Opis:
Plants have been an important source of medicine for thousands of years. Medicinal plants are the most important source of life saving drugs. Even today, the WHO estimates that up to 80 per cent of people still rely mainly on traditional remedies such as herbs for their medicines. Medicinal plants are resources of new drugs. Approximately one quarter of prescribed drugs contain plant extracts or active ingredients obtained from plant substances. Medicinal plants are the most important source of life saving drugs for the majority of the world’s population. The biotechnological tools are important to select, multiply and conserve the critical genotypes of medicinal plants. In-vitro regeneration holds tremendous potential for the production of high-quality plant-based medicine. An efficient protocol was developed for high frequency and rapid regeneration was achieved in Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal. Invitro cultures were initiated by meristematic explants on M.S–B5 medium with various growth hormones individually as well as combinations. Highest shoot multiplication rates were observed when explants grown in the medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/l of BAP. M.S–B5 medium fortified with 1.0 mg/l BAP was found suitable for optimum growth and elongation of shoots. The best rooting response were observed when the medium containing 1.0 mg/l of IBA. The rooted plantlets were successfully established in soil.

Here, we report the unusual behavior shown by the PbS samples prepared using a multilayer deposition approach by chemical solution deposition method. Thin samples were prepared by depositing several films at different deposition conditions on glass substrates. X-ray diffraction showed that final multilayer samples showed a peculiar variation. Even when they showed well defined structure the intensities of the peaks do not correspond to those of the initial films.

The analgesic activity was determined by acetic acid induced writhing and tail immersion methods. All such data were compared with standard drugs at the dose of 10 mg/kg (p.o. The anti-inflammatory activity of the test compounds was determined by the carragenan induced mice paw edema inhibition method.). Analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of the test compounds at 10 mg/kg (p.o.) were quite comparable to those of standard drugs at 10 mg/kg (p.o.). All these compounds can be considered as potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents.

Opis:
Support for Mach’s principle of the Prominence or the Immanence of the Universe which states that the behavior of any part of the Cosmos is determined by all of its parts requires quantitative convergence from the appropriate combination of universal parameters. Applications of recent calculations based upon a diffusivity with a real value (~1023 m•s-1) revealed solutions that are consistent with the concept of dragging inertial frames and geodetic (Lense-Thirring) precession. The latency for non-local entanglement around the earth is similar to frame dragging as measured by Ciufolini. The independent solution for this real value to capture Mach’s “whole universe” requires the contribution from quantum-level Zero Point Fluctuations. Consideration of this value for solar-terrestrial distances could explain the non-local “gravitational” effects upon biological reactions that appear to precede electromagnetic effects. The verification of the “entanglement latency” by independent methods could produce the validation for Mach’s principle.

Opis:
A systematic arrangement has been gotten for the transient issue of three-dimensional multilayer heat conduction in a circle with layers in the spiral course. The arrangement strategy can be connected to an empty circle or a strong circle made out of a few layers of different materials. By and large, the partition of factors connected to 3D round directions has interesting attributes because of the nearness of related Legendre works as the eigenfunctions. Additionally, an eigenvalue issues the azimuthal way likewise requires arrangement; once more, its properties are one of a kind inferable from periodicity the azimuthal way. In this way, broadening existing arrangements in 2D round directions to 3D circular directions isn't clear. In a round facilitate framework, one can explain a 3D transient multilayer heat conduction issue without the nearness of fanciful eigenvalues. A 2D tube shaped polar facilitate framework is the main other case in which such multidimensional issues can be tackled without the utilization of nonexistent eigenvalues. The nonappearance of nonexistent eigenvalues renders the arrangement philosophy fundamentally increasingly valuable for pragmatic applications. The strategy portrayed can be utilized for all the three kinds of limit conditions in the external and inward surfaces of the circle. The arrangement method is shown on an illustrative issue for which results are gotten.

