    W związku z szybkim zanikaniem wiejskiej kultury materialnej opisy językowe artefaktów stają się coraz trudniejsze. Istotnym elementem dopełniającym takie opisy staje się w tej sytuacji ikonografia. Ikonografia jest więc w słowniku gwarowym:1) dopełnieniem definicji;2) szansą weryfikacji definicji;3) pomocą w poprawnym ustawieniu ekspozycji etnograficznych;4) środkiem przedstawienia specyfiki etnograficznej w danym regionie;5) uzupełnieniem opisu etnologicznego;6) środkiem przedstawienia relacji między elementami składowymi artefaktu złożonego konstrukcyjnie.
    The rapid disappearance of rural material culture renders linguistic description of artifacts increasingly difficult. In this situation, iconography has become an important element complementing these descriptions. In a dialect dictionary, iconography1) complements the description;2) offers an opportunity to verify the definition;3) helps to correctly orient ethnographic exposition;4) acts as a vehicle for the presentation of the ethnographic specificity in a region;5) supplements the ethnological description;6) is a means of presenting the relations between the constituent parts of a structurally complex artifact.

    Przedmiotem rozważań są problemy metodologiczne związane z wartością naukową i poznawczą hasła słownikowego, rozpatrywane w aspekcie praktycznej użyteczności słowników gwarowych regionalnych i lokalnych oraz ich przydatności w dialogu pokoleń i promocji regionu. Istotą hasła słownikowego jest zarówno liczba i układ poszczególnych jego segmentów składowych, ich reprezentatywność i możliwość oddziaływania, jak i włączenie do słownika mapy i ilustracji, zarezerwowanych jeszcze do niedawna dla innych publikacji. Mapa i ilustracja powinny zostać wkomponowane w hasło, zgodnie z założeniem pozwalającym na pełne wykorzystanie informacji geograficznych, a jednocześnie na uchwycenie miejsca danego leksemu w strukturze gwarowej regionu z wszechstronną wizualizacją desygnatu.
    The issue under discussion concerns the methodological issues pertaining to the cognitive and scientific values of an entry in a dialect dictionary, viewed from the point of view of practical usefulness of dialectal, regional and local dictionaries and their practicality in a dialogue between generations and in the region’s promotion. The essence of the dictionary entry is the number and arrangement of its components, their representativeness and ability to exert influence; the dictionary contains also maps and illustrations, until recently reserved for other kinds of publications. In general, maps and illustrations should be part of an entry, providing geographic information, allowing at the same time to locate a lexeme in a region’s dialect structure and to arrive at its multifaceted visualisations. Keeping in mind its practicality, an entry should be provided with contextual information, using standardised and uniform spelling; it should also include the phonetic, morphological and syntactic peculiarities of a regional dialect. The qualifiers should point to the socially-determined status of a lexeme and form the basis for an entry’s interpretation in its chronological, social, cultural and civilisation-related dimensions.

    Pracovníci dialektologického oddělení Ústavu pro jazyk český Akademie věd České republiky se zabývají výzkumem tradičních teritoriálních dialektů v českém národním jazyce. Vypracovali šest svazků Českého jazykového atlasu (knižně vydáno v letech 1992–2011), dostupný je též v elektronické podobě. Čeští dialektologové zpracovávají Slovník nářečí českého jazyka a Slovník pomístních jmen na Moravě a ve Slezsku. Spolupracují na jednotlivých svazcích Evropského jazykového atlasu (Atlas linguarum Europae) a Slovanského jazykového atlasu (Общеcлавянский лингвистический атлас).
    The researchers from the Department of Dialectology of the Czech Language Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences have been involved in research into traditional territorial dialects within the Czech national language. They have compiled six volumes of the Czech Linguistic Atlas (published in 1992–2011) while its electronic version is being finalised. Czech dialectologists have been compiling the Dictionary of Czech Dialects and the Dictionary of Minor Place Names in Moravia and Silesia. They collaborate on the individual volumes of the Linguistic Atlas of Europe (Atlas linguarum Europae) and the Slavic Linguistic Atlas (Общеcлавянский лингвистический атлас).

