22 representative antibiotics, including 8 quinolones (QNs), 9 sulfonamides (SAs), and 5 macrolides (MCs) were selected to investigate their occurrence and removal efficiencies in a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and their distribution in the receiving water of the Chaobai River in Beijing, China. Water quality monitoring was performed in an integrated way at different selected points in the WWTP to explore the potential mechanism of antibiotics removal during wastewater treatment. Water quality of the Chaobai River wa s also analyzed to examine environmental distribution in a river ecosystem. The results showed that within all the 22 compounds examined, 10 antibiotics were quantifi ed in wastewater influent, 10 in effluent, and 7 in river. Sulfadiazine (SDZ, 396 ng/L) and Sulfamethazine (SMZ, 382 ng/L) were the dominating antibiotics in the influent. Both the conventional treatment and advanced Biological Aerated Filter (BAF) system was important for the removal of antibiotics from the wastewater. And the concentrations of selected antibiotics were ranged from 0–41.8 ng/L in the effluent-receiving river. Despite the fact that the concentrations were reduced more than 50% compared to effluent concentrations, WWTP discharge was still regarded as a dominant point-source input of antibiotics into the Chaobai River.

In this paper, we report the complex crystallization kinetics of phase transition happening in Ti-Cu-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs), which play significant roles in the glass formation with respect to their low reduced glass transition temperatures, Trg. The first exothermic event just occurs when annealing the BMG samples in the supercooled liquid region, leading to the Avrami exponent deviating from conventional modes affected by the residual amorphous phase. For Ti43Cu43Ni7Zr7 BMG, the plasticity can be improved by pre-annealing at a sub-Tg temperature of 623K (≈50K below Tg) for 0.5 hour, however, deteriorated by 1 hour annealing, which could be related to the change in stability of this BMG against crystallization with different pre-annealing times.

The recently proposed q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) characterized by a membership degree and a non-membership degree is powerful tool for handling uncertainty and vagueness. This paper proposes the concept of q-rung orthopair linguistic set (q-ROLS) by combining the linguistic term sets with q-ROFSs. There after, we investigate multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) with q-rung orthopair linguistic information. To aggregate q-rung orthopair linguistic numbers (q-ROLNs), we extend the Heronian mean (HM) to q-ROLSs and propose a family of q-rung orthopair linguistic Heronian mean operators, such as the q-rung orthopair linguistic Heronian mean (q-ROLHM) operator, the q-rung orthopair linguistic weighted Heronian mean (q-ROLWHM) operator, the q-rung orthopair linguistic geometric Heronian mean (q-ROLGHM) operator and the q-rung orthopair linguistic weighted geometric Heronian mean (q-ROLWGHM) operator. Some desirable properties and special cases of the proposed operators are discussed. Further, we develop a novel approach to MAGDM within q-rung orthopair linguistic context based on the proposed operators. A numerical instance is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiorities of the proposed method.

In this study, cubic and cylindrical cement mortar specimens were first subjected to high temperatures, then the cubic and cylindrical specimens were taken out and conducted with uniaxial compressive test and splitting tensile test, respectively. The effect of the length to side ratio on the uniaxial compressive properties and the effect of thickness-to-diameter ratio on the splitting tensile properties of cement mortar specimens after high temperature were studied. Test results show that: (1) With temperature increasing from 25 ºC (room temperature) to 400 ºC, the compressive strength and elastic modulus of cubic specimens with three kinds of side lengths decrease; the decreasing rates of compressive strength and elastic modulus of cubic specimen with side length of 70.7 mm is higher than those of cubic specimens with side length of 100 mm and 150 mm, and the strain at the peak stress of cubic specimens with three kinds of side lengths increase. (2) After the same temperature, the tensile strength of cylindrical specimen decreases with the thickness-to-diameter ratio increasing from 0.5 to 1.0. The decreasing rate of tensile strength of cylindrical specimen with thickness-to-diameter ratio is highest when the temperature is 25 ºC (room temperature), followed by that after the temperature of 200 ºC, and that after the temperature of 400 ºC is the lowest.

