    The concept of multiple-conclusion consequence relation from [8] and [7] is considered. The closure operation C assigning to any binary relation r (dened on the power set of a set of all formulas of a given language) the least multiple-conclusion consequence relation containing r, is dened on the grounds of a natural Galois connection. It is shown that the very closure C is an isomorphism from the power set algebra of a simple binary relation to the Boolean algebra of all multiple-conclusion consequence relations.

    Julian Tuwim was an accomplished translator of Russian poetry. Until recently, hiscontacts with the Russian emigrants in Poland in the interwar period had been scarcely known. The article expands on the topic of the influence of Tuwim’s poetry on the members of the Russian emigration and attempts to describe his role in the life of the Russian diaspora. What is even more interesting, Tuwim maintained his Russian relations also int he communist Poland, helping and supporting those who were forced to hide their past. Members of the Russian emigration (especially a distinguished critic Dymitr Fiłosofow) held Tuwim’s poetry in hight esteem, and they also appreciated him as a gifted translator. The article builds its critical argument on rare texts published in Russian emigration periodicals, archives and the post-war writings of Leon Gomolicki.

    This article explores how the use of communication technology has transformed social interactions and the sense of self that is derived from such interactions by considering the role of presence and absence in relationships among college students. Analyzing interviews with 38 participants, I explore how they construct understandings of presence, absence, connection, and disconnection within peer social groups and intimate relationships, indicating the emergence of a culture of hyper-connection. I suggest that technological developments have enabled forms of interaction that encourage frequent connection and the idealization of constant communication among participants. These findings further indicate that the normalization of hyper-connection may have impacts on relationship practices and constructions of identity among participants.

    The subject of the study focuses on the poetry of the Polish-French literature historian Zygmunt Lubicz-Zaleski (1882–1967). The reason for my research was the Polish edition (2016) of his poetic cycle Relikwiarz buchenwaldzki (Reliquary of Buchenwald) which was created in the Nazi concentration camp Buchenwald (Germany) between 1943–1945 and until now was not widely known among the readers in Poland. Lubicz-Zaleski’s concentration camp poetry is presented within the context of looking at the nuances that the Polish and German prisoners’ of war collection of poetry shared about their ordeal while in Buchenwald. I also point out the domination of the German former communist prisoners in access to publishing within the German Democratic Republic after 1945 and because of this the lack of availability of French and Polish publications in East Germany. The main aim of the study was looking at Lubicz-Zaleski’s war poetry and its reception in a broader historical-political context.

    Opis:
    This is a spin-off paper to [3, 4] in which we carried out an extensive analysis of Andrzej Grzegorczyk’s point-free topology from [5]. In [1] Loredana Biacino and Giangiacomo Gerla presented an axiomatization which was inspired by the Grzegorczyk’s system, and which is its variation. Our aim is to compare the two approaches and show that they are slightly different. Except for pointing to dissimilarities, we also demonstrate that the theories coincide (in the sense that their axioms are satisfied in the same class of structures) in presence of axiom stipulating non-existence of atoms.

    Opis:
    The article – focused on the exploration of the meanings of transgenerational scientific biographies – is a form of a dialogic conversation occurring between two members of the society of Łódź pedagogues. He – emerged in this society as a newcomer arriving from the world of anthropology and ethnography. She – a social pedagogue – made her way there from the circle of the family social work field. In spite of having different disciplinary origins, carrying on a dialog gives them a chance to recognize the paths indicating the existence of their common intellectual and experiencerelated connections. Using these common links, they work together on the interpretation and gradual detection of the signs of unacknowledged past, where ethnography and social pedagogy meet the foundations set by Helena Radlińska and Kazimiera Zawistowicz-Adamska.
    Tekst – zorientowany na odkrywanie sensów i znaczeń transgeneracyjnych biografii naukowych – jest formą rozmowy dialogicznej toczącej się pomiędzy dwoma osobami przynależącymi do środowiska łódzkich pedagogów. On pojawił się w nim jako przybysz ze świata antropologii i etnografii, ona – pedagog społeczny – przywędrowała z kręgu terenowej pracy socjalnej z rodziną. Na przekór posiadaniu odrębnych rodowodów dyscyplinarnych, dialogowanie daje im szansę na rozpoznanie tropów wskazujących na istnienie między nimi doświadczeniowo-intelektualnego pokrewieństwa. Bazując na nim, wykonują współdzieloną pracę interpretacyjną, stopniowo odkrywając ślady prowadzące do zapoznanej przeszłości, gdzie etnografia i pedagogika społeczna spotykają się w osobach Heleny Radlińskiej i Kazimiery Zawistowicz-Adamskiej.
