    The emerging potentials in the electronics field, which facilitate the creation of complex projects with innovative functionalities, while maintaining low costs, are becoming even more appreciated by designers and engineers. In this manuscript, a telemetry system was designed and realized for monitoring main parameters of a racing vehicle. A STM32 Nucleo board acquires data from sensors installed on vehicle and transmits them to a base station. Acquired data are both stored on a SD card and wirelessly transmitted, for ensuring robustness/reliability of operation. The carried out tests confirm the truthfulness and compatibility of acquired data related to the vehicle parameters.

    In the present dynamic environment, manufacture are required to reduce product development cycle time and enhance product quality. To meet such challenges many business are developing closer relationships with their business partner through application of interorganisational system. Electronic data interchange (EDI) providing a structured form of communication and has become very popular vehicle for electronic communication. Since the EDI concept was popularised in 1990, there is a growing recognition by practitioners and academics. The aim of this study is to perform an analysis of EDI research, give the current discussion regarding the trends and note the suggestions for the future directions of EDI research in the manufacture. In this paper, we provide a wide coverage of excessively citations on EDI from 1990 to 2017 from good references in this area. The papers are classified into EDI implementation strategy, EDI adoption, EDI integration, EDI in supply chain and EDI in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The study results of this literature review are expected to assist development of EDI research especially the implementation of EDI on production outsourcing as one of supply chain activities.

    In the assembly industry, almost all components are outsourced or transferred to other parties, in order to meet the need for supply. This is referred as outsourcing of production. The outsourcing of assembly product components is based on a relationship model between the contractor and the industry. However, there is no relationship or communication pattern between the contractor or supplier and the assembler. Hence, in order to accelerate line production and overcome problems with assembly components, the communication path is shortened by providing a direct communication channel between the assembler and the supplier or contractor, in order to communicate any problems that arise during the assembly process by internal communication within the industry. The purpose of this study is the design and development of a web-based software application electronic data interchange (EDI) that can be used as a tool for communication between the assembler and supplier. The EDI application provides formal communication between the assembly industry and the contractor providing the components or parts needed in the assembly process. The main purpose of using EDI technology is to help the assembler to communicate the relevant documents to suppliers quickly, accurately and efficiently. The documents to be communicated are in the form of reports or claims, and are related to non-conformities, errors and component difficulties arising during the assembly process. This research novelty is providing direct communication between assembly and supplier by using EDI application that can give contribution in manufacturing area so it can accelerate the line production in assembly.

    The paper presents analysis of the possibility of using selected hash functions submitted for the SHA-3 competition in the SDEx encryption method. The group of these functions will include the finalists of the SHA-3 competition, i.e. BLAKE, Grøstl, JH, Keccak, Skein. The aim of the analysis is to develop more secure and faster cryptographic algorithm compared to the current version of the SDEx method with SHA-512 and the AES algorithm. When considering the speed of algorithms, mainly the software implementation will be taken into account, as it is the most commonly used.

    In this paper, we estimate the upper limit of the transmission data rate in airborne ultrasonic communications, under condition of the optimal power allocation. The presented method is based on frequency response of a channel in case of single-path LOS propagation under different climatic conditions and AWGN background noise model, and it can be easily extended to the case of frequency-dependent noise. The obtained results go beyond the discrete distances for which experimental SNR values were available, and are more accurate than the previous calculations in the literature, due to the inclusion of the channel frequency response and its changes over the distance. The impact of air temperature, relative humidity and the atmospheric pressure on the channel capacity is also investigated. The presented results can serve as a reference during the design of airborne ultrasonic communication systems operating in the far-field region.

    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie komunikowania się personelu z niepełnosprawnymi intelektualnie mieszkańcami domu pomocy społecznej. Artykuł koncentruje się na symbolicznym akcie komunikacji, w którym główną rolę odgrywają różne formy ekspresji upośledzonych umysłowo podopiecznych. Kontekstem prowadzonych rozważań jest ogólna charakterystyka porozumiewania się osób niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie z otoczeniem, odwołująca się do takich mechanizmów interakcyjnych, jak intencjonalność i istotność, a także sytuacyjność oraz standaryzacja komunikatu. W badaniach wykorzystane zostały dane jakościowe, zdobyte przez pogłębiony wywiad swobodny oraz obserwację jawną, przeprowadzone z personelem i niepełnosprawnymi intelektualnie mieszkańcami domu pomocy społecznej. Analiza i interpretacja materiału badawczego prowadzona jest zgodnie z zasadami metodologii teorii ugruntowanej.
    The article aims at presenting the process of communication between personnel and intellectually disabled residents of a social welfare home. It focuses on a symbolic act of communication, where the key role is played by various forms of expression of the mentally disabled wards. The author’s reflections are placed in the context of general characteristics of intellectually disabled individuals communicating with their surroundings, referring to such interaction mechanisms as intentionality and significance, as well as situationality and standardization of a message. The studies make use of qualitative data collected using the techniques of unstructured interview and participant observation, conducted with personnel and mentally disabled residents of a social welfare home. Analysis and interpretation of research material is conducted in accordance with methodological principles of grounded theory.
