The article presents a method of solving the problem of the assessment of the exploitation policy. It was assumed that the evaluation of the exploitation policy can and should be carried out with reference to defined universal patterns. This allows comparability of such a policy, as well as making decisions regarding necessary changes. Therefore, there was proposed a way of building pattern models of the exploitation policy and there was carried out the assessment of the exploitation policies of the selected technical network systems, based on the selected taxonomic model.

The article is of theoretical and empirical character. The main objective is to identify certain conditions related to the innovative ambidexterity of Polish startups. The objective implementation protocol of the study determined its structure. Its first part presents the most important theoretical concepts related to the presented issues. In particular, on the basis of the literature on the subject, analyses of the innovative ambidexterity. Moreover a start-up was equated with a company operating no longer than a year, which offers an innovative solution. Theoretical considerations provided the basis for the empirical presentation of the results of the author's own research conducted in 2019 in Poland on startups. On the basis of the outcome it has been established the most important factors determining innovative ambidexterity in startups are: having access to external source of financing and to external infrastructure as well as the acquisition of a license/patent. Moreover it has been diagnosed that create innovation and simultaneously reduce in startups the tension between exploitation and exploration activities to a large extent rely on external sources when implementing their innovation processes. For the theory on management, the theoretical-empirical deliberations presented in the article may be a valuable source of information within the scope of the influence the particular elements of innovative ambidexterity have on startups. However, for entrepreneurs they may be an impulse in the field of effective use of the innovative ambidexterity in the process of building competitiveness of young companies in Poland.

The article addresses the problem of population aging and the related problem of using and maintenance of technical means by the older persons. Such persons, as participants of the exploitation process, experience various problems. Therefore, the challenge is to adapt technical means to the needs of older people. The response of engineers to this challenge may be the technology assessment, which assumes the adoption of various achievements in the field of philosophy, sociology, psychology or other social sciences as tools for their work. The proposal for such a solution is presented in the article and it is an indicator that allows you to draw conclusions about the real needs of older people. The effect of calculations with its use is the Wi characterization in the function of the human age. This characteristic complements the characteristics obtained on the basis of empirical data about the behavior of a technical mean. The article also presents the possibilities of using the discussed indicator. These include: improving the quality of life of users of technical means at various ages through rational management of company resources, improving the quality of life of users through user-centered design, exclusion from exploitation by the elderly technical means/their components based on social technology assessment, analysis and optimization of needs people of different ages, modeling the movement of older people, elimination of social exclusion of older people, improving the quality of life of people of all ages through appropriate knowledge management.

Dustiness of the mine atmosphere during carrying out exploitation is one of the most hazardous factors threaten to health and life of employees. Also it is large hazard for all type of mechanical and electrical devices operating in mining headings. Coal dust is also very dangerous due to its possibility of explosion. Currently applied technologies of rock mass mining process, entire transport process of output and applied ventilation system cause that rock and coal dust is presented practically in each of the mining heading. Practically, is impossible to eliminate dust from mining headings. However, one can determine its parameters and potential ways its displacement. In the paper there is presented modeling research methodology of dustiness state in a driven dog heading. Developed model is the basis for this methodology, including the diphase flow of mixture of air and dust in the mining heading. Analysis was performed for real driven dog heading. Based on performed analyses, distributions of particular fraction and movement trajectories of selected dust grains were determined. Developed methodology gives a lot of opportunities for analysis of dustiness state in mining headings and in other compartments. It enables to determine parameters of particular grains and their impact on ventilation parameters of the air stream in the tested headings. Obtained results can also be used to reduce dust hazard.

Artykuł omawia tematykę prowadzenia szkolenia użytkowników zgrzewarki do rur termoplastycznych. Prezentuje wybrane metody oraz techniki możliwe do wykorzystania na etapie prowadzenia tego szkolenia. Przedstawiono także urządzenie wspomagające nabywanie umiejętności manualnych, związanych z użytkowaniem urządzeń zgrzewających rury z tworzyw termoplastycznych. Artykuł kończą wnioski dotyczące podniesienia efektywności szkoleń, związanych z nabywaniem umiejętności w zakresie użytkowania urządzeń.
The article discusses the subject of conducting training of user of welders for thermoplastic pipes. It presents the selected method and techniques, possible to use at a stage of conducting this training. The device, supporting the acquisition of manual skills, related to the use of devices sealing thermoplastic pipes was also shown. Conclusions on improving the effectiveness of training relatedthe acquisition of skills in the use of equipment finish the article.

