    Opis:
    This paper discusses the significance of vocational guidance in the process of making vocational choices by students of junior high schools and adults who see the possibility of retraining as an opportunity of getting a job. The significance of activities related to vocational guidance was assessed on the basis of available publications. Legal basis underlying functioning of vocational guidance institutions was analysed and the individual educational stages in the process of vocational orientation were studied. The article presents the results of empirical studies showing low efficiency of guidance institutions, which is mostly evident in the process of making educational decisions by students of junior high schools. The article ends with conclusions that aim to increase the efficiency of activities related to this subject.

    The aim of the paper is to describe the extent to which human capital of graduates of mechatronics schools meets the expectations of employers operating in the region. The information presented in the paper illustrates the employers' requirements towards employees representing mechatronic professions and indicates gaps in the human capital of graduates within this occupational group. Conducted analysis made it possible to define actions that should be taken to adjust vocational training in mechatronics schools to meet the needs of the labor market in the Lodz region.

    Auditors perform an important role in each society. Expectations of financial report users and contracting parties for auditing continuously rise, therefore, in order to satisfy them, auditors need to constantly improve their qualifications and have interdisciplinary knowledge of the enterprise. That is a reason why, besides acquiring technical knowledge and accounting skills, auditors require abilities to perform the roles of a counsellor, a financial analyst, a negotiator and a manager, when necessary. Because of the fact the world aims at globalising the market economy, in which investments and financial transactions cross country borders more and more frequently, auditors need extensive knowledge in order to understand the context in which companies and other organizations operate. More often they deal with investigating groups of companies of international reach, therefore their knowledge and qualifications should be of an international nature as well. Polish system of audit staff education is based on international solutions regarding acquiring theoretical knowledge and gaining practical skills in the course of the qualification procedure, aiming at obtaining rights of an auditor. The purpose of this article is to show the impact of regulations of the European Union and the International Education Standards upon Polish system of audit staff training. In order to accomplish this aim, we have utilized research methods of the critical analysis of legal regulations, both domestic and international, analysis of the literature on the subject, and drawing conclusions based on our own observations and experience regarding conducting examinations for prospective candidates for auditors and participating in a mandatory training of auditors.

    Doświadczenie zawodowe jest jedną z cech warunkujących skuteczną tranzycję absolwentów szkół wyższych na rynek pracy. W Polsce istnieje wiele różnych możliwości łączenia zdobywania doświadczenia zawodowego ze studiami w trybie stacjonarnym. Występuje też znaczny zakres swobody w tym zakresie. Badania ankietowe przeprowadzone wśród studentów wykazały, że w ich opinii najlepszym modelem łączenia studiów ze zdobywaniem doświadczenia zawodowego byłby system dualny, gdyby taki funkcjonował. Dla studentów istotna jest możliwość osiągania dochodu, dlatego w obecnych realiach wybrali pracę na podstawie umowy cywilnoprawnej w elastycznym czasie pracy jako najlepszą formę zdobywania doświadczenia zawodowego w czasie studiów.
    Professional experience is one of the features which condition the effective transition of the university graduates into the labor market. There are many possibilities in Poland to combine gaining job experience with studying full-time. There is also great freedom in this area. Questionnaire surveys carried out over a group of students proved that from the students’ point of view the best model of combining studies with parallel job experience would be a dual system if only such a possibility existed. Students want to receive financial reward for their work. This is why nowadays they choose the employment under civil law contracts with flexible working hours provided as the best form of gaining work experience.

    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie roli i celów studenckich praktyk zawodowych postrzeganych z trzech perspektyw: pracodawców, studentów i uczelni. Przy określaniu oczekiwań pracodawców i studentów wykorzystano wyniki istniejących badań, natomiast sposób postrzegania celów praktyk ze strony uczelni przedstawiono z wykorzystaniem metody analizy treści programów praktyk i efektów kształcenia przypisywanych modułom praktyk inżynierskich. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwala wskazać wyzwania wobec współpracy międzyorganizacyjnej, wzajemne oczekiwania stron oraz obszary współpracy umożliwiające doskonalenie praktycznego aspektu kształcenia na uczelniach wyższych. Przedstawienie trzech perspektyw umożliwia również nakreślenie obszaru dla pogłębienia współpracy między uczelnią i pracodawcami, w szczególności w zakresie badania efektywności programów praktyk.
    The aim of this article is to analyze the role and objectives of students internships, taking into account the perspective of employers, students and universities. The analyse of employer’s and student’s expectations bases on the results of existing reaserch and studies, while university’s perception of internships goals bases on content analysis of internships programs and learning outcomes of engineering practices modules. The analysis set out the challenges for inter-organizational cooperation that appear between universities and businesses and defines the mutual expectations and areas of cooperation aimed at improving the practical aspect of education. Understanding the three perspectives enables also to deepen cooperation between universities and employers, in particular regarding apprenticeship evaluation.
