Opis:
This paper explores the capacitance and resistance modeling of 3-D (dimensional) SOI FinFET structure and circuit implementation approach is done for the utility of SOI FinFET structure. The scaling of the FinFET structure is continuously ongoing and increased parasitic and resistance affects the circuit level performance of SOI FinFET in ICs (Integrated Circuits) below 20 nm technology node. A geometrical-based analysis is done to get the optimized parasitic capacitance and resistance model and validity of the model is verified by three-dimensional (3-D) field solver Synopsys Raphael software. For utility of the developed model, some circuit implementation is done in h-spice simulation environment.

After positive response from all stakeholders in pilot phase, the program was extended to all 75 districts as full phase for two consecutive years. The program covered 9893 youth farmers throughout the country. Out of them 23% were female while 77% were male farmers. A survey was conducted in three districts namely Sunsari, Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha with a sample of 60 youth farmers. Majority of participants (50 percent) were either returned from abroad or in process of going aboard and 96.70 percent were not interested to go abroad for employment after participation in program. The study showed that per ropani income from winter vegetable was high as compared to income from spring and rainy season vegetables. Majority of participants, 95.0%, were continuing their vegetable farming while 5% were found to discontinue their farming business after participating in youth focused vegetable production programme. Selling of products in hat bazaar by farmers themselves was the most commonly preferred system of selling comprising 63.3% of respondents. Other practices were selling to the local traders, selling from collection centers and selling via agents.

Opis:
The reactions of gallic acid and quercetin with the excited state Ru(II) complexes proceed through photoinduced electron transfer reaction in sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and aqueous media at pH 11 and has been studied by luminescence quenching technique. The static nature of quenching is confirmed from the ground state absorption studies in both the media. The observed quenching rate constant (kq) values are sensitive to the nature of the ligand, medium and the structure of the quenchers. The electrostatic interaction of the cationic complexes with the anionic micelle reduces the kq values in SDS compared to that in aqueous medium.

Opis:
Nowadays coming out of bacterial resistance poses a significant clinical problem. Hence, the aim of this study was to explain the current susceptibility patterns of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).As well as to find out antimicrobial characteristics in the different organic solvents with increasing polarity viz., hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol extracts of Padina tetrastromatica, Padina gymnospora marine macro algae belonging to the family Phaeophyta were studied. Their crude extracts were tested against Staphylococcus aureus (MTCC 737 & 7443), and three clinical isolates of MRSA were tested and has been shown to exhibit antibacterial activity against methicillin methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentrations (MBC) were determined. The ethyl acetate extracts of the seaweeds showed the presence of Photochemical, terpenoids, tannins, phenolic compounds and steroids strongly than the other solvent extracts. The highest activity was recorded in the ethyl acetate extract of Padina tetrastromatica than the other extract tested. The mean zone of inhibition produced by the extracts in disc diffusion assays against the tested bacterial strains ranged from 7.1 to 26.5 mm. The lowest MIC (62.5 µg/ml) and MBC (125 µg/ml) values were observed in the ethyl acetate extract of P. tetrastromatica against S. aureus (737 & 7443), MRSA1 and MRSA3. Further separation of active principle from the potential seaweed extract as a source of antibacterial compound useful for the control of Methicillin resistant S. aureus is under progress.

Opis:
Green synthesis of Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) is a novel and non-toxic method as compared to the hazardous conventional physical and chemical methods. Herein, we report production of ZnO-NPs for the first time using whole vegetative parts of Sesamum indicum L. The aqueous extracts of various parts of S. indicum were used to synthesize nanoparticles in this study. The synthesized nanoparticles were evaluated using UV-visible spectroscopy for confirmation and characterization. The maximum UV-visible spectral absorption peaks were observed from 293 to 296 nm wavelengths. Leaf and stem reaction mixtures exhibited the sharpest absorption peaks of all the variations at 293 nm and root at 296 nm. This study leads to the development of cost-effective ZnO-NPs synthesis with possible further exploration to serve mankind.
