Opis:
The research work described in the present study focused on the connection between self-education and the personal and professional interests of prospective music teachers; the role of motivation on self-development; the importance of developing in students the desire to gain scientific and professional knowledge, as well as to become familiar with innovative professional practices. It was observed that for the majority of the participants motivation for self-education was associated with their professional growth. To achieve effective self-education, undergraduates must possess the following qualities: self-confidence, independence of judgment, the ability to use the experience of their colleagues, the ability to cooperate, and the ability to defend their point of view. The suggested methodology of motivation and stimulation of future teachers’ self-education in the process of teaching practice is associated with the acquisition and updating of subjective experience, the search for links between internal and external experience.

Opis:
The issue of interrelationships between education, employment and the level of income evaluation is a cross-cutting nature, where the economic, social, political and legal levels are intertwined. Its broader context predicts its thematic coverage. The article presents preliminary results of the mutual relationship between acquired skills and the level of education achieved and the ability of the individual to become involved in the labor market. The aim of the article is to determine, using statistical and analytical methods, the correlation between the employment rate and the level of education attained in the EU countries and within the territory of the Slovak Republic. On the basis of the initial analysis the authors aim to answer the question if university graduates achieve higher incomes than secondary-educated people. Eventually they try to propose solutions and measures that are necessary for increasing the level and value of human capital, especially in the Slovak Republic.

Opis:
Nowadays, innovation is perhaps the most widely spoken global keyword in the field of economy. Everyone talks about innovation and the European Union already for more than a decade, has wanted through innovation to catch up with and take the leading position in the world. However, what is the reality? Europe still has difficulties with the pace of economic growth, which according to many is joined combined with innovation and knowledge. Asian countries often set a price of an innovated product of poor quality and with no added value that includes huge cost of efficient marketing and aggressive advertising. Therefore, is innovation everything what is called this way? Though the world controls the speed and acceleration of changes, it does not mean necessarily an advantage or positive effects. And evolution of a star in a supernova and then a black hole is in the final stages accelerated in an unusual way. The inspiration for our article was slanted to cheap using the word “innovation”, just because it is a European priority. We just drew from his knowledge and life experiences.

Higher Education Institution (HEI)
Opis:
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, digital transformation has significantly accelerated in many industries, including somewhat slow-changing higher education. The epidemic situation pushed students, faculties, and administrators to experiment to a much greater degree with online classes, digital cooperation, and virtual student services. For the majority of the academic community, this situation created a completely new reality. Indeed, the digital experience in higher education was for some community members quite challenging, if not traumatic. Fairly soon, however, the digital experiment proved successful in many areas. In some cases, even more effective than conservative practices. The Virtual University Concept (VUC) has been a topic of debate for quite some time, but only now has it found a receptive audience in all sectors of the academic community. In the following articles, the authors will attempt to conceptualize the virtual university as an innovative way to address contemporary challenges for Higher Education Institutions (HEI), specifically their ability to identify, create and capture value for students. The concept of the VUC is grounded in a literature review, the professional experience of the authors, as well as the student survey, which was conducted in one of Cracow’s private colleges. The authors have listed fundamental areas of focus that need to be addressed before attempting to model the VUC. They include the technical and technological capacity of a HEI, faculty development, cost management, innovation, and students' and employers' value perceptions. All this must be done with the goal of providing value to key stakeholders at a reasonable cost. All the authors' inquiry streams seem to suggest that if well designed and implemented, the VUC can be a source of significant value to students and therefore should be considered in HEI expansion and turnaround strategies.
