Opis:
The article presents a case study; an analysis and a proposal concerning the improvement of the conditions of occupational health and safety in a reloading terminal of a logistics company. The specificity of the workplace means that employees are exposed to a permanent overload of the musculoskeletal system, which is determined in the process of transporting loads of significant mass. After the analysis, the introduction of changes in the conditions of safe and hygienic work at selected positions was suggested. Qualitative research using the observation method, as well as a quantitative approach after introducing changes in working conditions show a change in employees' attitudes to their work, as well as their higher performance. After a year of operation of the proposed and introduced changes, it was decided to introduce them for new employees and external companies working at the transshipment terminal.

The publication focuses on issues related to the culture of safety and the culture of quality. The aim of the publication is to analyze the literature on the subject of these two concepts and to present the relationship between the culture of quality and culture of safety. The integrated system should include the culture of an integrated management system, which will include issues related to individual partial cultures, for example the cultures of quality and safety presented in this publication. This concept includes all elements of the culture of quality and culture of occupational safety. This opens up new, interesting research fields, consistent with contemporary trends in both theory and practice of management sciences. Considering the practical dimension of management sciences, it is difficult to consider separately the "culture" of individual subsystems, where in most enterprises, especially industrial ones, these systems do not appear separately and are implemented in the form of an integrated system.

Opis:
Companies operating on the market have to cope with a variety of crisis situations which may adversely affect their development and jeopardise the achievement of their objectives. A crisis situation may, on the one hand, have a negative impact on the development of the company, but, on the other hand, it may provide a stimulus and have a constructive effect on its functioning. One of the factors influencing the ability to function of a business, including crisis situations, is its organisational culture. Therefore, a company responding to the situation should assess the conditions both in its environment and inside it and verify the artefacts, the system of values and the main principles that are the basis for building an organisational culture. Many companies that are dealing with a crisis situation decide to undertake a conscious process of cultural transformation. However, it requires the management to take appropriate actions and the time of a crisis situation is a test for many companies – whether in such a difficult moment something can still be done with the organisational culture, or whether the entrepreneurs can only wait for its inevitable impact on the functioning of the company. The subject of this article is the impact of a crisis situation on changes occurring within the organisational culture. The study attempts to evaluate the role of organizational culture in crisis situations based on the current state of knowledge and crisis events related to COVID-19

Każdy przedsiębiorca musi dostosować zakład pracy do obowiązujących wymagań prawnych dotyczących bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy. Dbanie o środowisko pracy jest obowiązkiem pracodawcy. Jednakże pracodawca powinien również dbać o kulturę BHP w zakładzie pracy. Kształtowanie pozytywnych zachowań i norm postępowania pracowników ma wpływ na jakość i wydajność pracy. Pracodawca powinien kształtować politykę BHP w taki sposób, aby przeciwdziałać wypadkom w pracy oraz zachowaniom potencjalnie niebezpiecznym. Dlatego tez ma on do dyspozycji liczne metody, które ułatwiają zarządzanie BHP w przedsiębiorstwie. Przedmiotem opracowania jest opisanie i wdrożenie metody „5 minut dla bezpieczeństwa” w przedsiębiorstwie jako element poprawiający kulturę BHP.
Each entrepreneur must adapt the workplace to the applicable legal requirements regarding health and safety a t work. Caring for a working environment is the responsibility of the employer. However, the employer should also take care of health and safety at work. Shaping positive behaviors and norms of employees' behavior influences the quality and efficiency of work. The employer should shape health and safety policy in such a way as to prevent accidents at work and potentially dangerous behavior. Therefore, he has at his disposal numerous methods that facilitate the management of occupational health and safety in the enterprise. The subject of the study is to describe and implement the "5 minutes for security" method in an enterprise as an element improving the culture of health and safety.

Opis:
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on personal and professional lives of people around the whole world. Numerous enterprises were forced to limit their activities. However, the employees of certain industries, performing work necessary for the normal functioning of the society, have been constantly exposed to epidemiological threats. The construction industry is an example of this. The ongoing threat of the pandemic could have had a significant impact on the workers’ behaviour and perceptions of safety. The work safety culture could have undergone such a change. The main purpose of the article was to determine whether the pandemic influenced the work safety culture in the construction industry. The methodological tool applied was a questionnaire addressed to people who directly supervised work on construction sites. The survey was conducted among 49 Polish enterprises operating in the Silesian Province. The results of the research indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes in the work safety culture, most of which were positive. An analysis of the litera-ture on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the safety of workers indicates that publications in this area are primarily aimed at representatives of healthcare, while there are few publications on changes in the area of health and safety in the construction industry. This paper is an attempt to fill this research gap.
