Opis:
The solar flares are generated from electromagnetic radiation which is sudden oscillation of the stored energy in the magnetic field of the sun. Flares are categorized according to their brightness as C, M and X, where X is the brightest. The X class flares caused a long-time solar storm and ionospheric radio waves sparkling. The moderate level M class flares mostly effect polar cups and cause short-time radio sparkling. However, the C class flares are weaker than the X and M flares. In this work, we present an active region from the disturbance of magnetic field on the area of the Sun and may lead to powerful event if the magnetic field become stronger. The CALLISTO system network that has been installed in Gauri, India observed data that contain Solar Radio Burst Type II (SRBT II) occurred on 22nd December 2009 at 04:57 UT to 05:02 UT. Five active regions were obtained from online data via internet from the Space Weather website and the Solar Monitor website. All data and information from these sources assist in analyze of the phenomena. The magnetic field and X-ray flux, proton density increase the possibilities that SRBT II observed by CALLISTO network to generate powerful solar flare. When X-ray flux level was at maximum, then solar flare was at peak point. However, solar activity level was low because among of five active regions present, only one C-class flare event occurred. The most active region that contributes this event is an AR11036 with C-class flare.

A detailed investigation of an inverted type U solar burst in meter region and their associated the solar flare and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) has been reported. Solar type U burst has been observed at the National Space Centre, Banting, Selangor detected by the Compound Low Cost Low Frequency Transportable Observatories (CALLISTO) system in the 150 MHz till 400 MHz at the low frequency band. An inverted U type is occurring on 9th March 2012 between 4:00 UT to 4:15 UT within 1 minute (4:12 − 4:13) UT. From the dynamic spectra of CALLISTO, we have identified metric type U burst with maximum emission near the frequency 385MHz. In specific, the continuum type III burst will soon structure this burst due to our observations. Other types such as type II and IV are only appearing only after type U burst is ejected and appear at the same point of the solar flare event. Since the U burst activity coincides with the peak of the hard X-ray flare at 4:12UT in AR1429, we classified that the event is associated with the injection of the high energetic particles. In conclusion, it is confirmed that an inverted type U burst is initiated after a complex and a group solar radio burst type III.

Regional Floras viz., Flora of China and Flora of Bhutan merged S. dilatata under S. paniculata due to overlapping exomorphological characters, which in turn followed in regional herbaria in India, Bhutan and China. Recent taxonomists are also accepting S. dilatata as a synonym under S. paniculata. This work authenticates C. B. Clarke’s species, S. dilatata as a separate valid species, should not merge with Wallichian species, S. paniculata based on field cum herbarium-based exomorphological studies.

This work proposes an explanation for a blood anomaly found in the Turin Shroud (TS). Unlike common human blood which contains significant levels of nitrogen (weight percentages of the order of 10%), TS blood shows levels of nitrogen which are lower than the background noise produced by the measuring instrument (about 1%). It is not easy to find an explanation for this result, but if we refer to the hypothesis formulated by T.J. Phillips who first proposed that neutron radiation had acted on the TS and therefore on the blood analyzed, it is possible to qualitatively understand what may have altered the observed nitrogen levels. The hypothesis of T.J. Phillips proposes that neutrons would have irradiated the TS, changing some of the nitrogen nuclei to different isotopes. In particular, it would have caused nitrogen atoms to be transformed into 14C and so the results of the radiocarbon dating of the TS performed in 1988 would have to be corrected to allow for the corresponding systematic effect hypothesized in that paper.

As there is no cost for manufacturing the only factor that can maximize the profit is the product transportation cost. Determination of the optimum & reliable transportation medium was the first challenge. A suitable destination for distributing the products in the selected location has been chosen carefully on the basis of demand & minimum rent of warehouse. First, the mathematical model has been formed & then it has been solved by a program written in ‘C’ programming language. The program can show the result of the optimum amount of supply with the corresponding destination together in a single output. Verification of the program or ‘code’ has been done with the help of hand calculation. The company can determine the supply unit with destination to minimize the transportation cost before every shifting of products from warehouse to the destination.

Buxa Tiger Reserve (BTR) is located in Alipurduar Sub Division of West Bengal, India. It comprises of the entire forest area of the erstwhile Buxa Forest Division (Created in 1877 – 78) and some territory of the erstwhile neighboring Cooch Behar Forest Division. The Reserve lies between Latitudes 23o30′ N to 23o50′ N and Longitudes 89o25′ E to 89o55′ E. The total area of the reserve is 760.87 km2 of which 385.02 km2 has been constituted as the Buxa Sanctuary and National Park (Core zone of the BTR) and the balance 375.85 km2 areas is treated as a buffer zone. It has 37 forest villages and 4 fixed demand holdings, 46 revenue villages and 34 tea gardens in and around it. The survey work was done in May, 2015 by visiting a forest edge village, 28 Mile, in Buxa Tiger Reserve and the primary data were gathered through field survey and direct contact with common people and authorized centres of the region. Surveys on the demography, agriculture, livestock management, water management, education, culture, health, waste management, disaster management, transport, biodiversity, joint forest management activities, Non-timber forest product usage and human animal conflict were done in this area. In every phase of the survey work, photographic documentation was done. In spite of being positioned in a diverse and sensitive ecological zone, the village is not adequately managed. There is an urgent need for implementing sustainable management systems in the areas for the betterment of the socio-environmental structures. Some of the possible management strategies have been suggested for maintaining the social, environmental, economic and ecological balance of the region.