The parenchyma cellulose isolated from bagasse pith was used as an alternative resource for preparation of water-soluble cellouronic acid sodium salt (CAS). The influence of ultrasound treatment on the cellulose was investigated for obtaining CAS by regioselective oxidization using 4-acetamide-TEMPO and NaClO with NaClO2 as a primary oxidant in an aqueous buffer at pH 6.0. The yield, carboxylate content and polymerization degree (DP) of CAS were measured as a function of ultrasonic power, agitating time and cellulose consistency by an orthogonal test. The ultrasound-treated conditions were further improved by discussion of ultrasonic power, the most important factor influencing the yield and DP. An optimized CAS yield of 72.9% with DP value (DPv) of 212 was found when the ultrasonic strength is 550 W, agitating time is 3 h and cellulose consistency is 2.0%. The oxidation reactivity of cellulose was improved by ultrasonic irradiation, whereas no significant changes in crystallinity of cellulose were measured after ultrasonic treatment. Moreover, the ultrasound treatment has a greater effect on yielding CAS from parenchyma cellulose than from bagasse fibrous’ one. The CAS was further characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Opis:
A novel in-phase disposition (IPD) SPWM pulse allocation strategy applied to a cascaded H-bridge (CHB) converter is presented in this paper. The reason causing the power of the CHB converter imbalance is analyzed according to the traditional structure, the conception of power imbalance degree is introduced and the principle of the novel in-phase disposition SPWM allocation strategy is deduced in detail. The new pulse allocation scheme can ensure the power balance in 3/4 cycles through interchanging the PWM pulse sequence of the different CHB cell, meanwhile it makes the full advantage of the IPD control strategy, lower the total harmonic distortion (THD) of line voltage compared to a carrier phase shifted (CPS) control strategy, which is verified by theoretical derivation. A seven-level cascaded inverter composed by three H-bridge cells is taken as the example. The simulation and experiment is performed. The results indicate the validity of the analysis and verify the effectiveness of the proposed SPWM allocation strategy.

In this paper, we investigate the implementation schemes of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) devices. There are three implementation schemes: the interdigital transducer, the meander line transducer and the grating transducer. Because the interdigital transducer has excellent properties, namely, good frequency characteristic and low insertion loss, we use the interdigital transducer as the implementation scheme of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using MSSW device. In the paper, we also present the solutions to the three key problems: the direct coupling between the input transducer and the output transducer, the insertion loss, and the loss characteristics of the gyromagnetic film having an influence on the wavelet transform processor. There are two methods of reducing the direct coupling between the input transducer and the output transducer: increasing the distance between the input transducer and the output transducer, and placing a metal "wall" between the input transducer and the output transducer. There also are two methods of reducing the insertion loss of a single-scale wavelet transform processor using a MSSW device for scale: the appropriate thickness of the yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film and the uniform magnetic field. The smaller the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth of the gyromagnetic film, the smaller the magnetostatic wave propagation loss.

Dynamic softening behaviors of a promising biomedical Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy under hot deformation conditions across dual phase α + β and single phase β regions were quantitatively characterized by establishing corresponding dynamic recovery (DRV) and dynamic recrystallization (DRX) kinetic models. A series of wide range hot compression tests on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical physical simulator were implemented under the strain rate range of 0.01-10 s−1 and the temperature range of 923-1173 K. The apparent differences of flow stress curves obtained in dual phase α + β and single phase β regions were analyzed in term of different dependence of flow stress to temperature and strain rate and different microstructural evolutions. Two typical softening mechanisms about DRV and DRX were identified through the variations of a series of stress-strain curves acquired from these compression tests. DRX is the dominant softening mechanism in dual phase α + β range, while DRV is the main softening mechanism in single phase β range. The DRV kinetic model for single phase β region and the DRX kinetic model for dual phase α + β region were established respectively. In addition, the microstructures of the compressed specimens were observed validating the softening mechanisms accordingly.

