observed as compared to the previous year. The subsequent significant increase in exports value was recorded in 2006. The German economy is regarded to be one of the examples of the introduction of the common currency which could be the factor stimulating the economic growth in various degree: stronger or weaker. The consequences of the euro adoption for the German economy could be positive and negative. It could be stressed that Germany is the biggest and the strongest economy of the Economic and Monetary Union.

The development of the media cause certain effects in the development of civilization. At a certain stage of development appeared the phenomenon of globalization, which also largely stimulated by new technologies. The main feature of the impact that bring new media in relation to globalization is its acceleration. The more developed technologies, the greater the rate of change.

Współczesny nurt rachunkowości pokazuje wiele nowych założeń, które poczynione zostały z myślą o dostarczeniu precyzyjnych informacji dla rynków finansowych. Wbrew nadrzędnej zasadzie o wyższości treści nad formą sformułowanej w koncepcyjnych założeniach raportowania finansowego często proponowane rozwiązania nie mają wytłumaczenia ekonomicznego i logicznego, powodują natomiast różne skutki finansowe i wpływ na wyniki przedsiębiorstw oraz obraz sytuacji ekonomicznej przedstawiony w sprawozdaniu finansowym. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie genezy i ewolucji bardzo ważnego sprawozdania, jakim jest rachunek zysków i strat według rozwiązań polskich i międzynarodowych oraz przedstawienie podobieństw i różnic w jego ujęciu według rozwiązań krajowych i międzynarodowych. Przyjęte w artykule metody badawcze opierają się na studiach literatury, przeglądzie aktów prawnych, zastosowaniu metody porównań oraz wnioskowaniu.
The modern trend shows a lot of new accounting assumptions that have been made in order to provide accurate information for the financial markets. Contrary to the overarching principle of reality over appearance formulated in the conceptual assumptions of financial reporting often proposed solutions do not have to explain economic and logical, but they cause different financial implications and impact on the performance of enterprises and economic picture of the situation presented in the financial statements. The aim of the article is to present the genesis and evolution of the very important report which is the income statement according to Polish and international solutions and to present the similarities and differences in the recognition at national and international solutions. Adopted in the article research methods are based on literature studies, review of legal acts, the method comparison and inference.

This article aims to examine the relationship between consumption and the globalization process. Subjected to a verification of the hypothesis: consumption by their functions (economic function, social function, information function) stimulates the process of widening and deepening interdependence between countries. In considering consumption is defined based on the system of consumption. This approach of the consumption is the basis for the analysis of the social dimension of globalization (KOF Index of Globalization). As a result, it is concluded that consumption of: (1) affects the productivity of individuals, (2) shaping the intellectual and cultural capital where a high level of formation leads to lower transaction costs, and good interpersonal communication, (3) is an important source of information for market decisions undertaken in other areas of the economy.

In recent years, a lot of controversy has accumulated around the convergence in corporate governance. Some researchers expect substantial convergence in corporate governance practices, as well as company law, toward the Anglo-American model. For other researchers the differences between the various types of market economies will continue. Historical and cultural factors are the causes. The debate gained strength in the context of the financial crisis of 2007-2009. It was then that corporate governance failed, becoming one of the causes of the global financial crisis. In the following text I attempt to answer the following questions: (1) what are the basic differences in corporate governance systems, and how do they come about? (2) what is the convergence of corporate governance? (3) what are the driving forces of convergence in corporate governance systems in the world economy? (4) what are the main impediments of convergence in corporate governance systems? (5) what results from previous empirical studies on convergence?

Źródłem występujących w ostatnim okresie zmian strukturalnych w gospodarce są w znacznym stopniu nowoczesne technologie przekształcające cywilizację industrialną w cywilizację usługową, budowaną przez społeczeństwo wiedzy. Skala tych zmian uzależniona jest pośrednio od poziomu zasobów pracy występujących na lokalnych rynkach pracy. Celem artykułu jest analiza dynamiki stopy bezrobocia jako swoistego efektu ubocznego procesu zmiany struktury gospodarki. Rozważania zawężono do analizy podstawowych parametrów pozwalających na ocenę skali bezrobocia, czyli stopy bezrobocia i poziomu bezrobocia długookresowego lokalnych rynków pracy uznawanych w wymiarze poszczególnych państw. Analizy szczegółowe dla grupy państw Europy Środkowo- Wschodniej (EŚ-W), będących jednocześnie członkami UE. Zakres czasowy badania to lata 2004-2013. Dane zaczerpnięto z bazy Eurostat i zasobów narodowych urzędów statystycznych.
Source of recent structural changes occurring in the economy are mostly new technologies that are turning the industrial society into service civilization, built by knowledge-driven society. Scale of these changes depends indirectly on level of labor resources on the local labor markets. Aim of paper is to analyze dynamics of unemployment rate as side-effect of process of changes in structure of the economy. Research is narrowed to analysis of basic unemployment level parameters, so unemployment rate, long-term unemployment rate of local labor markets of particular states. Specific analyses of group of Central-Western European states, being at the same time members of European Union. Time period is from 2004 to 2013. Data source is Eurostat database and national statistical offices.

In the globalized era, the world economy is facing many challenges resulting from deterioration of the environment, financial crises, and deepening of social inequalities. Human activities, including business activity, lead the world to the limits of growth. In the past, missions of many companies were focused on generating profits for their owners rather than on other issues, such as social and environmental matters. Today, more and more often the questions associated with responsibilities of businesses and sustainable development are raised and discussed in the context of national economies as a whole, rather than individual enterprises exclusively. Corporate social responsibility is voluntary. For marketing reasons many companies regard CSR as part of their PR strategies exclusively. Emerging challenges raise the need for in-depth research on how businesses follow and incorporate the CSR principles into their day-to-day operations, both globally and locally. The purpose of this paper is to present a study of awareness and applications of corporate social responsibility principles in SMEs companies operating in Lublin Voivodeship.
