If one of the skolem difference mean labeling of G satisfies the condition that all the labels of the vertices are odd, then we call this skolem difference mean labeling an extra skolem difference mean labeling and call the graph G an extra skolem difference mean graph. In this paper, extra skolem difference mean labeling of some graphs are studied.

We extend results of Campbell, Meyer, Jr. and Rose of applications of the Drazine inverse to linear systems of differential equations with singular constant coefficients to solutions of linear systems of difference equations A x_(n+1)+B x_n= f_n ,n≥0 when A and B are m×m complex matrices and may both singular, under conditions that rank(A)=1 and trace of A is not equal zero. f_n is an arbitrary function in C^m, and x_n∈C^m. We give a new closed form for all solutions of those systems when they are tractable, using the theory of the Drazin inverse, and a matrix K∈C^(m×m).

Explicit solutions of the last one are derived for several cases. One such is, when the matrix (λA+B) is one-to-one, another case is when such matrix is onto, for a scalar λ∈C. Also, explicit solutions are derived for the case that A is onto, and for the case that B is onto.

Opis:
Although mental rotation ability has been researched broadly in cognitive psychology and neural studies, development of mental rotation and the effective method of training are rarely considered as an area of study in the education field. We aimed to study the development of mental rotation through the training program by three-dimensional twisty puzzle in two groups of school students (8-9-years, n=13 and 11-12-years, n=17). This quasi-experimental study with the pre-test post-test design was conducted at the Tehran international school girls. The students' mental rotation ability was evaluated using the well established testing methods (VMRT; Vandenberg & Kuse, 1978). After the initial test and training program (twelve 60-minute sessions), the results of the within-subject ANOVA indicated that 8-9-years school children were incompetent after post-test through follow-up session, whereas the 11-12-years school students did make gain in post-test and three months after training program. The study findings suggest that development of MR ability by three-dimensional puzzles can be wielded throughout extra school training program among primary school students.

Opis:
Emotions in humans are subjective conscious experience characterized by psycho-physiological expressions and behavioral reactions. It may act as tool, if positively identified by complementing and enriching job performance but if negatively understood can ruin feelings and be a disaster. Emotions in healthcare organizations are important to be taken care of because in the service exchange process emotions of both the service provider and the receiver are directly involved. Although caring and curing patient by these employees is a professional activity but still, the empathetic and sympathetic behavior shown by these professionals influences their performance and success in hospital industry. Moreover, the behavior shown by these employees in the workplace is often discriminated on the basis of their gender as it influences the performance of health professionals. Based on above backdrop, the objective of the current study is to assess whether there exist difference in emotional intelligence of healthcare employees in hospitals with respect to their gender. A standardized questionnaire was used to conduct the study among 300 employees in hospitals with the help of scale developed by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar (2002). Data was analyzed through SPSS and results indicated that the level of emotional intelligence among females is higher than male employees.

Opis:
Before blood constituents data can be applied as a diagnostic tool, general patterns related to sex, season and collection of fish and location need to be well documented and understood. The sex of the fish may also influence the blood parameters. In turn, the values of the different blood biochemical parameters significantly influence the physiological factors and sex of the fish. Hence, there is a need to assess before reporting the biochemical indices of the fish species. The present study was undertaken to know the difference between male and female blood biochemical parameters of the fish, Notopterus notopterus. The blood biochemical measurements included glucose, protein, total cholesterol, HDL and LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, creatinine, enzymes-SGPT, SGOT and alkaline phosphatase. Furthermore, the electrolytes - sodium, potassium, calcium and phosphorous were compared with regard to sex. Moreover, the effect of sex on quantitative changes in fish blood was studied. The blood parameters between the sexes indicated that male fishes consistently had higher level of all biochemical parameters than did the female fishes, and this study may be a proposal as means of sexing fish. This indicates that the male fish is biochemically and nutritionally richer than the female; in female fish this effect may come about because much of the metabolites and nutrients are continuously being exhausted in the development of gonads (ovary). The results of this study could be used for monitoring the health and the physiological condition of the fish, Notopterus notopterus in a particular aquatic body.

To investigate optical properties of Si photonic crystal waveguides, a mathematical model was set up. Finite difference time domain method was used to calculate the Maxwell’s equations numerically. For the evolution of the electromagnetic fields in the photonic crystals, simulations were done for a small lattices using Yee lattice approach. The properties of a waveguide and a power divider were investigated for 3λx 3λ photonic crystal formed from Si circular rods in air for telecommunication wavelength 1.55 μm. The model developed was satisfactory in predicting the behaviour of light in linear photonic crystals.

Opis:
This study is the regional mapping of Land Surface temperature (LST), Land Surface Emissivity (LSE) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) of south-south coastal settlements of Rivers State in Nigeria. The Google Earth Engine (GEE) of satellite remote sensing origin was used in the study. It was observed that land surface area of the south-south coastal settlements of the region hosting a total population of 3,344,706 persons had undergone severe modification and alteration of vegetal cover by increased human activities especially in the central area. Emissivity in the region increased from the center to the rural settlements with values ranging 0.98 to 0.99 and difference of 0.01 indicating that there was increased modification of the regional land surface. Land surface temperature decreased from the regional center to the rural settlements ranging between 22.12 ºC to 35.99 ºC with a difference of 13.87 ºC. However, LST was scattered in different settlement spots especially in the northern region such as Aleto, Finema (south); Rumuolu, Odogwa, Abara, Umuechem, Rumuola, Ambroda (north) among others. The normalized vegetation index showed -0.54358 to 0.409327 having the difference of 0.952907 indicating greater variation in vegetal cover across the region. Thus, NDVI in the region increased from the regional center to the outskirts of the area. Urbanization in the south-south region of Rivers State had extended severely to the rural settlements. Therefore, it is recommended that policy makers and regional planners should protect the area from adverse vegetal lost and heat effects by implementing regional greening practices.

In this study, finite difference method is used for the numerical analysis of the transient heat transfer analysis of a convective-radiative fin with functionally graded materials under the influence of Lorentz force is presented. Three cases of developed nonlinear thermal models of linear, quadratic, exponential and power-law variations of thermal conductivity are considered. The accuracy of the developed numerical code is verified as the results of the numerical solutions established good agreements with the results of the exact analytical solutions. Through the numerical solutions, parametric studies are carried out. From the results, it is shown that increase in radiative and magnetic field parameters as well as in-homogeneity index improve the thermal performance of the fin. Also, the transient responses reveal that the FGM fin with linear-law and power-law function shows the slowest and fastest thermal responses, respectively. This study will provide a very good platform for further studies on the design of extended surfaces where the surrounding fluid is influenced by a magnetic field.

The aim of present work is the development of a quasi-steady state model for the time course concentration profile describing the oxygen diffusion and consumption in a multilayered corneal tissue and investigation of the effect of various model parameters on the oxygen concentration for open and closed eyes. A simple mathematical model for the oxygen transport in multilayered corneal tissue was developed using Fick’s law of diffusion, Michaelis-Menten kinetics of metabolism. A Crank-Nicolson finite difference scheme of the equation describing the oxygen diffusion and consumption was written, in which spatial diffusive terms of the equation were approximated by central differences while the temporal terms were approximated by average of forward and backward time differences. A system of linear equations obtained from the Crank-Nicholson finite differences schemes was solved by the Thomas Algorithm in which successive improve approximate results are obtained.
