The specificity of the work organization in Industry 4.0 varies depending on the technological development and the level of security of new technology solutions. Employees are required to maintain a key function in working with knowledge, including decentralized decision-making and the safety and quality assessment of the production processes. The results of occupational risk assessment are presented here as a method contributing not only to the improvement of production processes, but also to the improvement of the product quality level. Author presents solutions in the field of occupational health and safety management applied in the chosen production company in the department of repair and anti-corrosion works, which contributed to the product quality level improvement.

Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) is a popular approach to enhancing occupational safety, with many researchers reporting successes of implementing BBS programs. There are, however, studies that see this approach as illusory, bringing more harm than good. The first goal of this article is to present an overview of literature providing both evidence and elaboration of implementing BBS programs, highlighting both positive and negative views of the approach. The second goal is to discuss the perception of the method, based on a literature review and authors’ own research.

The article concerns on issues related with the level of health and safety for the operator of plastics injection molding machine. Analysis of operating conditions on a workplace allows to determine the existing hazards and the connection of them with the construction of the machine and with the course of the injection process. The article contains information related to the construction of the injection molding machine (individual machine assemblies) and a description of the plastic injection process taking into account its individual phases.

Opis:
The aim of the work is to review the basic methods of accident analysis in terms of the possibility of using them to improve occupational safety management. Analyzing accident events is a very good way to obtain information on the practical functioning of OSH management. Although the analysis of accidents and near misses is included in the reactive activities, the changes that will be introduced as a result of this analysis are the most proactive. These irregularities can be related to all elements and aspects of the functioning of the organization from the technical, organizational, human, environmental and management side, and the accident analysis helps to identify them. The paper reviews and characterizes the basic methods of accident analysis, with particular emphasis on accidents at work. Moreover, the basic classification criteria and the main guidelines for the selection of these methods are presented in such a way that they can be effectively used to improve the OSH management system.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu środków, które eliminują bądź ograniczają zagrożenia występujące w środowisku pracy. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na techniczne środki bezpieczeństwa, stosowane przy bezpiecznej eksploatacji maszyn. Autorki pracy zwróciły również uwagę na najnowsze trendy, jakie panują w ochronie szeroko pojętych układów bezpieczeństwa maszyn. Podział technicznych środków bezpieczeństwa, a także znajomość klasyfikacji, co stanowi bardzo ważny aspekt podczas oceny, analizy i redukcji ryzyka. Dodatkowo w artykule zostały przedstawione przykładowe piktogramy, które stanowią informację dla pracowników o potencjalnych zagrożeniach wynikających z eksploatacji danej maszyny.
This article briefly reviews the safety precautions that eliminate or reduce the hazards that may exist in the work environment. Particular attention was paid to the technical safety precautions used for the safe operation of the machine. The authors of work also pointed attention to the latest trends which prevail in the protection of broadly defined systems of machine safety. Distribution of technical security measures, as well as knowledge of the classification, which is a very important aspect during the evaluation, analysis and risk reduction. In addition, the article presents examples of pictograms that represent information for workers about the potential risks arising from the operation of the machine.

In the article there were presented issues related to the improvement of the occupational health and safety (OHS) management system in a selected energy industry company. The research entity belongs to the leading producers of electricity and heat in Poland. In the paper there were analyzed data on accidents in the research period covering the years 2012-2017. There was also made a short description of the company's activities regarding internal health and safety inspections carried out periodically. Furthermore, there were analyzed the activities improving the occupational health and safety management system in a selected research entity. In the paper there were also presented the sizes and types of activities (projects), that were aimed at improving the health and safety area and included in the company's business strategy. On the basis of the data and the analyzes carried out, it was possible to make a comprehensive assessment of the health and safety management system of the company and to indicate that corrective actions are continuous.

