Opis:
We calculate the lifetime broadening of a nuclear magnetic resonance peak based on the minimal length uncertainty. The application of high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and its extension to detection of the signature of minimal length scale is explored. We show that in a high precision spectrometry test, the lifetime broadening is a quadratic function with energy.

Opis:
A sharp rejection, wide and deep stopband microstrip low pass filter is investigated in this paper. The proposed low pass filter is composed of three defected ground structure patterns and four open stubs. Simulated results verify that the filter has a sharpness factor of 0.9, a low insertion loss of 0.65 and a return loss less than 15 dB. Moreover, a wide stopband at 20 dB rejection ranging from 4.55 GHz to 11.62 GHz is accomplished. The filter presented in this work was compared with the previous works completed on low pass filter with sharp rejection. It has shown that the filter provides good performances in terms of sharp rejection, wide and deep rejection band and small passband insertion loss compared to those reported in the literatures.

Opis:
The superconducting state can be destroyed by the increase of temperature, magnetic field or current flow beyond their critical values. The critical current I_{c} is of special interest as most of the practical applications of superconductors crucially depend on its limiting value. Recent analysis of experimental data in many families of type I and type II superconductors have discovered an interesting universal relation between critical current density j_{c}, the critical magnetic field H_{c} and the penetration depth λ. For type II superconductors the role of the thermodynamic critical field H_{c} is played by the lower critical field H_{c1} and ratio between the relevant dimension of the system d with respect to the penetration depth matters. Thus the effective dimensionality of the system is important and rules the system behaviour. It turns out that the holographic analogy provides an interesting justification of the above findings. We have calculated the temperature dependence of the critical current in the strongly coupled holographic superconductors with the current flow. It has been found that, independently of the symmetry of the order parameter, the critical current depends on temperature in 2d systems as I_{c} ∝ (T_{c}-T)^{3/2} and agrees with that observed in thin films (d < λ). Similar calculations for 3d systems (d > λ) reveal linear T-dependence I_{c} ∝ (T_{c}-T).

Opis:
The magnetic translation group was introduced as a set of operators T(R)=exp[-iR·(p-eA/c)/h]. However, these operators commute with the Hamiltonian for an electron in a periodic potential and a uniform magnetic field if the vector potential A (the gauge) is chosen in a symmetric way. It is showed that a local gauge field A$\text{}_{R}$(r) on a crystal lattice leads to operators, which commute with the Hamiltonian for any (global) gauge field A = A(r). Such choice of the local gauge determines a factor system ω(R,R') = T(R)T(R')T(R+R')$\text{}^{-1}$, which depends on a global gauge only. Moreover, for any potential A a commutator T(R)T(R')T(R)$\text{}^{-1}$T(R')$\text{}^{-1}$ depends only on the magnetic field and not on the gauge.