    Фундаментальне видання Словник української мови XVI-І половини XVII ст. має унікальну джерельну базу – різножанрові пам’ятки української мови, що походять, за визначенням дослідників, з багатьох теренів, де функціонувала українська мова. Через те можна стверджувати, що цей історичний словник української мови є надійною підставою для розвитку української історичної діалектології. У статті запропоновано аналіз однієї з пам’яток релігійного жанру – Учительного Євангелія XVI ст., створеного на території Бойківщини, визначено основні диференційні риси, які збережені в давньому євангельському тексті і свідчать про його яскраву народну основу, зокрема бойківського (бойківсько-наддністрянського, бойківсько-емківського) мовного континууму. Проведено паралелі із записами мовлення з території Бойківщини, які зробила авторка цього дослідження упродовж 1990-х - 2000-х рокiв. На підставі авторських записів укладено Мокряни. Говірка маминого села. Словник (Львів, 2021), який можна кваліфікувати як «словник одного села», «жіночий словник», «словник однієї родин».
    The fundamental edition of «A Dictionary of the Ukrainian language in the 16th – first half of the 17th century» is based on numerous sources – monuments of the Ukrainian language from the 16th and 17th centuries. Different genres which, according to researchers, originated in many territories where the Ukrainian language was spoken. Arguably, this historical dictionary of the Ukrainian language is a reliable source of information about the development of Ukrainian historical dialectology. The article offers an analysis of one of the monuments of the religious genre: the Uchytelne Yevanheliye of the 16th century, created on the territory of the Boykos, the main differential features preserved in an ancient gospel text and testify to its folk orrigin, specifically the Boyko dialects. Parallels are drawn with dialect records from the territory of the Boykos, made by the author of this study in the 1990s-2000s, on the basis of which «Mokryany. Mother’s village dialect. Dictionary» (Lviv 2021) was compiled.It can be be refrred to as «a dictionary of one village», «a woman’s dictionary», «a dictionary of one family».

    In its structure and conception the ideographic dialectal dictionary of the Bulgarian language differs considerably from all interpretative dialectal dictionaries published so far. The words offered in it make it possible to present from another aspect a complete picture of the lexical wealth and the denotative resources of the Bulgarian dialects. The choice of different motivational features in the formation of derivatives created in the various dialects to denote the same entity is related to the ethnocultural specificity of the native speakers (or users) of Bulgarian. The completion and publication of the first volume (A–D) are preceded by the make-up of the vocabulary of the whole dictionary, which gives an idea of its structure and character. The collected material, which is yet to be structured into dictionary entries, is arranged according to the semantically corresponding literary designations presented alphabetically. While collecting and processing the material, an endeavour was made to encompass diachronically the whole territory of the Bulgarian language, making use not only of Bulgarian published sources. This is the first generalizing lexicographical work which includes data from all the dialects representing the lexical system both from the Bulgarian language region and from the Bulgarian diaspora. The ideographic dictionary will make it possible to use the collected and lexicographically processed material for academic purposes by making it accessible to Bulgarian and foreign linguists in studying the history of the Bulgarian language and the tendencies in its development. It will contribute as well to the scientific explanation of the peculiarities which not only connect but also differentiate the Bulgarian language from the other Slavic and Balkan languages.

    У статті актуалізоване одне з невідкладних завдань слов᾽янської лінгвістики початку XXI ст. – лексикографічне опрацювання діалектної мови. Представлено доробок українського діалектного словникарства за перші десятиліття XXI ст., акцентувано увагу на важливості діалектного тексту як джерела для укладання регіонального словника. Указано на переваги такого підґрунтя, специфіку представлення народної лексики, її паспортизації за говірками та ареалами поширення в досліджуваному континуумі. Запропонований підхід уможливлює докладний опис реалій, вирізнення їхніх особливостей, репрезентованих у диференціації назв, засвідчує в реєстрових словах специфіку наголошування, регулярні та спорадичні зміни голосних і приголосних звуків. У спонтанних текстах мовці більш повно й об᾽єктивно розкривають семантику лексем, доповнючи їхнє тлумачення новими значеннями в мікротекстах, що перетворює словник в гіпертекст, веде читача від одного реєстрового слова до іншого, містить етнокультурну інформацію, виявляючи своєрідне бачення реалій діалектоносієм.
    The article states that in early 21st century, Slavic linguistics lexicographic arrangement of the dialect appeared to preserve the original lexical stock shaped through a national outlook and mentality, as well as cultural values of the creative Ukrainian nation. The article is aimed to represent the dialect stock of the Ukrainian lexicography in the early 21st century, as well as to stress the importance of a dialect text as a source for arranging a regional dictionary. That has accentuated the dialect text proper as a source for arranging a regional dictionary that includes specially represented patois lexical units, their registration according to the dialects and their expansion in the area under consideration. The approach enables a detailed description of the status quo, its peculiar features represented in the differentiated names, as well as peculiar stressed forms, regular and sporadic shifts in vowels and consonants in the registered lexical units. In spontaneous speech, lexical meanings are more complete and more objectively revealed, being largely enforced by new meanings in microtexts. The authors have proved that arranging dictionaries by meaningful texts complete reveals the registered units, as well as regional and local ones in spontaneous speech in various word-building, phonetic and grammatical variants in the dialect aspect. Broad comments provided for the entries are taken from dialect texts and ensure progress to a next narrative fragment promoting a way to learning other linguistic units characteristic of dialects. The dictionary grows into a hypertext, leading the reader from one registered unit to another, providing ethnic linguistic information while revealing a specific status quo interpreted by dialect speakers.

    The article focuses on phrasemes with the component husa (goose); its aim is to show how the word husa is reflected in Czech dialects, and to describe the motivation of the selected idioms and their meaning. In Czech folk phraseology, the units with this zoo-appellative are among the more commonly represented. The material, coming from the Archive of Folk Language, is being gradually processed in the Dictionary of Czech Dialects.