Opis:
Assessment of temporal variation of the water quality is an essential aspect of evaluating temporary changes in a water body caused by natural or artificial contributions. The study aims to assess the water quality temporal variation and the water quality index over the year from 2010 to 2019. Water sampling was carried out near the bridge of the Kotte canal. Water quality parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity (EC), temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were determined to assess the quality of water at different periods. It has been calculated based on the standard of the central environmental authority of Sri Lanka. The weighted arithmetic index method has been used to calculate the water quality index. The water quality index of the study area was recorded as good (33.60760) in 2010 and poor in 2013 (56.95663), 2016 (52.37269), and 2019 (69.04417). The study revealed that the water temperature in the canal fluctuates with the time and climate of the area. The EC of the water is registered within the reference range. However, pH, COD, DO, and ammonia are the main water parameters deviating from the reference range. It is observed that the leading causes of the deterioration of water quality are human activities, the illegal discharge of sewage and industrial wastewater, the lack of adequate sanitation facilities, and urban runoff.

In this article, we have analysed the MHD third grade fluid flow induced by a peristaltic wave. The flow is analysed using the lubrication approximations. The reduced equations are solved by Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM) and the expressions for stream function, velocity, pressure gradient and frictional force are obtained. The effect of pertinent parameters such as Brinkmann number, magnetic field, Deborah number and phase difference are analysed and illustrated graphically. The results shown that the rate of conduction of heat enhances by supplying heat to the channel. Also it is noticed that by increasing magnetic field the Lorentz forces reduces the velocity. This study finds application in various practical devices like electric power generators, heaters and conductors.

Opis:
Man’s activities on the environment often results in pollution and degradation of water bodies. Water bodies must therefore be jealously guided and protected from being polluted, which will affect water quality and availability for desired usage. Causes of water quality impairment are urban and rural storm water runoff, inadequate waste water treatment, nutrient entrophication, atmospheric deposition and acid rain, pollutant in sediments and fish, and nuisance aquatic weed growth and invasive species. Other factors include unhygienic disposal and inadequate treatment of human and livestock wastes, indecent management and treatment of industrial residues, inappropriate agricultural practices and unsafe solid waste discharge. Suggested strategies to combat water quality problems which should form the basis of policy solution for improving water quality include: (i) prevention of pollution; (ii) treatment of polluted water; (iii) safe use of waste water; and (iv) restoration and protection of ecosystem. It is recommended that our water bodies and the environment in general should be protected through appropriate legislation guidelines and public literacy campaign and mass education to sensitize, educate and make the people a fully environmentally literate society. Taking these steps internationally, nationally and locally will mean better water quality for our present society and future generation.

The complex nature of flow dynamic of water at the subsurface makes it difficult to characterize directly the processes taking place in a porous medium. As a result, carrying out studies on the characteristics of contaminants at the subsurface often relies on indirect measurements of the parameters of the system. To overcome these difficulties and provide information on the subsurface, the continuous use of tracers in simulation studies to model hydrological characteristics at the subsurface has provided an important tool for understanding the flow and mixing dynamics of water resource systems. Results obtained from this radial flow tracer test shows coefficient of longitudinal and transverse dispersion of 2.104×10-3 m2s-1 and 1.54×10-3 m2s-1 respectively, longitudinal and transverse dispersivity of 1.73m and 1.27m respectively. Multidimensional transport in an aquifer involves both longitudinal and transverse dispersion in addition to advection process. Transverse dispersion in an aquifer spreads dissolved contaminant by molecular diffusion when flow velocity of groundwater is highly low. Initial concentration of dissolved contaminants at the point of release can produce an upstream spreading in a longitudinal transverse direction by molecular dispersion which is a diffusion-like process in an aquifer. Results obtained from tracer test can be used to characterize a site and for groundwater monitoring. Having basic knowledge of some physical processes taking place at the subsurface such as that produced from tracer test can also help in the design of environmental network to evaluate possible accidental migration of contaminants once it occur in aquifers and plan suitable mitigation actions to safeguard our water resource.

The temperature or Antenna Noise Temperature depends on its gain pattern and the thermal environment that it is placed in. We need to design an antenna that can detect the data and monitor the solar burst type III in radio region. It must be sensitive to a broad frequency range and angular distribution of the incident radio pulse and capable to handle the noise issue that is necessary to gain the pure signal. With large instantaneous bandwidths and high spectral resolutions, these instruments will provide increased imaging sensitivity and enable detailed measurements of the dynamic solar burst. For standardized the time, GPS clock is used to control the sampling time of the spectrometer and a tracking controller control the antenna direction. In conclusion, LPDA is the most practical antennas provide general broadband transmission and reception in a wide range of frequency.

A preliminary correlation study of the solar burst type III with a type Iv solar burst of has been made. On the basis of this study and in combination with the observation in radio emission, an interpretation of the mechanism of the occurrence of this event has been proposed. We have noted that an individual type III burst also can be observed at 13:54-13:58 UT from 500 MHz. Based on 3 days observation beginning from 31st March 2015, the solar activity is gradual increased. The highest solar flare can be observed is only a class of M8 flare. There was a CMEs event that directed to the Earth is detected. From the selected event, although theoretically solar radio burst type III is alternating with type IV solar burst. This huge explosion generated the M-class flare which can affect the Earth and satellites. The solar wind velocity recorded is 384.2 km/second while the density of protons is 3.6 protons/cm3. The total magnetic field during this event also quite big which is 4.6nT. The alternating of solar burst type III and IV would probably depends on the tendencies to form the CMEs event. The morphology of thermal and non-thermal flare plasma is of particular significance because it holds many important signatures of the energy release process.