The article take issues of the exploitation policy assessment of technical systems. After the discussion of the mathematical models possible for use in the assessment of the functioning of technical systems in enterprises, an analytical concept based on the resultant of the three features is presented: time, costs i quantity of maintenance tasks, referred to the four work categories. The proposed concept was verified for selected technical network systems. The last aspect of the article is the analysis and interpretation of the results obtained in the context of the exploitation policy assessment.
Artykuł podejmuje problematykę oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej systemów technicznych. Po przeprowadzonej dyskusji nad modelami matematycznymi możliwymi do zastosowania w ocenie funkcjonowania służb technicznych przedsiębiorstw, przedstawiono koncepcję analityczną opartą na wypadkowej trzech wielkości: czasu, kosztów i liczby prac obsługowo-naprawczych, odniesionej do czterech kategorii prac. Zaproponowaną koncepcję poddano weryfikacji dla wybranych sieciowych systemów technicznych. Ostatnim aspektem podejmowanym w artykule jest analiza i interpretacja uzyskanych wyników w kontekście oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej.

The article presents the problems of determining the mass efficiency of a rotary feeder depending on the selection of design parameters of the device, such as outer diameter, number of blades and rotational speed of the rotor. The hitherto theoretical methods of calculating the feeder efficiency were presented, as well as a new method of determining the device operation parameters was proposed. For this purpose, the numerical Discrete Element Method was used, which allowed simulating the transport of limestone powder in a cell feeder with various design variants. The results of the tests showed that the above design parameters affect the instantaneous efficiency of the feeder and thus impact the distribution of the dosed material during the operation of the device. Depending on the design solution, the simulation results gave information on the fill factor of the feeders. The study showed a significant potential of DEM simulation in the design of circular feeders intended for dosing bulk materials.

The subject matter presented in the article touches the problem of incufficient efficiency of processes and systems in organisation. Achievement of adequate efficiency value is a guarantor of competitive advantage of enterprise. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly work on methods and techniques to improve efficiency, tailored to the needs of various organizations, which also includes service enterprises. Service enterprises include public transport companies. The purpose of the latter is to guarantee that the passenger will be transported from stop A to stop B within a certain time. Failure to achieve this goal incurs certain social costs. Therefore, the article focuses on measures and ways to improve efficiency, developed in Eastern Asian enterprises that have been successful as a result of their use. The first part of the article reviews the literature, including the methods used in this part of the world. The second part, however, concerns the possibility of using the BOST method in improving the efficiency of public transport enterprise processes in Poland.

The article shall discuss the possibility of exploitation policy assessment of companies managing complex technical systems. The analysis of the opportunities and needs of quantitative assessment of exploitation policy showed, that such assessment may be conducted on the basis of multidimensional set of values resulting from the synthesis of the key features associated with the performing maintenance works. Based on the results of previous studies, it was built taxonomic model for assessing exploitation policy, supplemented by an identification procedure of reference (positioning) taxonomic variants. The developed way of assessing exploitation policy will be subject of verification in terms of functioning of selected technical network systems.
Artykuł podejmuje dyskusję nad możliwością oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej przedsiębiorstw zarządzających złożonymi systemami technicznymi. Analiza możliwości i potrzeb ilościowej oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej wykazała, że ocena taka może być prowadzona w oparciu o wielowymiarowy zbiór wartości wynikający z syntezy kluczowych cech związanych z realizacją prac obsługowo-naprawczych. W oparciu o wyniki dotychczasowych badań, zbudowano taksonomiczny model oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej, uzupełniony procedurą identyfikacji wzorcowych (pozycjonujących) wariantów taksonomicznych. Opracowany sposób oceny polityki eksploatacyjnej będzie przedmiotem weryfikacji w warunkach funkcjonowania wybranych sieciowych systemów technicznych.

