Opis:: Celem opracowania jest sprawdzenie, na ile najważniejsze osiągnięcia Nowej Ekonomii Instytucjonalnej można zastosować do wyjaśnień i inspiracji badawczych w dziedzinie zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw. W pierwszej kolejności zidentyfikowano i zinterpretowano problem celów instytucji gospodarczej. Następnie skupiono uwagę na teorii agencji jako odniesieniu teoretycznym w zarządzaniu dojrzałym łańcuchem dostaw. Wreszcie przedstawiono konsekwencje asymetrii informacji dla współpracy przedsiębiorstw łańcucha dostaw.
The aim of the study is to verify how the most important achievements of the New Institutional Economics can be used to explain and inspiration the research in the field of supply chain management. First, the problem of the an economic institution goals was identified and interpreted. After then the focus was on the agency theory as a theoretical reference in the mature supply chain management. Finally, the consequences of the information asymmetry for the cooperation of supply chain companies are presented.

Opis:: Otoczenie instytucjonalne stanowi istotny element klimatu inwestycyjnego i determinuje decyzje przedsiębiorców dotyczące zlokalizowania inwestycji w danym regionie. W ramach wsparcia przedsiębiorców w województwie warmińsko-mazurskim został zrealizowany projekt pt. Regionalny System Usług – Sieć InnoWaMa (RSU), którego celem była poprawa konkurencyjności i innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw regionu. Przeprowadzona analiza instytucji członkowskich systemu, zaprezentowana w niniejszym artykule, umożliwiła ocenę realizacji celów projektu oraz utworzonej sieci wsparcia biznesu.
The institutional environment is important element of the investment climate and it determines the entrepreneurs decision about investment localization in a specific region. As a part of support for entrepreneurs in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship the project titled „Regional System of Services – InnoWaMa Network” is realized. The main purpose of the project is to increase the level of competitiveness and innovation of the region’s enterprises. The conducted analysis of the membership institutions made it possible to assess the achievement of the project goals as well as the established business support network.

Opis:: One of the effects of globalization is increasing internationalization of companies, which takes on more and more advanced forms. One of the decisions facing enterprises concerns the choice of target markets and forms of expansion. A theory useful in the process of choosing internationalization forms is transaction cost theory, which belongs to institutional economics. In this paper decomposition of transaction is proposed, taking into account dimensions determining particular entry modes and devoting special attention to the institutional and cultural contexts. Institutional framework based costs may decide about whether or not to undertake certain forms of expansion. Furthermore it is necessary to include the efficiency of the planned action, both from the point of view of the enterprise, as well as the country.

Opis:: Studies on urban and regional development can draw from the intellectual heritage of institutional economics which assumes, among other things, that the historical trajectories of development, as well as social relations, determine the ways in which economic entities reach their goals. Opis:: W artykule rozważono wkład twierdzenia Coase’a w narodziny ruchu nowej ekonomicznej analizy prawa. Coase podjął się pierwszej próby zastosowania ekonomicznej analizy do tych obszarów prawa, które w sposób bezpośredni nie dotykały kwestii ekonomicznych. Traktował regulacje prawne jako czynnik, który przy dodatnich kosztach transakcyjnych, ma zdolność do wywierania wpływu na rozwój całej gospodarki. Wskazał, że stosowanie narzędzi ekonomii może poprawić efektywność funkcjonowania prawnych instytucji i nadać ich właściwy kształt.
The article examines the contribution of the Coase theorem in motion the birth of a new economic analysis of law. Coase undertook the first attempts to applyeconomic analysis to those areas of law that did not directly touch the economic issues. He treated the regulation as a factor that with positive transaction costs, has the ability to influence the development of the whole economy. He pointed out that the use of economic tools can improve the efficiency of the functioning of the institutions and give them proper shape.

Opis:: Changes are an inherent element of development. They determine the necessity of constant adjustment of all the institutions that control functioning of societies in all aspects. This usually happens in an evolutionary way. According to adopted constitutional assumptions, in the countries in transformation, the changes are of a radical character that breaks off with formal regulations and numerous informal principles of behaviour that existed before. Formal institutions inherited from the previous system significantly influence the speed of adaptation of the countries to changing external and internal conditions of functioning. A growing interest in the role of institutions in economic processes of the systems in transformation results from: - ambiguities as for the reasons for differences between the countries that start with the same initial position (that is hard to explain in categories of traditional models of growth); - differences in economic reforms, processes that accompany them and their consequences. In the countries in transformation the awareness of the influence of institutions on economic development is common. However, the institutions are changed in a chaotic and slow way, and they are often politicised. Institutions created in such way do not favour levelling the delays in development associated with malfunctions of the previous system.
