Opis:: Nowadays enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are worldwide a standard solution implemented in a great number of manufacturing companies worldwide. The implementation of an ERP system is performed to integrate business processes, allocate company’s resources efficiently and provide important data for decision support. Implementing an ERP system is expensive and time-consuming. Therefore a great number of research activities are focused on key success factors of ERP implementations. But what does a successful implementation of ERP system mean? If an ERP project was completed according to the schedule, the budget was not exceeded and the scope was realized, it means that the implementation was successful? Implementation of an ERP system is a long-term undertaking, and not only a short-term project that is finished just after the system installation. Especially for a project driven enterprise that realizes engineer-to-order production, the evaluation should encompass a long period of time. In the article a methodology based on ERP data analysis and end users’ satisfaction is proposed. This research is based on a real data, extracted from ERP system of a polish company that realizes prototyping production in the area of machine tools construction.

Opis:: The implementation of ERP system is performed to integrate business processes, efficient charge of company resources and give important data for decision support. Implementing of ERP system is expensive and time consuming. Therefore a great number of research activities are focused on key success factors of ERP implementations but only few deals with long term impact of ERP system on enterprise performance. In the article the relationship between implementation of ERP and values of important economic ratios of enterprises is analyzed. The analysis is a base for presented evaluation methodology of ERP system from economic point of view. As an example, an enterprise is taken into account that implemented ERP system in 2001. The illustrative examples are given.

Opis:: In this paper, development trends of information systems, information systems technology and enterprise information management were analyzed in the context of Industry 4.0 tools. In the first part (par. 1–2), fundamental definitions referred to the subject were presented as well as historic background of Integrated Management Information Systems. In the second part (par. 3), evolution and trends in ERP class systems, electronic economy tools and Product Lifecycle Management software were described. In the third part (par. 4–5), observed trends in information systems technology, in relation to Industry 4.0 tools, were discussed including manufacturing resources, production objects and novel management strategies approach. Many conclusions were related with actual manufacturing practices observed by the authors.
