    The paper entitled Logopaedics at the University of Warsaw is composed of two sections. Section one discusses profi les of the following linguists: Jan Baudouin de Courtenay, Tytus Benni, Witold Doroszewski, Halina Koneczna, and Irena Styczek, whose academic research and organisational activity contributed most to the formation of the research on speech acquisition, development, and disorders at the University of Warsaw. Section two presents the history of establishing institutions training speech therapists at the University of Warsaw: Podyplomowe Studium Ortofonii Szkolnej (Postgraduate Studies of School Orthophony), Podyplomowe (later: Pomagisterskie) Studium Logopedyczne (Postgraduate Studies of Logopaedics), and various organisational forms and frameworks of training speech therapists as part of full-time programmes.

    This text presents the survey carried out among parents on the issue of speech development in their children raised in the environment of Polish–Swedish bilingualism in Sweden and convictions about the role of a speech-language pathologist in bilingual upbringing. The aim of this study is to fill the gap in speech-language pathology research on the parental perception of bilingualism in their children. Thematic analysis, a method applied in speech-language pathology abroad, was employed to obtain the results. The selected themes and the accompanying notions were characterised by diversity and multi-sidedness, which permits the conclusion on the holistic need to consider the subject of Polish–Swedish bilingualism in children.

    Opis:
    The aim of this article is to analyse the components of the additional notes contained in Polish language messages sent on postcards in the second half of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century. The conducted examination is intended to identify the elements constituting the structure of the additional notes (i.e. the speech acts used most commonly there) and to determine the functions fulfilled by the individual components of the postscript. The stimulus for taking up this type of investigations was the fact that no research on correspondence sent on postcards had been carried out before. Overall, the analysis covered more than 2,600 postscripts separated from postcard messages. The study proves that constative statements as well as initiative and reactive speech acts are frequently found in the additional notes. It also points to the numerous functions the postscript or its individual components might play in a postcard letter. The polite and phatic functions come to the foreground, but the informative and emotional functions are also among the important ones.

    Lauda uchwalane przez sejmiki ziemskie w dobie średniopolskiej mają dużą wartość dla historyka języka polskiego, ponieważ są świadectwem początków stylu urzędowego w polszczyźnie. Badania doprowadzają do wniosku, że repertuar czasowników performatywnych wykorzystywanych do werbalizowania norm był dość duży i zawierał zarówno wyrazy pochodzenia rodzimego, głównie czasowniki prefiksalne (np. odkładać, odsyłać, naznaczać, postanowić, ustanowić, umacniać, uwalniać), jak również leksykę genetycznie łacińska (np. aprobować, akceptować, deklarować, deputować, libertować, prefigować). Wszystkie deklaratywy w laudach są realizowane za pomocą zdań oznajmujących z orzeczeniem w 1. os. l. mn., rzadziej w 3. os. l. poj. Omówione wyżej intencje sporadycznie natomiast są wyrażane formami bezosobowymi, które dominują we współczesnych tekstach urzędowych.
    Resolutions adopted by regional councils in the Middle Polish age are highly valuable to a historian of the Polish language, since they are testimonies to the early Polish official style. The research leads to the conclusion that the repertoire of performative verbs used for verbalising norms was fairly extensive and contained both native words, mainly prefixal verbs (e.g. odkładać, odsyłać, naznaczać, postanowić, ustanowić, umacniać, uwalniać), and genetically Latin lexis (e.g. aprobować, akceptować, deklarować, deputować, libertować, prefigować). All declaratives in the resolutions are realised by means of indicative sentences with the predicate in the 1st person plural, less frequently in the 3rd person singular. The intentions discussed above are only occasionally expressed using impersonal forms, which prevail in the contemporary official texts.

    Autorka w artykule podejmuje zagadnienia związane z nauczanie m języka polskiego jako obcego z wykorzystaniem narzędzi logopedycznych obecnych w terapii chorych cierpiących na afazję. Na przykładzie wybranych materiałów rehabilitacyjnych pokazuje, w jakim stopniu mogą pojawić się one na zajęciach z języka polskiego jako obcego na poziomach A1 oraz A2. Przywołane narzędzia w dydaktyce JPJO mogą posłużyć rozwijaniu kompetencji leksykalnej, gramatycznej oraz kulturowej.
    The author takes up issues concerned with teaching Polish as a foreign language with the use of speech therapy tools present in the treatment of patients suffering from aphasia. On the example of selected rehabilitation materials, she shows the extent to which they can be used in classes of Polish as a foreign language at levels A1 and A2. The enumerated tools can be used in PFL didactics to develop lexical, grammatical, and cultural competences.
