Opis:: The article presents the process of production of coated electrodes and their welding properties. The factors concerning the welding properties and the currently applied method of assessing are given. The methodology of the testing based on measuring and recording of instantaneous values of welding current and welding arc voltage is discussed. The article presents the application of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for the analysis of instantaneous values of welding current and welding arc voltage. The results of coated electrodes welding properties are compared. Finally the conclusions drawn from the research are presented.
Omówiono proces produkcji elektrod otulonych oraz ich wymagane właściwości spawalnicze. Przedstawiono wskaźniki właściwości spawalniczych oraz stosowaną dotychczas metodykę oceny. Omówiono metodyką badań polegającą na pomiarze i rejestracji wartości chwilowych natężenia prądu spawania i napięcia łuku spawalniczego. Przedstawiono sposób wykorzystania Szybkiej Transformaty Fouriera (FFT) do analizy wartości chwilowych natężenia prądu spawania i napięcia łuku spawalniczego. Zestawiono wyniki badań właściwości spawalniczych elektrod otulonych. Zaprezentowano wnioski z wykonanych badań.

Opis:: The article presents the problem of lack of compliance with population registration requirements, in relation to the factual place of residence. This problem persists in Poland due to the reliance of official statistics on the data on current registrations, and also due to adoption of the legal, rather than factual definition of residence. To estimate the extent of this phenomenon for Mazovia voivodship, the data of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) are used, which enable a comparison of the addresses of permanent residence with the address for correspondence of the insured persons. Depending on the age group, the identified differences were quite high, especially for the most mobile ages (e.g. over 9% for people aged 27 years). Spatial concentration was also shown, especially with respect to underestimation of the true population of Warsaw and its suburban areas, and overestimation for peripheral regions. In many communes the problem of non-compliance with registration requirements concerns over 10% of the registered population. This limits the scope of demographic analyses, especially in the context of their practical applications and population projections

Opis:: The article discusses the quality of population census data – information obtained in the oldest, largest and most famous statistical surveys. In particular, the quality assessment of census data refers to the Polish experience. The article aims to propose an integrated approach to censuses, based on administrative records and sample surveys. Despite a long tradition, as well as a well-developed research methodology, censuses do not provide ‘perfect’ results. First of all, the census as a comprehensive study may be burdened with non-random errors. Taking into account all the different methods for conducting censuses, including the traditional method, using data from administrative records with sample surveys and the mixed method, different sources of error are analyzed. The study also attempts to define the census population in the light of international standards concerning usual residents, permanent residents and actual residents, with the resulting consequences. Sources of errors, methods of their identification and elimination are discussed. Particular attention is paid to coverage errors, which are illustrated by examples from Polish censuses. The results of previous studies assessing the quality of administrative records, which were conducted in preparation for 2011 Population Census, are taken into account. Evaluation of population censuses is traditionally carried out based on the results of post-census surveys. In the UK, the results of the Census Coverage Survey are the basis for estimating the degree of underenumeration in 2001 Census. Polish experiences in this field are rather limited. The discussion also includes harmonization problems, particularly the danger of divergent results and estimates, in terms of several data sources. In this regard, the British One Number Census project is presented. The idea of the project was to reduce the population underestimate and provide outputs which would be consistent in cross-section of territorial units in the regional and at a national level.

Opis:: The transfer function (TF) method is presently a well-known method used to detect various types of winding damage in power transformers. Although abundant research has been done on this subject using laboratory windings as test objects, it is hard to find one, whose test objects are actual large-power transformer windings. Hence, a 400 kV disc winding consisting of 86 discs is used in this paper to study turn-to-turn short circuit with the help of the TF method. To evaluate the effects of this type of fault on TF curves, some mathematical comparison algorithms are used in this research.
