Opis:
In this paper there is discussed value migration from the perspective of all economic sectors. It was introduced the method for measuring the sectorial value migration and the algorithm for classification with respect to three stages value migration model. The value migration measurement was conducted employing multivariate comparative analyses and in particular linear ordering to construct a synthetic variable of development. On the basis of the proposed measure, the ranking of value migration development and classification of sectors to the particular phases of value migration processes were delivered.

Opis:
Multidimensional analysis uses various measures for assessing economic effects. However, no single synthetic measure, regardless how popular, can give a satisfactory solution to the above problem. In general, various approaches of combining measures can lead to stable outcomes. Nevertheless, when combining "weak" classifiers one can obtain inevitably poorer classification. We propose here a new approach to construct doubly synthetic measures. The main goal of this work is to analyse the influence these new synthetic measures on the ranking of multidimensional objects.

This work is a direct continuation of previous works of authors ([Binderman, Borkowski, Szczesny 2008, Binderman, Szczesny 2009]). The goal of this work is to generalize known methods of constructing measures of synthetic objects, methods that use radar charts of vectors. The methods listed in this work factor in weights assigned to features and make the values of indicators independent from the ordering of considered features. The listed methods have been applied in the analysis of regional differentiation of agriculture in Poland between 2001 and 2010.

The aim of the paper was to assess the regional differentiation of the level of agriculture and its changes over time. Based on the synthetic measure of development the rankings of regions (provinces) were created. The objects were also classified and divided into groups of a similar level of agriculture. In addition, in order to identify the long-term tendency in this sector of economy, the process of -convergence of the level of agriculture has been studied. For the verification of hypotheses dynamic panel models were applied. All computations were performed in the Gretl, based on CSO data.

The aim of this paper is to determine the level of diversification of Polish voivodeships in terms of the selected indicators of transport infrastructure. The data collected from the Local Data Bank of Central Statistical Office will be used in the paper. By means of some methods of linear ordering and cluster analysis the ordering and classification of the Polish voivodeships will be carried out. The obtained results will allow to make an evaluation of Polish voivodeships in terms of the level of development of transport infrastructure.

One of the key tasks of the provincial labour offices is the regular monitoring of the situation on the labour market. It includes assessment of the equilibrium in each profession, in order to determine a deficit, balance or excess in professions. In this paper the results of a study designed to determine the condition of groups of occupations have been presented. The study was based on a multidimensional analysis of the data collected in regard to demand and supply of labour in terms of the individual data, which allowed for a relative assessment of the situation in the various professions.

The scope of Polish macro-economic data for assessing the level of socio-economic development of the country is largely limited because of the regional variation. Therefore there is a need for cyclic selection and the verification of criteria which allow identifying regions with a similar level of socio-economic development or those that clearly differ from the mean values. The aim of the study is to compare Poland’s provinces in terms of their socio-economic development, which helps identify the most similar regions as far as the adopted criteria are concerned.

The pension systems in the majority of European states have been reformed because of serious changes in the demographic structure of the populations. Therefore funded pillars have been added to the pension systems. This addi-tional (to pay as you go system) pillar, created by pension funds, is manda-tory in some countries. The investments made by the pension funds influ-ence the development of financial markets and affect the situation in na-tional economies. The aim of the paper is comparative analysis of the pen-sion fund markets in selected European states in the years 2000-2013, using the synthetic measure of development.

The aim of this paper is to compare the IS development in the poviats of the podkarpackie voivodship. The synthetic development measures were determined according to: the multiplicative aggregation of indices and the TOPSIS method. Two levels of aggregation and weights determined by the AHP method were used. In the following work a new method was proposed to study similarity of objects’ structures. This method is an adaptation of radar methods of objects’ ordering and cluster analysis, which are being developed by the authors. The value added by the authors is the construction of measures for conformability of structures of two objects. Those measures may also be used to define similarities between given objects. Proposed measures are independent of the order of features.

The health care system in Poland or any other country should ensure an equal and unrestricted availability of the health service to its population. This idea, though being noble and harmonious with the country’s constitution, seems to differentiate small administrative regions of the Silesian voivodeship. Therefore the presented paper is an attempt to estimate and analyse conditions of the health care system activity in this region. Those regions were systematized based on a structure of health care system. Also, a homogeneous groups of regions were created. The analysis is based on the cluster analysis.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy porównawczej stanu rynku pracy w powiatach województwa mazowieckiego z wykorzystaniem zmiennej syntetycznej. Na podstawie wartości zmiennej syntetycznej sporządzono ranking powiatów, a następnie wyodrębniono grupy typologiczne składające się z jednostek o podobnej sytuacji na rynku pracy. Stwierdzono, że zmienna syntetyczna pozwala rzetelniej niż stopa bezrobocia porównać rzeczywistą sytuację na lokalnych rynkach pracy.
The paper presents the results of comparative analysis of labour market in districts of Mazowieckie voivodship using synthetic indicator. The districts were listed from the best to the worst on the basis of synthetic indicator level and next groups of districts with a similar situation on local labour market were created. It was stated that synthetic indicator provides more reliable comparison of local labour markets than the unemployment rate.

Zróżnicowanie poziomu rozwoju społecznego w Polsce na poziomie lokalnym jest znacznie większe niż pomiędzy województwami. Właściwy pomiar wymaga wykorzystania odpowiednich mierników. Jednym z nich jest Wskaźnik Rozwoju Społecznego (HDI), a na poziomie lokalnym Lokalny Wskaźnik Rozwoju Społecznego (LHDI). Celem pracy jest ocena stopnia rozwoju społecznego na poziomie lokalnym. Wykorzystano miarę opartą na wskaźnikach dotyczących: zdrowia, edukacji i zamożności oraz wskaźnikach nakładów na: zdrowie, edukację oraz wydatki na poziomie lokalnym. Budowę miary syntetycznej oparto na medianie Webera.
Diversity of level of social development in Poland on the local level is much higher than between regions. Correct measurement requires the use of suitable measurers. One of the most common measures used to assess the level of social development is Human Development Index and Local Human Development Index. The aim of the paper is the assessment of level of social development on the local level. There was used the synthetic variable, with indicators for: health, education and wealth as well as health expenditures index, educational expenditures index and local expense index. The construction of synthetic measure based on the median Weber.
