Opis:: Establishing the position of academic didactics — the didactics of higher education — among other scientific disciplines causes a lot of controversy and reveals a number of conflicting standpoints. Although traditionally assigned to the area of pedagogic reflection on higher education, academic didactics, according to some theses, is not a part of any specific discipline and is therefore somewhat scattered across various disciplines. Recapitulating different theoretical positions presented with reference to academic didactics, the Author points out a number of unsolvable and irreducible tensions arising in the area of disciplinary affiliation.
