- In this paper we have analyzed the properties of energy localization in time-frequency plane for rectangular pulse shape. The technique of space analysis of time-frequency localization (TFL) properties for pulse shapes was designed. We provide the method of OFDM signal synthesis with proper TFL based on the criteria of compactness and orthogonality. The comparative analysis of LTE system efficiency indexes for rectangular and compact pulses was conducted. The advantage of interference immunity and spectral efficiency for well-localized signals was proved.
