Opis:
The pH dependence of adsorption reactions of cationic metals is due, in part, to the preferential adsorption of the hydrolyzed metal species, in comparison to the free metal ion (McBride, 1977; McLauren and Crawford, 1973; Davis and Leckie, 1978; Farrah and Pickering, 1976a,b; James and Healy, 1972; McBride, 1982; Cavallaro and McBride, 1980; Harter, 1983). The pH of the soil system is a very important parameter that directly influences sorption/desorption, precipitation/ dissolution, complex formation, and oxidation-reduction reactions. In general, maximum retention of cationic metals occurs at pH>7 and maximum retention of anionic metals occurs at pH<7. However, because of the complexity of the soil-waste system, with its myriad of surface types and solution composition, such a generalization may not hold true. For example, cationic metal mobility has been observed to increase with increasing pH due to the formation of metal complexes with dissolved organic matter.

Opis:
This study investigated the effect of storage on certain sachet water quality indicators over a twelve-week period. Three brands of sachet water were collected within 24 h of production and analyzed for pH, nitrate, phosphate and dissolved oxygen. These were then placed in normal storage. According to out results, pH values increased significantly in all brands after week 8. Moreover, nitrate and dissolved oxygen values decreased throughout the investigation period, while phosphate values increased in all brands tested. All tested brands showed various degree of variation over the period of study. Still, all brands analyzed were within permissible limit by World Health Organization (WHO) stipulations. However, continuous storage can significantly alter the chemical quality indicators to a level that exceeds the limit set by WHO; hence, becoming harmful to human health. Therefore, it is recommended that sachet water should not be stored for more than 12 weeks from the date of production.

The progress of civilization as well as the growing up process of transformative environment adversely affect individual environmental elements in the soil. In recent years the increasing pollution of the atmosphere causes more and more interest in the science of the substances contained in it and merge back to the surface of the Earth. Of great importance for the environment have the substances contained in the water drainage, as in the form of dissolved very easily reach the individual environmental elements causing their contamination. Strong acidification most soils in Poland is the main cause of weak download main nutrients in soils, and low yields. Part of important plant micronutrients: iron, copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt/an acidic soils are more available In soils acidic phosphorus being introduced in mineral fertilisers is associated with aluminum and iron, in forms not available for plants. The low pH of the soil inhibits the oxidation of ammonium nitrogen (NH4 +) to nitrate (NO3 -), and at the same time, poorly developed root system is not able to efficiently downloadion nitrate from the soil. The result is outside the range of the washing of nitrate nitro gen contamination of groundwater and is followed by the root system. The purpose of the work was to determine the pH of precipitation and atmospheric.

In this paper, the effect of pH on nanoparticles (AgNPs) using plants extracting has been investigated. The aqueous sol of AgNPs prepared at different pH values using hydrothermal method display different Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) behavior and the maximum absorption values were at pH = 14. AgNPs were characterized using X-Ray diffraction, UV-Vis spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope. Face-center cubic Ag nanoparticles with crystal size about 3.86 nm have been noticed. The absorption band showed that Ag has sharp curves in the ultraviolet and at the edge of the visible region. The SEM images showed cluster shaped nanoparticles, and when increasing the pH values, the result revealed the formation of larger nanoparticles cluster with more accurate crystallite sizes. The antimicrobial and antifungal activity was performed by Agar well diffusion assay against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Candida albicans. The diameter of the inhibition zones of Ag NPs against the bacterial strains such as, Bacillus subtilis (31 mm) and Escherichia coli (30 mm) at 200 µg/ml concentration and the diameter of the inhibition zones of Ag NPs against the fungus strains such as, Candida albicans (36 mm) at the same concentration.

Opis:

Opis:
Masy te najczęściej zalegają latem i jesienią. Rzadziej napływa powietrze polarnokontynentalne z Europy Wschodniej i z Azji.
The progress of civilization and also growing up processes the transformative environment adversely affect the individual elements of the natural environment. These processes they realize that individual elements of environmental protection becomes the basis for the further development of socio-economic background. Research was carried out in the years 2008-2011 (January-December) In the town of Szczecin. In the tests was measured the amount of precipitation, chemical composition (NH4 +, NO3 -, PO4 3-- ions were numbered), pH and conductivity. Szczecin is situated in North-Western Poland, in the western part of the province. West at the Polish-German border. The town lies on the river Oder and the Lake Dabie, covering part of the inter-Odra. Szczecin is located on the city's Lower Oder Valley four geographical: Szczecin, Beech Hill, Elevation and Plain Goleniowska-they are part of port of Szczecin. The most affecting the North Atlantic air mass polarnomorskiego from the high humidity, which affects the increase in cloud cover and in the summer the amount of precipitation; in Winter involves a warming and a large and. These weight most outstanding summer and autumn. The presence of this air is observed most commonly in winter and spring. Is it a little water vapour content. Much less likely to flood the air Arctic-weather very variable, it brings with it major changes In temperature and spring frosts. Least likely has the presence of air, which brings periods of rapid warming marshes, appearing sometimes in winter and occasionally in the summer.
