Określono również główne nurty badawcze występujące w logistyce i zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw, wskazując na perspektywy rozwoju logistyki.
Many scientific disciplines, including supply chain management, have noted a change in the attitude to global problems haunting the environment, such as increasing amounts of waste, global warming or decreasing biodiversity. In the 20th century many overlapping concepts and theories about specific environmental issues were developed, e.g. reverse logistics, eco-logistics or green logistics. The article presents a theoretical discussion on logistics paradigm. Main research trends running in logistics and supply chain management are also presented and the development prospects of logistics are highlighted.

Opis:: W ostatnich latach zauważalne jest stale postępujące i coraz bardziej wyraziste „osadzenie” problematyki logistyki i zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw w zasobowym nurcie zarządzania strategicznego. W nurcie tym podkreśla się kluczowe znaczenie potencjałów sukcesu, obejmujących m.in. zdolności, w tym tzw. dynamiczne zdolności, w budowaniu oraz wzmacnianiu długookresowej konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw i łańcuchów dostaw. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania koncepcji dynamicznych zdolności, obejmujących również zdolności związane ze sferą logistyki, w budowaniu konkurencyjności łańcucha dostaw. W szczególności zaprezentowano tu istotę konkurencyjności i jej podstawowe wyznaczniki, pojęcie zdolności, istotę i podstawowe wyznaczniki koncepcji dynamicznych zdolności, a także możliwości wykorzystania dynamicznych zdolności związanych ze sferą logistyki w budowaniu konkurencyjności łańcucha dostaw.
In recent years one may notice the growing “embedding” of logistics and supply chain management in the resource stream of strategic management. Within this stream the key importance in building and strengthening long-term competitiveness of enterprises and supply chains is assigned to potentials of success including, among others, the so-called dynamic capabilities. The aim of the study is to present the possibilities of using the concept of dynamic capabilities, including logistics capabilities, in building the competitiveness of the supply chain. The study presents the nature of competitiveness and its basic characteristics, the term “capabilities”, the nature and basic characteristics of dynamic capabilities concept, as well as the possibilities of using dynamic capabilities related to the logistics area in building the competitiveness of the supply chain.

Opis:: Aim/purpose – The paper aims to summarize approaches to complexity management by implementing particular logistics concepts within logistics strategies in global supply chains and to highlight a research gap in this regard. Additionally, complexity management concepts are presented. Design/methodology/approach – To achieve the research objective, a systematic literature review was used. 11 research paper were analyzed with use of review protocol. Findings – Approaches to mentioned research problem are heterogeneous in current literature and there is a research gap in complexity studies in logistics, precluding further research, for example, on complexity measurement systems. Research implications/limitations – Identified research gap will require further studies. Studied area requires more empirical research, especially in the field of complexity measurement and management techniques in particular global supply chains. Originality/value/contribution – The paper summarizes current knowledge about logistics concepts helping to manage complexity in global supply chains and defines research gaps. There are no available literature summary of that kind. The article contains a full review of logistics complexity management concepts presented in scientific literature until the end of 2016.

The article presents a theoretical discussion on network structures. The research focus is on the operations one of Dachser branches. The article characterises and makes a comparative analysis of strategy of one of the European logistics operators based in Poland. The research provides a comprehensive insight into practical problems in managing supply chain based on procedures implemented in a logistics company. Main research trends running between strategy and logistics are also presented and the development prospects of supply chain strategy are highlighted.

Opis:: Wobec rosnącej popularności sieci międzyorganizacyjnych podejście sieciowe zyskuje coraz szersze grono zwolenników w naukach o zarządzaniu. Jednakże stan wiedzy z zakresu założeń koncepcyjno-metodologicznych, a także stopień zaawansowania badań nad sieciami w poszczególnych subdyscyplinach nauk o zarządzaniu jest dość zróżnicowany. Celem artykułu jest integracja dotychczasowego dorobku naukowego dotyczącego podejścia sieciowego budowanego symultanicznie, aczkolwiek w dużej mierze niezależnie w dwóch subdyscyplinach nauk o zarządzaniu, tj. zarządzaniu strategicznym i logistyce. Rozważania prowadzone są z perspektywy możliwości zastosowania w logistyce opracowanych na gruncie zarządzania strategicznego podstawowych założeń, wyróżników oraz metod badania sieci. Dodatkowo w artykule przybliżono możliwości zastosowania analizy sieciowej (analizy strukturalnej, analizy sieci społecznych) w przyszłych - zarówno stosowanych, jak i podstawowych - badaniach z zakresu logistyki.
Due to the growing popularity of interorganizational networks the network approach attracts greater attention of scholars from management science. Nevertheless, our knowledge about both conceptual and methodological frames of this approach, as well as the level of advancement of research on business networks among particular sub-disciplines of management science differ significantly. Given the above, this paper's aim at integration of prior knowledge about network approach developed simultaneously, however independently, in two particular sub-disciplines of management science, namely strategic management and logistics. Our considerations adopt the perspective of possible applications of theoretical and conceptual assumptions developed in strategic management in the area of research on networks in logistics. Furthermore, this paper outlines some opportunities for application of network analysis (social network analysis, SNA, structural analysis) in future - basic and applied - research grounded in logistics.
