Opis:
Companies which decide on socially responsible activities usually take into consideration benefits including the marketing effects of CSR programmes. However, in order to achieve that, the information about the socially responsible activities of companies must be spread and reach the audience of the company. That includes stakeholders related to the company that might be interested in receiving information about the social initiatives undertaken by the company. These stakeholders are connected with the firm through the network of social ties (SN). The main goal of this article is to present a theoretical framework of roles that these networks of social ties play in the effective communication of CSR activities. This paper is divided into three parts. The first one concerns the problem of how to communicate the involvement of a company in social initiatives. The second one contains the description of possible communication processes and strategies. The last one presents the analysis of the social networks perspective and its main characteristics and, in conclusion, it summarizes the main benefits a company can gain by applying the SN concept to CSR communication in the area of attribution and information spread through various channels.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the interrelationship between structural changes and personal destinies of non-Estonians. How do non-Estonians who have grown up in a socialist system and have finished their education in the late 1980s or early 1990s experience a societal transformation? Were structural and institutional changes brought about by a minimum of adaptations and fluctuations or a by maximum of turbulence and mobility? How successful were they in converting resources gained in the old system into other types of assets in post-socialist conditions? The paper is based on in-depth interviews conducted in 2003 and 2004 with non-Estonians graduating from secondary educational institutions in 1983 and belonging to the so-called “winners” cohort. One of the central results of the analysis is that non-Estonians’ behaviour was not so much directed by purposeful biographical projects but rather it could be characterized as an adaptation to new circumstances. Opportunities proved to be less a matter of individual control and planning than of unfavourable structural conditions. Our analysis indicated the stability of relative rankings in social hierarchy despite the huge amount of job moves. It was evident that having only higher education did not guarantee non-Estonians a stable position in the labour market. Broad social network helped to realize this resource.

Demonstrating the social situation of the people with disabilities requires determining their position in relation to the rest of society, which makes it necessary to compare the relationships of people with disabilities and people without them. Adopting this perspective makes it possible to reflect and capture the structure of social networks of the people with disabilities. This helps to show the factors hindering the integration of this category with society and to show the dynamics which they are subjected to. The analysis of this phenomenon enables the use of network theory, which serves as a tool of re-creating and multi-dimensional analysis of the dynamic network of social relations, essential in demonstrating the degree of marginalization of people with disabilities. The main aim of the article is to describe the characteristics of social networks of the people with disabilities, which will help to re-create the processes happening within them as well as identify the factors that reinforce the marginalization of this category and hinder its full integration with society. For this purpose, the analysis of existing data from the Social Diagnosis 2011 and 2015 has been applied, which enabled to examine the structure of social networks of people with disabilities.
Ukazanie położenia społecznego osób niepełnosprawnych wymaga określenia ich pozycji względem reszty społeczeństwa, co powoduje konieczność porównania relacji, w których uczestniczą osoby z deficytami sprawności i ludzie sprawni. Przyjęcie takiej perspektywy umożliwia odtworzenie i uchwycenie struktury sieci społecznych osób niepełnosprawnych. Pozwala to ukazać dynamikę integracji tej kategorii społecznej oraz wskazać czynniki ją utrudniające. Pokazanie tego zjawiska staje się możliwe dzięki zastosowaniu teorii sieci poprzez odtworzenie i wielowymiarową analizę dynamicznej sieci powiązań społecznych, która ma istotne znaczenie dla ukazania stopnia marginalizacji osób niepełnosprawnych.Zasadniczym celem artykułu będzie charakterystyka sieci społecznych osób niepełnosprawnych, co pozwoli odtworzyć zachodzące w ich ramach procesy i wskazać czynniki wzmacniające marginalizację tej kategorii i utrudniające jej pełne włączenie do społeczeństwa. W tym celu posłużono się analizą danych zastanych, pochodzących z Diagnozy Społecznej z roku 2011 i 2015.

One of the distinctive features of contemporary organisations is their interconnectedness. Relationships between companies are usually analysed on the basis of social network relationships between them. The research question this article aims to answer concerns the influence of being part of an interorganisational network on the occurrence and consequences of unethical behaviour.This paper covers three main areas of research regarding this topic. Firstly, the role networks play in the initiation, evolution, and consequences of wrongdoings. The main problem taken into consideration in this part of the article is identifying network factors which increase and mitigate the propensity of organisations to deceive their partners. Two main types of such determinants include relational and structural factors. The first group usually involves features such as the strength of ties, the symmetry/asymmetry of ties, and the status of partners. The latter includes such variables as structural holes, centrality, density and the cohesiveness of the network. The second area covered in this article concerns how misconduct behaviours spread throughout the network of interorganisational ties. This phenomenon might resemble a social or emotional contagion occurring in social networks. The effects of unethical acts on the network are the main interest of the third part of this paper. Usually, the consequences of wrongdoing by one of the interconnected partners include a change in the quality of the related partners, modifications in the structure of the network, and an alteration of its prominence and cohesion. In conclusion, there are some suggestions for lines of inquiry in the area of unethical behaviour from the social network perspective in the future.

