Opis:
In the current research, we surveyed the effective factors of accidents that had occurred on the road from Hamadan to Sanandaj. Road transportation is an inseparable part and the backbone of all transportation networks of most countries. Driving accidents are considered the major problem of road transportation and the increment process of accidents is so that it has reached crisis proportions. Basically, in road accidents, three factors are considered to be of importance: human activity, road and vehicle condition. The current research is a field study in the terms of data collection method and is considered to be Applied Research in the terms of purpose (or objective) and studied subject nature. The study population consists of suburban public transport fleet drivers working the Sanandaj - Hamadan road (26 persons). The tool was a questionnaire. In order to analyze the statistical data, the resulting information from the questionnaires were firstly extracted and then analysed by applying the Pearson correlation test. The results show that there is a clear relationship between the effective factors of accidents and road accidents.

Opis:
This thesis deals with a complicated matter of teaching English language to adults. Teaching is highly challenging, intellectually demanding and emotionally rewarding. A teacher has in his hands welfare of his students and it is his responsibility to instill knowledge into them. Adult learners have characteristics that distinguish them from “traditional” school or college learners. They are considered to be very demanding students because they already have experiences on the education al and working field so the organized learning plan seems to be essential for them. Teachers choose suitable methods of teaching with deliberation taking into account adults' styles of learning because the right choice makes the teaching and learning process more effective.

Filter is immensely used to distinguish distinctive human signal progressively. In this article, a digital finite impulse response (FIR) filter is presented for the quick detection of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal to smooth and compress the signal. This paper means to structure an advanced FIR filter based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to get faster biomedical signals specially EEG signals. For this respect, a simple and cost-effective FIR filter is introduced to make EEG signal noise free, less costly, less power consuming and simple. It requires less space for chip implementation than other digital filter and avoid the mixture of other biomedical signal. For hardware execution, FPGA board is utilized which is a mix of various logic gates and registers which offers cheap and dependable administrations.

Opis:
Sealed can technique using CR-39 plastic track detector strippable has been used in order to measure radon concentrations to calculate the annual effective dose and lung cancer cases per year per million person for twenty different brand tobacco cigarette were collected from Iraqi market. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Radon exposure is the second leading cause of lung cancer, following tobacco smoke. Radon is not only an independent risk factor; it also increases the risk of lung cancer in smokers. It has been observed that tobacco smoking increases the risks of radon-induced lung cancer. Radon and cigarette smoking have synergistic, multiplicative effect on lung cancer rates. People who inhale tobacco smoke are exposed to higher concentrations of radioactivity. Ever since studies on the relation of smoking to cancer, particularly the lung cancer has been established, there had been a great interest in studies concerned with the monitoring of the alpha radioactivity in tobacco. The results showed that the 222Rn concentrations in cigarette tobacco samples ranged from (156.450 to 403.087) Bq/m3 with an average 284.751 Bq/m3, while the radon induced lung cancer risks was found to vary from 71.047 to 183.049 with an av¬erage value of 129.3107 per million person, and standard deviation 83.529 and 37.932, respectively. Excellent correlation has been observed between radon concentration and lung cancer cases per year per million person for different brand tobacco cigarettes.

A review of the contribution of nutrition in management and control of Malaria was conducted. Nutrition has been confirmed as one factors that can be used to suppress the effect of malaria infection before clinical treatment is received by the patient. For the body to function normally, its nutritional demand must be met in the right proportions. Diet rich in vitamins, minerals, micronutrients are required for the metabolic functioning of the body, hence effective or adequate nutrition has health benefits to the human body. Living on quality diet has a way of improving the body defense mechanism against infectious diseases such as malaria.

Current work presents the results of the radioactive gas radon in samples of drinking water in the schools of AL-Kifel in Babylon Governorate Was chosen as the water from 16 schools by using the electronic radon detector RAD H2O, where the highest value (1.15) Bq•L-1 and the lowest value (0.0362) Bq•L-1 and effective dose for, human exposure to radon rate from (0.158556) mSv•y-1 to (5.037) mSv•y-1. At last may be concluded, the results of radon concentrations and annual effective dose in all samples show no significant radiological risk for the inhabitants in the reign study.

The aim of this paper is to show consequences and reasons of crime and violent acts in the United States, which have risen rapidly in the twentieth century. Not only has the crime rate increased sharply, but the character of criminal acts committed has also changed. Therefore, crimes have transformed into more vicious, hurtful and purposeless. The main questions that are to be asked in this paper are about the stimulus of violent acts and the most effective ways of preventing crime.

The Partial Stopping Power Effective Charge (PSPEC) ζ(q), the mean excitation energy I(eV), have been determined in target DNA and H2O in the present work we use the Drude-dielectric formalism to calculate the effects of contribution of inner and outer-electron shell to energy-loss of protons in two targets of high biological interest, namely, H2O and DNA. For a better control and understanding of the effects of radiation damage in living tissues, it is necessary to advance an accurate description of the energy loss from the ion beam to the target. The results show that the charged particles (protons) with energy between 0.05 MeV to 2.5 MeV are very efficient in producing secondary electrons in dry DNA, which are able to produce strand breaks and could be very effective for the biological damage of malignant cells. An effort to study the interaction of energetic ion beams with liquid water H2O at intermediate energies has been carried out recently, since water represents over 80% of the content of the cells of soft tissues. Screening length effects has been taken in the consideration and good agreement is achieved with previous work using Isabel Abril [1] for numerical calculations in the program.

Opis:
Medical exposure for abdomen radiography is associated with higher doses compared to X-Rays of the chest and other extremities. The study aims to determine the mean entrance skin dose (ESD) for 104 adult patients between 20-89 years with 2 X-Ray units (A and B) in Aba, South-East Nigeria and to determine the ESD at the 75th percentile to estimate the local diagnostic reference levels (LDRLs). This study also determined the effective dose (E), the dose area product (DAP) and the relationship between absorbed dose (DT) and other parameters. This study will also compare its findings with relevant articles where necessary. The study used 2 functional floors mounted X-Ray units. A total of 208 annealed thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs) were used made of Lithium Fluoride, doped with Magnesium and Titanium (LiF: Mg, Ti). Two TLD chips were used per patient. The chips were positioned at the anterior and posterior end of the patient respectively for a given beam area for abdomen radiography. After exposure, a calibrated RadPro TLDcube 400 reader (Freiberg Instrument, Germany) was used to estimate individual patient doses. This was done by multiplying the TLD counts by a pre-determined calibration factor (CF). The mean/75th percentile ESD for facilities A and B was 2.92/4.12 and 3.01/3.67 mGy. The E for facilities A and B was 0.73 and 0.82 mSv respectively. There was a good relationship between the DT with ESD, exit dose (ED) and DAP for facility A, but no relationship was seen with other parameters. The mean ESD was lower compared to the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP 172) and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) reports respectively. The study proved useful and could serve as a reference point to initiate LDRLs within the South-East zone in Nigeria for abdomen radiography.
