    The paper focuses on five Czech productions of Hamlet that attracted the most critical and public attention between 2000 and 2023. Namely, the productions directed by Miroslav Krobot (2006), Jan Mikulášek (2009), Daniela Špinar (2013), Michal Dočekal (2021) and finally the most recent version by Jakub Čermák (2022). All five performances could be seen as contemporary reinterpretations of a classical text using a (post-)modern stylistic approach, as examples of post-millennium Hamlets. The paper discusses dramaturgical choices (such as the conceptualisation of the ghost, the mousetrap scene, or the character of Fortinbras) in order to identify and analyse possibilities for interpreting Hamlet as a political drama in the context of Czech performance tradition and the current political situation. The results show that performances generally present variations of Hamlet as a family drama, foregrounding different issues of memory and body, while the political reading is obsolete.

    Opis:
    Traditional models of library quality and functionality assessment are mainly based on the use of statistical data and indicators. The need to expand these patterns started to be noticed, taking into account both the recipients of the services, as well as the environment in which the libraries function. The comprehensive analysis of libraries should cover all areas and components of their functioning. The aim of the article is to present a model that is constructed within the framework of the project Performance Analysis for Polish Research Libraries. The model includes: the assessment of functionality by the means of using statistical data and indicators, opinions and evaluations obtained in user satisfaction surveys, as well as the impact and value assessment. Libraries at higher education facilities have been using functionality indicators since 2001, since 2011 work has been carried out concerned with the addition of an indicator (introduced to the forms in 2017), the study of the impact and value of libraries is a new issue. Knowledge on this subject can be derived from international recommendations (ISO 16439) and projects implemented in other countries.
    Tradycyjne modele oceny funkcjonowania bibliotek bazują głównie na wykorzystywaniu danych statystycznych i wskaźników. Zaczęto dostrzegać potrzebę rozszerzenia tych wzorców, uwzględniając zarówno odbiorców usług, jak i środowisko, w którym biblioteki działają. Kompleksowa analiza bibliotek powinna obejmować wszystkie obszary i elementy ich funkcjonowania. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie modelu, który konstruowany jest w ramach projektu Analiza Funkcjonowania Bibliotek Naukowych (dalej: AFBN). Model obejmuje: ocenę funkcjonalności poprzez wykorzystanie danych statystycznych oraz wskaźników, opinie i oceny uzyskane w badaniach satysfakcji użytkowników oraz ocenę wpływu i wartości. Polskie biblioteki szkół wyższych wskaźnikami funkcjonalności posługują się od roku 2001 (początek projektu AFBN), od 2011 r. prowadzone były prace związane z dodaniem wskaźnika „Satysfakcja użytkowników” (wprowadzony do formularzy AFBN w roku 2017), natomiast zagadnienia dotyczące badania wpływu i wartości bibliotek to temat stosunkowo nowy. Wiedzę o nim można czerpać z międzynarodowych zaleceń (ISO 16439) oraz przedsięwzięć realizowanych w innych krajach.

    As a result of the general growth in the interest in narratives different conception of what a story is and how to analyze has emerged. One especially interesting and methodological relevant difference is between the conception of narratives as textual objects and narratives as part of a storytelling event. The paper discusses the theoretical differences between these two analytical approaches to narratives. An example from my own research on Alzheimer’s patients telling stories illustrate the possibilities of using a performative and micro ethnographic approach to the study of storytelling in order to understand the functions of narratives – especially in relation to identity work. If stories not only are thought of as representations of events it becomes possible to view stories and story telling as social action: social states are both established, negotiated and changed through stories. This is especially important in the field of health and illness where diseases almost always are embedded in conversations and the telling of why and how symptoms were discovered or traumas received. For many patients and persons with especially communicative disabilities story telling is a challenge, but also an opportunity to actually master, maintain and often transform their identities.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analiz różnic w wydajności opieki zdrowotnej świadczonej w szpitalach zlokalizowanych w zachodnich i południowych regionach Ukrainy. Oszacowano poziom wydajności przy użyciu techniki modelowania nieparametrycznego –metody DEA. Metoda ta stanowi narzędzie stosowane do porównań i oceny względnej skuteczności kilku jednostek gospodarczych będących jednostkami decyzyjnymi (DMU). W badaniu skupiono uwagę na różnicach w poziomie efektywności szpitali.
    This study examines variations in efficiency among hospitals located in western and southern Ukraine. We estimated efficiency using a nonparemetric modeling technique known as data envelopment analysis (DEA). DEA is a very powerful tool to compare relative efficiency among several economic units of study, known as decision making units (DMUS). In our current and previous research we have focused attention on comparative efficiency among hospitals and then explained variation in efficiency based on historical and cultural differences that influence managerial behavior at the hospital level of decision making. This study using current data and an expanded geographic territory provides further support to our findings from previous studies.

    The logistics industry today is well developed. The efficient movement of goods, people, and information is a crucial link in each supply chain and the entire logistics system. For systems to function effectively, they must be properly assessed, compared, and analyzed. Therefore, there are many different indicators, both simple and complex. The purpose of this article is to review these indicators and conduct a comparative analysis for a selected indicator, the LPI (Logistics Performance Index), which measures logistics performance. The subjects of the study are European Union countries. Multivariate comparative analysis was used for the study.
    Branża logistyczna współcześnie rozwija się bardzo dynamicznie. Sprawne przepływy towarów, osób i informacji są bardzo istotnym ogniwem każdego łańcucha dostaw i całego systemu logistycznego. Aby systemy mogły funkcjonować efektywnie, należy je odpowiednio oceniać, porównywać, jak i analizować. W tym celu istnieje wiele różnorodnych wskaźników, zarówno prostych i złożonych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu tychże wskaźników, a także przeprowadzenie analizy porównawczej dla wybranego wskaźnika mierzącego poziom rozwoju systemu logistycznego (LPI − Logistics Performance Index). Podmiotem badania są kraje Unii Europejskiej. Do analiz wykorzystano metody wielowymiarowej analizy porównawczej.
