Lean Green is a concept which is implemented as a part of the sustainable development strategy, share allowing for reduction of the company’s costs related to, on the one hand, efficient use of energy factors and on the other optimum use of production factors aimed at minimisation of wastefulness, in particular in the area of post-production waste and pollution. The purpose of the article is to identify the determinants, internal stimuli and to specify the force with which they affect the implementation of the Lean Green concept in companies on various continents: America, Asia and Europe. For the purpose of better recognition of the examined problem, analysis of results of studies was made in consideration of the following criteria: country where a given company operates and share of persons outside the company in the process of implementation of this concept. In article uses the one-way ANOVA methodology, the Shapiro Wilk and Levene tests and the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test. Hitherto studies have confirmed that the determinants are regional, which indicates the necessity of directional studies.

Opis:
Sustainability manufacturing is crucial in many aspects in terms of environmental impact. It concerns the consumption of energy, raw materials and materials, as well as the emission of harmful substances and waste. The implementation of sustainability manufacturing requires many actions at various levels, including strategic, tactical and operational ones. In order to implement measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact of the company on the environment, employees’ competencies are needed. The article presents preliminary research on key green competencies for sustainability companies. The research was carried out in the form of individual interviews with medium and large production companies. The result of the research is the division of competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) into three stages of the organization’s development, indicating the key competencies for each stage of the development of sustainability management.

Artykuł jest próbą omówienia zagadnień związanych z zieloną architekturą w kontekście procesu ekologizacji miasta. W tym celu wskazano na rolę zielonej architektury w terenach zurbanizowanych, analizowanej przez pryzmat wymiaru technologiczno-technicznego oraz środowiskowego w kontekście ekologizacji przestrzeni zurbanizowanej. Ponadto przedstawiono założenia budownictwa zrównoważonego i zróżnicowanie regionalne w Polsce dla tego typu inwestycji, a także rozwój zielonej infrastruktury w miastach w Polsce w postaci zielonych dachów i ścian.
The article is an attempt of describing the problems connected with green architecture in the context of town ecologization process. To obtain the purpose, a role of green architecture in urban areas, analyzed by technological-technical and environmental dimension, in the context of urban areas ecologization was indicated. Moreover, we present the assumptions of sustainable building and regional diversification in Poland for this kind of investment, but also the development of green infrastructure in Polish cities, in the form of green roofs and walls.

Opis:
This paper presents an overview of basic concepts, features and difficulties of the boundary element method (BEM) and examples of its application to exterior and interior problems. The basic concepts of the BEM are explained firstly, and different methods for treating the non-uniqueness problem are described. The application of the BEM to half-space problems is feasible by considering a Green’s Function that satisfies the boundary condition on the infinite plane. As a special interior problem, the sound field in an ultrasonic homogenizer is computed. A combination of the BEM and the finite element method (FEM) for treating the problem of acoustic-structure interaction is also described. Finally, variants of the BEM are presented, which can be applied to problems arising in flow acoustics.

Green synthesis is a biocompatible and stable method of producing zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs).In the present study, ZnONPs were biosynthesized using Fumaria parviflora extract by the green method, and the antibacterial and antioxidant properties of these NPs were evaluated. The characteristics of the synthesized ZnONPs were determined by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (UV-VIS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The antioxidant activity of the NPs was tested by the α-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. Antibacterial properties of the synthesized ZnONPs were evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli by disc diffusion and microdilution methods. The results of UV-VIS spectroscopy revealed an absorption peak at 370 nm. XRD results showed the formation of a hexagonal wurtzite structure, and SEM analyses demonstrated that ZnONPs had a spherical shape with an average size 42 to 60 nm. Free radical scavenging capacity of ZnONPs was assessed using the DPPH assay with varying concentrations of ZnONPs, and scavenging activity was observed with IC50 of 30.86 μg/ml. In the antibacterial assay, the inhibition zone of the synthesized NPs at 100 μg/ml concentration for S. aureus (24.6 ± 0.72) was greater than that of the antibiotics vancomycin (23 ± 0.51) and a mikacin (13 ± 0.40) and was greater for E. coli (13.2 ± 0.81)than that of vancomycin (12 ± 0.41) (P # 0.05). The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) values of ZnONPs for S. aureus and E. coli were 1.56 and 3.125 μg/ml, and 6.25 and 12.5 μg/ml, respectively. The biosynthesized ZnONPs showed strong antibacterial and antioxidant activities.