The management of the work environment aims at shaping all elements of the work environment, also in the aspect of safety. All activities in the field of planning, organizing, conducting and controlling individual elements of the work environment are aimed at optimizing the working conditions. In office and administrative work many factors affect the level of occupational health and safety. In the paper, the selected physical factors of the work environment - lighting, noise and microclimate - at the office and administration position in order to shape a safe, ergonomic and optimal workplace have been analyzed. The article uses measurement methods using devices - noise, lighting and microclimate meters.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed working conditions in many industries. Some of them have been completely closed, with no possibility of any professional activity, others have changed the manner of performing employee tasks, place and time. Many jobs have been moved home. These were mainly service industries, where exposure to psychophysical hazards increased incomparably to the previous working conditions. Administrative and office work during the Covid-19 pandemic has brought huge changes in the form of an increased risk of musculoskeletal disorders. This article presents the results of quantitative and qualitative research on the scale of musculoskeletal ailments in the administrative and office work of academic teachers and preventive measures to reduce the effects of these ailments. The research was conducted remotely using a questionnaire in three research and teaching centers in the Silesian Voivodeship. Quantitative research was supported by a direct interview conducted directly among academic teachers at one of the universities in the Silesian Voivodeship. According to the presented research results, respondents noticed a significant increase in musculoskeletal disorders dictated by the rapid change in working conditions related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Every second respondent pointed to non-ergonomic working conditions at home and a long time of exposure to static physical load, with particular emphasis on the sitting position (at the computer), as the main cause of the ailments. The research also touched on issues related to preventive measures to minimize the aforementioned ailments undertaken by both universities and the respondents themselves. The presented results are part of a larger whole planned over time.

Poniższy artykuł opisuje proces oceny ryzyka zawodowego na stanowisku operatora maszyn CNC w przedsiębiorstwie X. Ocena przeprowadzana jest w celu określenia poziomu bezpieczeństwa oraz zagrożeń z jakimi może się spotkać pracownik wykonujący tę pracę w przedsiębiorstwie. Analizę warunków pracy opracowano poprzez zastosowanie matrycowej oceny ryzyka opisanej w normie PN-N-18002. Przeprowadzone badanie przeprowadzono w celu określenia warunków pracy na stanowisku operatora maszyn CNC oraz uzyskania danych wymaganych do procesu doskonalenia przedsiębiorstwa w aspektach bezpieczeństwa. Uzyskane wyniki posłużą przedsiębiorstwu do dalszej analizy oraz szkoleń w zakresie podnoszenia świadomości pracowniczej oraz poprawy warunków pracy.
The following article describes the process of occupational risk assessment at the position of a CNC machine operator in enterprise X. The assessment is carried out in order to determine the level of safety and the risks that an employee performing this work in a company may face. The analysis of working conditions was developed through the use of a matrix risk assessment described in the PN-N-18002 standard. The conducted research was carried out to determine the working conditions at the CNC machine operator's position and to obtain the data required for the process of improving the enterprise in the safety aspects. The obtained results will serve the company for further analysis and training in the field of employee awareness and improvement of working conditions.

W artykule skupiono się na metodach badań dotyczących analiz potencjalnych zagrożeń związanych z wykonywana pracą na stanowisku spawacza ręcznego. Publikacja zawiera analizę pięciu zagrożeń, na stanowisku przemysłowym, wykonaną przy pomocy 4 metod oceny ryzyka zawodowego. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie różnic dokładności ocen ryzyka zawodowego wynikających ze specyfik zastosowanych metod oraz określenie najdokładniejszej metody, która okazała się być metoda wskaźnika poziomu ryzyka, z uwagi na największą liczbę badanych parametrów.
The paper presents the problem of accuracy of determining the level of professional risk in industrial positions. The article focuses on methods of research concerning the analysis of potential threats connected with working as a hand welder. The publication contains an analysis of five hazards, on an industrial site, carried out with the use of 4 methods of risk assessment. The aim of the paper is to present differences in accuracy of occupational risk assessment resulting from the specifics of applied methods and to determine the most accurate method, which turned out to be the risk level indicator method, due to the largest number of examined parameters.

Opis:
The mining industry in Serbia has an important place in the country's economic development. Bearing in mind that the number of injuries that occur in the mining industry is unacceptably high, occupational safety and health is a challenge that existing and future mines will have to deal with. Studying injuries in mining, it was noticed that injuries requiring an absence from work for more than three days (especially fatal ones) are diametrically different in relation to the cause and manner of events related to injuries for which an absence from work is not necessary. In this research, authors focused on injuries that were characterized as ones requiring an absence from work. The statistical analysis of work-related injuries in mining is presented, as well as analysis of the direct causes of injuries, which are described as unsafe conduct of employees, unsafe conduct of company's management and/or unsafe working environment. In relation to classification of causes of injuries, a recommendation on what needs to be changed in order to remedy this situation in Serbia is given.
