Sustainable development of City Transport System is described in the article. Control tools relating to planning, and management of Public Transport System are described. 3-levels Integrated Control Tools system usage is offered which allows carrying out the control of vehicles, to supervise work of each type of transport separately and to co-ordinate work of all passenger transport system in the city.

Opis:
The interaction of real and virtual devices is an important point in the design and development of control system. The central part of an embedded control system is a controller and it needs input devices and output sensors for realization of the control. The proposed approach allows using a real controller with its specific programming tools and languages for intelligent software development and virtual measurement and sensor devices realized in a computer environment. Different wireless compounds are necessary for intelligent embedded devices for transport system control. For this reason a wireless communication network is needed to ensure the data transmission between the controller and supervisory control and data acquisition system. The purpose of this paper is to propose an approach for interaction of real, embedded and virtual devices in electric transport control systems. The main tasks are: to analyze objects and functional dependencies of an electric transportation control system, to develop a control algorithm with the interaction of real and virtual devices, to ensure a wireless connection for the data transfer from the controller to the supervisory control and data acquisition system, to define the method of transmitted data processing. Computer and practical experiments, with real and embedded devices, and the results analysis will be described the paper.

Opis:
The article describes public transport co-modality for sustainable development of a public transport system. New strategies are needed to make the city public transport more efficient, more accessible and more sustainable. There are some concepts described in the article. The concepts are illustrated with practical examples - how it is possible to increase the capacity of infrastructure and what has been done in the city of Riga for public transport sustainable development. Key benefits of each concept are also described. A more efficient use of city space, allocated to transport improves the overall performance of all the passenger transport system. The paper presents the concept of aid - a base graph approach to calculate the territory assigned to the particular stop of public transport for the cost optimization. Efficient planning and better use of infrastructure, as well as passenger-friendly interchanges and good traffic management, allocated to public transport, bring the public transport system towards sustainability.

Transport is one of the main sectors of the economy, which has a significant impact on the economic development. Efficient transport systems are the basis of economic competitiveness. However development of transport, especially in the case of road transport, results many inconvenience, like negative environmental impact, accidents or increase of congestion in cities. From the perspective of sustainable development the most important one is pollution. Depending on the type of emitted substances, transport pollution is of local or global nature. Considering the emission of pollutants in urban areas, emitted toxic compounds mainly impact the local pollution the environment. This paper is focused on utilization of Internet tools for visualization of data regarding local pollutions in urban transport systems. One of the most important problem in the analysis of city logistics systems is data collection. The solution, which could support this process is utilization of independent, easy to use devices. The paper is focused on the example of utilization the portable road traffic detectors. With transport problems such as congested streets we can meet today nearly in every bigger city. It arises from the main issue - an increase of individual car traffic in the city centre. The road charging in urban areas is very simple and efficient way to reduce traffic volumes, lower congestions or to limit individual transportation demand in the centres. In our paper we would like to point out a perspective solution of utilization of electronic charging system in city centre and focus on proposal of methodology for the implementation of an urban toll system.

The article presents opportunities for the Intelligent Transport System for the city of Wroclaw. In the first part the authors illustrate the current state of the system. The next section presents the results of studies into roads in the city of Wroclaw. The survey respondents were included, i.e. drivers, transport companies and employees of the police, the ambulance and fire brigade. The Author’s research tool was a questionnaire, and the study was conducted using a diagnostic survey. The remaining results show some disadvantages of the system and new perspectives of its development. On the basis of studies the authors presented improvements of the overall architecture of the system. This will allow the police and internships brigades to work more efficiently with primarily alert.