This article discusses an integrated concept of sustainable building and of Building Information Modelling (BIM) by means of implementation of the Green BIM management method. Apart from presenting this innovative project management method with particular attention paid to solutions applied by Scandinavian enterprises, the article aims at analysing institutional conditions regarding application of the Green BIM within Polish construction companies. Arguments presented in the article are based on results of a scientific review and industry specific publications. Moreover, the article discusses case studies of projects completed with the implementation of the Green BlM method.
W artykule zostały omówione nowoczesne trendy w zarządzaniu przedsięwzięciami budowlanymi ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem rozwiązań stosowanych przez przedsiębiorstwa skandynawskie. Doświadczenia Skandynawii we wdrażaniu innowacji zarówno technologicznych, procesowych jak i organizacyjnych w przemyśle budowlanym są źródłem dobrych praktyk dla polskiego budownictwa Artykuł porusza kwestie związane z koncepcją budownictwa zrównoważonego i na podstawie przeglądu literatury przedstawia możliwości holistycznego podejścia do zarządzania przedsięwzięciami budowlanymi, integrującego BIM z kwestiami zrównoważonego rozwoju. Innowacje organizacyjne w budownictwie, związane z koncepcją BIM i budownictwo zrównoważone to dwa kluczowe, obserwowane w ostatnich latach i opisywane w coraz liczniejszych publikacjach trendy globalnych zmian w przemyśle budowlanym. Do niedawna zmiany te następowały odrębnie, niezależnie od siebie. Od kilku lat coraz większe zainteresowanie budzi integrowanie założeń BIM z zasadami budownictwa zrównoważonego poprzez wdrażanie koncepcji Green BIM. W przekonaniu autora jest to ważny kierunek zmian z punktu widzenia innowacyjności polskiego budownictwa. Pozwala bowiem na wykorzystanie efektu synergii i doświadczeń zagranicznych związanych zarówno z wprowadzaniem BIM do zarządzania projektami jak i dotyczących zrównoważonego budownictwa. Wymaga to jednak fundamentalnej zmiany mentalności wszystkich uczestników procesu budowlano – inwestycyjnego, głębokiej modyfikacji zasad organizacji całego rynku budowlanego, z udziałem wszystkich jego interesariuszy.

The Neumann boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation within the quarter-space has been considered in this paper. The Green function has been used to find the acoustic pressure amplitude as the approximation valid within the Fraunhoffer’s zone for some time-harmonic steady state processes. The low fluid loading has been assumed and the acoustic attenuation has been neglected. It has also been assumed that the vibration velocity of the acoustic particles is small as compared with the sound velocity in the gaseous medium.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki planowania terenów rekreacyjno-wypoczynkowych w kontekście terenów zieleni. W pracy przeanalizowano wskaźniki urbanistyczne dotyczące terenów sportowo-rekreacyjnych i zieleni, a także aktualny potencjał rekreacyjny terenów zieleni Krakowa. Zakres czasowy pracy obejmuje okres od 1945 do 2021 roku. Wskazano zagrożenia, jakie mogą nieść za sobą interpretacje rankingów dotyczących stopnia zazielenienia miast oraz przedstawiono wnioski. Najistotniejszym z nich jest konkluzja, że Kraków dysponuje ogromnym, choć nierównomiernie rozłożonym potencjałem rekreacyjno-wypoczynkowym, który można wykorzystać w planowaniu terenów rekreacyjnych. Mimo tego, ciągle zauważalne są asymetrie w dostępie do takich terenów. Praca zwraca również uwagę na rewizję pojęcia „zieleni dostępnej” i podejmuje próbę jej redefinicji.
The paper focuses on the issue of the planning of recreational and leisure areas in the context of green spaces in the city. The study examines urban indicators created for sporting and recreational spaces as well as urban green areas. In addition, the current recreational potential of green areas in the city of Krakow is also assessed. The study period includes the years 1945–2021. The paper considers risks associated with the interpretation of rankings of the degree to which green areas are available in the city and subsequently provides a number of conclusions. The key conclusion in the paper is that Kraków possesses an immense recreational and leisure potential that is not evenly distributed in the city. This potential can be used in the design of urban recreational areas. One problem examined here is the issue of asymmetric access to such areas. Finally, the paper looks at the concept of ‘available green space’ and attempts to redefine it.

Based on China’s provincial panel data from 2009 to 2019, this paper empirically tests and analyzes the effects of industrial agglomeration and other important economic variables on industrial green technology innovation efficiency from the perspective of spatial statistical analysis. The results show that the efficiency of China’s industrial green innovation has not changed much during the study period, exhibiting an obvious polarization phenomenon. Moreover, the improvement of the degree of industrial agglomeration is conducive to the regional green innovation efficiency level. This means that industrial agglomeration produces effective environmental and innovation benefits. In addition, the influence coefficient of enterprise-scale is negative, indicating that for Chinese industrial enterprises, the enlargement of the production scale weakens the promotion effect of R&D activities. The influence coefficient of human capital is negative, mainly because the direct effect has a small and positive value, while the indirect effect (spillover effect) has a negative and large value, indicating that the spillover effect of human capital between regions in China is deficient.