Paper aims to diagnose the role and position of reputation in communication strategies of contemporary enterprises together with pointing out certain solutions on the one hand, and to present the role of consumer social networks, often exploited by enterprises for more or less manipulative marketing actions. The analysis revealed, that reputation became both benchmark for different relations of social and economic actors, concerning exchange of information, opinions and expectations, and also played the role of controller of those mutual relations. Consistent reacting to expectations of important groups from institutional environment through the means of CSR rules seems, as practice proves, the best tool to build reputation of an enterprise. However, it is possible only on the condition that public declarations and voluntary commitments are fulfilled. This is because social perception, basing on real, not declarative, practices, the most important factor determining reputation. Text tries to prove that social responsibility of an enterprise, incorporated in marketing communication strategies together with unassignable and precious social and ethical motives, might be also used for legitimisation procedures, used mainly by big companies, for whom reputation and positive image might often have greater value than short term profits. On the other hand, the logics of contemporary Communications marketing, especially network one, demands appeal not only to features of goods and services in customer relations, but also appealing to their emotions and ethical consciousness. This way, fulfilling principles of CSR codes, mainly marketing goals are achieved, through manipulation of affections of customers and their broken dreams, and their inclination to overvalue business relations elaborated on the basis of confidentiality, trust and individual treatment. From the perspective of Communications marketing strategies applied by a company the client starts to play variety of roles: of adviser, expert, critic or advertiser of a company activities, and, as a result, the role o trustworthy business partner, bringing profit to numerous companies (image, reputation, trust), promoting the enterprises and their products among the other members of consumer community. On each step of those basic stages of creating and maintaining Internet consumer community might occur and often occurs manipulation of emotion, motivations and needs of clients.

Our contribution deals with computer-mediated communication, especially social networks. Our main task is to answer the question if sexuality in the context of new media continue to be perceived as a taboo. Based on examples of different types of selfies, we try to prove that the perception of sexuality in the context of computer mediated communication is constantly changing and ceases to be a taboo topic. Proof of this constatation is different types of selfies, which the author divides into three main categories: selfies revealing intimate parts of human body, selfies showing underwear and selfies that reveal the sexual act itself.
Notre contribution s’intéresse à la communication médiée par ordinateur, en particulier aux réseaux sociaux. L’objectif principal de notre recherche est de savoir si la sexualité dans le contexte des nouveaux médias continue d’être perçue comme un tabou. En nous basant sur un corpus des selfie variés, nous essayons de prouver que la perception de la sexualité dans le contexte de la communication médiée par ordinateur change constamment et cesse d’être un sujet tabou. La preuve de cette constatation est une grande variété des selfies, que l’auteur classe en trois catégories principales : selfies dévoilant les parties intimes du corps humain, selfies montrant les sous-vêtements et selfies montrant l’acte sexuel.

This article discusses a survey about the knowledge of neologisms related to social networks conducted among speakers of the Polish language. The goal of the survey was to show the degree of assimilation of English lexemes in the Polish language among speakers of different age, education and social level. The results from the inquiry show the situation of English words that are integrated into the Polish language. By asking about words, concerning the popular social network Facebook, such as like, post, featuring, haste, check, fake we are able to draw interesting conclusions not only regarding the integration of English neologisms in Polish but also regarding their common use by different types of speakers.
Ce travail est basé sur une enquête menée auprès des locuteurs de la langue polonaise, portant sur la connaissance des néologismes liés aux réseaux sociaux. Cette enquête avait pour but de montrer le degré d'assimilation des lexèmes anglais dans la langue polonaise chez des locuteurs d’âges, d’éducations et de niveaux sociaux différents. Les résultats fournis par l'enquête illustrent la situation des mots anglais qui s'intègrent dans la langue polonaise. Par le biais de mots connus du réseau social populaire Facebook, tels: like, post, featuring, hate, check, fake, nous avons pu fournir des conclusions intéressantes sur l'intégration des néologismes anglais dans la langue courante polonaise et sur leur utilisation par différents types de locuteurs.

This paper addresses the application of the LEADER (2007–2013) programme in the rural areas of Eastern Germany. Adopting a monograph approach and structuralist methods of sociology, it analyses the forms of participation of the local stakeholders and the operation of the action system that supports the collective approach towards local development. The analysis examines the hypothesis that the learning of the LEADER approach, based on endogenous development practices and principles of local governance, is related to effects of geographical context formed by spatial configuration, the structure of the local economy, and the heritage of the past.