Forest fires are a major threat to the existence of forests these days due to climate change and global warming scenario. The present study utilizes geospatial techniques to analyze the incidences of forest fires events from the year 2005 to 2016 in the Jharkhand state of India. Forest fire hotspot areas within the state were identified. The analysis of the datasets reveals that approximately 89% of the forest fires occur in the month of March and April. From 1st March to 10th March the fire starts in North East part of Jharkhand forest because of high wind speed and it continues till the end of March. Later, it intensifies to the south of Jharkhand in Paschim (west) Singhbhum district from 11th to 20th March. From 21st to 31st March the forest fire starts in North West part of Jharkhand in Palamu district which it continues along with Paschim (west) Singhbhum district till the end of April. Three major locations were identified in Jharkhand forest as forest fire hotspot. Statistical analysis (Cramer’s V coefficient) was performed to test the scale / magnitude of association of forest fire with driving factor (meteorological parameters). The range of CVC value varied between 0.74 to 0.32 whereas rainfall retain the highest value 0.74 means it is one of the strongest driving factor among all other environmental parameter contribute to forest fire events. The study of forest fire event analysis, its correlation of trend and its interrelationship with environmental/meteorological parameters gives better comprehension for forest fire events thus helps in mitigation, control and prevention to safeguard our precious forest and the environment.

The paper presents a study regarding the kinetic of chemical bath deposition (CBD) PbS nano films. Nano films were deposited from chemical bath containing thiourea, lead nitrite, and ammonia. The deposition kinematics and optical investigations have been performed to compare the properties of the films grown with different precursor solutions. We are able to determine the growth rate as a function of the synthesis conditions and it was found that the growth rate of deposited nano layer affected significantly by synthesis conditions. The main characteristic of nano films is the band gap. This parameter determined from spectroscopy Measurements of transmission, in the energy range of 240-840 nm is influenced by many factors such as deposition time, bath temperature, pH value of the path and molar concentration of the reactants.

Due to the disadvantages of physiochemical methods for sulfidic spent caustic treatment, attentions are drawn to the environmental-friendly biotreatments including sulfur-oxidizing haloalkaliphiles. Thioalkalivibrio versutus DSM 13738 was grown at alkaline (pH10) autotrophic medium with sodium carbonate/bicarbonate as the sole source of carbon and amended with sodium thiosulfate as the electron and energy source. The effect of various parameters including temperature (25-40 °C), pH (8-11), NaCl concentration (0.5-5 % w/v) and sodium thiosulfate concentrations (100-750 mM) was evaluated on bacterial growth and thiosulfate removal. This strain could eliminate sodium thiosulfate at very high concentrations up to 750 mM. The results showed that the highest specific growth rate was pH 9.5 and thiosulfate removal of Thioalkalivibrio versutus occurred at pH 10.5. The optimum salt concentration for thiosulfate removal was 2.5 % w/v and 5 % NaCl and specific growth rate elevated 2.5% w/v. It was also specified that this strain thrives occurred in 37 ºC and at 35 and 37 ºC higher removal of thiosulfate. Following chemical oxidation of sulfide to thiosulfate, application of Thioalkalivibrio versutus could be promising for spent caustic treatment. Since thiosulfate is utilized as an energy source, highest removal efficiency occurred at marginally different conditions compared to optimal growth.

For the simulations multiple cycle m-n-m pulses generating Gaussian beams were used as sinusoidal hard line sources. The simulations for acoustic cylindrical cloaking by a reduced parameter model and a higher order parameter model are also presented. The cloaking behaviour is largely dependent upon the transformation and not on the thickness of the cloak. The radial dependent model and the higher order transformation model are suited for acoustic cloaking.

The current study was aimed to find out the heavy metal concentration of groundwater in the Veppanthattai block. Here, 45 water samples from different sites were collected during the year 2015 at post monsoon, and Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb and Zn heavy metal content was analyzed using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS), The obtained results were then compared with the WHO standard for the specific highest pollution level. Accordingly, some or all water samples are above the permissible limit, particularly for Cd metal (all samples). The elevated concentration of cadmium in water samples of the study area may be due to agricultural runoff, as pesticides and cadmium-containing fertilizer have been used. The study showed that without proper treatment, the groundwater of the study area is not suitable for domestic applications.