In the article, the authors describe, using the example of a selected class of technical means, their concept of replacing the “classical” linear management (exploitation) model with a circular economy (CE) model. An example of an object for which the authors plan to test the feasibility of the concept presented above is a household washing machine driven by a DC motor. The description of this object included in the article considers its complexity and multiplicity of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and elements. The DC electric motor driving the washing machine was considered the most important from the point of view of the created model, especially in terms of the possibility of maintenance and repair. For such an engine, the article presents the maintenance and disposal model as elements of the concept of building a ‘circular’ business model. The authors assumed that the formal basis for such a model would be the so-called circular model. The methodology and plan of the research carried out at Super Asia washing machine company in Pakistan were introduced, and the research results were shown. With the use of these results, an attempt was made to assess the requirements that the application of the CE business model places on manufacturers of a selected class of devices, both in their manufacture, repair, sharing and dematerialization. The concept of further research is described at the end of the article.

In the article the way of improvement quality of life as users and maintainers of technical means is presented. It is assumed that it is necessary to keep the fundamental of sustainable development. Therefore the application of the scheme of the process of satisfying needs is shown. It helps establish the activities necessary to achieve this goal and enables to plan required information resources. In the range of exploitation and design tasks the application of original strategy of exploitation by older persons was proposed. This strategy uses 6R method which in the future will be supplemented on elements commonly executed strategies and policies of exploitation. Decision making in accordance with proposed strategy will be possible by performing calculations and simulation with the use of multidisciplinary model, whose conception was indicated in the article and which uses matrix of assessment of the quality of life.

Liniowe deformacje nieciągłe są najczęściej efektem prowadzenia eksploatacji górniczej w rejonie uskoków tektonicznych oraz eksploatacji górniczej do jednej wspólnej krawędzi co związane jest z tworzeniem się tzw. skarp eksploatacyjnych. Deformacje nieciągłe w podanych przypadkach ujawniają się w postaci szczelin, progów i uskoków terenowych powodując najczęściej szkody w obiektach infrastruktury drogowej. W pracy przedstawiono analizę przyczyn powstania liniowych deformacji nieciągłych sporządzoną na podstawie: inwentaryzacji progów terenowych, map pokładowych oraz zakresu dokonanej eksploatacji górniczej w wybranym rejonie.
Linear discontinuous deformations are usually the result of conduct of mining activities in the area of tectonic faults and mining to one common edge which is associated with the formation of the so-called slope supplies. Discontinuous deformations in given cases show up in the form of slots, thresholds and faults field causing the most damage to road infrastructure objects. The paper presents an analysis of the causes of linear deformation of discontinuous drawn up on the basis of: inventory thresholds field, coal seam maps and the scope of mining exploitation in the selected area.

W artykule przedstawiono stan zagrożenia metanowego w polskich kopalniach węgla kamiennego. Omówiono systemy przewietrzania ścian eksploatacyjnych. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność stosowania odmetanowania, które powinno być dostosowane do systemu przewietrzania ściany. Przedstawiono efektywności odmetanowania w zależności od stosowanej metody odmetanowania oraz systemu przewietrzania ścian. Na tej podstawie sformułowano zasady dotyczące projektowania odmetanowania oraz podano wytyczne do praktycznego stosowania, które powinny przyczyniać się do skutecznego odmetanowywania górotworu w kopalniach węgla kamiennego. Zaproponowano dobór systemów przewietrzania i odmetanowania ścian w zależności od prognozowanej metanowości bezwzględnej.
The state of methane hazard in Polish coal mines is presented in the paper. Ventilation systems of longwall panels are discussed. The necessity of methane drainage usage has been emphasised, which should be adapted to the panel ventilation system. The effectiveness of the methane drainage relating to using the both, methane drainage method and the panel ventilation system, has been described. On this basis, the principles of methane drainage planning are formulated, as well as practical guidance is given. It should contribute to effective methane drainage in hard coal mines. It was proposed to choose the ventilation and methane drainage systems for longwall panel depending on the predicted methane emission.