Opis:
Methane drainage method should be used before coal mining of many modern collieries because venti lation air methane is in sufficient to keep methane level within regulation values. The technology of high drilling methane drainage (HDMD) has been used for methane drainage although its effect is not very stable due to parameter design. The height of the fracturing zones is determined mostly according to empirical formula, on-site observation and numerical simulation analysis. In this paper, a method was introduced for determining the height of the air f ract uring zones (AFZs) based on its high similarity to the characteristics of Fracturing zones and the relationship between the height of Fracturing zones and the strain of overl ying rock strata. The application of water injection in both Shuangdingshan and Dongrong collieries found that the theoretically calculated the height of the Fracturing zones was approximately equal to the measured one in field tests within a permissible error of less than 5%, proving that the method is feasible. Based on the designed drainage parameters, the u tilization of HDMD technology in the collieries mentioned above found that the methane concentrations in both tail gate and upper corner were controlled in the ranges of 0.17% to 0.32% and 0.26% to 0.84%, respectively. These results showed that the water injection verified HDMD in Fracturing zones could effectively solve the problem of metha ne overrun and also verified the accuracy and reliability of its related theory.
Przed rozpoczęciem wydobycia węgla w wielu obecnie eksploatowanych kopalniach wskazane jest odprowadzenie metanu, ponieważ stosowane systemy wentylacji powietrza są niewystarczające aby utrzymać stężenia metanu na dopuszczalnym poziomie. Technologia odprowadzania metanu metodą odwiertów prowadzonych na różnej wysokości (HDMD) wykorzystywana jest w tym celu, choć jej wyniki nie zawsze są stabilne ze względu na konieczność doboru parametrów obliczeniowych. Wysokość strefy szczelinowania określa się zazwyczaj empirycznie, na podstawie obserwacji w terenie oraz drogą symulacji numerycznych. W pracy tej określono wysokość strefy wykonania szczelin w oparciu o podobieństwo do charakterystyk Strefy szczelinowania oraz o analizę odkształceń warstw nadkładu. Zastosowano wtrysk wody w kopalniach Shuangdingshan i Dongrong i stwierdzono, że teoretycznie obliczona wysokość stref szczelinowania była w przybliżeniu równa wysokości zmierzonej empirycznie w trakcie badań terenowych, z dopuszczalnym poziomem błędu poniżej 5%, co wskazuje na możliwość zastosowania metody. W oparciu o parametry obliczeniowe stwierdzono, że zastosowanie metody HDMD w wyżej wymienionych kopalniach spowodowało, że stężenia metanu rejestrowane w chodniku nadścianowym i górnych narożach utrzymywały się odpowiednio na poziomie 0.17%, 0.32% i 0.26%-0.84%. Wyniki te pokazują, że wtrysk wody w strefie szczelin pomaga skutecznie rozwiązać problem obecności zbyt wysokich ilości metanu, ponadto potwierdza dokładność i wiarygodność teorii na której metoda jest oparta.

Magnetic-geared permanent magnet (MGPM) electrical machine is a new type of machine by incorporating magnetic gear into PM electrical machine, and it may be in operation with low-speed, high-torque and direct-driven. In this paper, three types of MGPM machines are present, and a quantitative comparison among them is performed by finite element analysis (FEA). The magnetic field distribution, stable torque and back EMF are obtained at no-load. The results show that three types of MGPM machine are suitable for different application fields respectively according to their own advantages, such as high torque and back EMF, which form an important foundation for MGPM electrical machine research.

A “rock bridge”, defined as the closest distance between two joints in a rock mass, is an important feature affecting the jointed rock mass strength. Artificial jointed rock specimens with two parallel joint fractures were tested under uniaxial compression and numerical simulations were carried out to study the effects of the inclination of the rock bridge, the dip angle of the joint, rock bridge length, and the length of joints on the strength of the jointed rock mass. Research results show: (1) When the length of the joint fracture, the length of the rock bridge, and the inclination of the rock bridge stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen gradually increases as the inclination of the joint fracture increases from 0° to 90°. (2) When the length of the joint fracture, the length of the rock bridge, and the inclination of the joint fracture stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen shows variations in trends with the inclination of the rock bridge increasing from 30° to 150° (3). In the case when the joint is angled from the vertical loading direction, when the dip angle of the joint fracture, the inclination of the rock bridge, and the length of the rock bridge stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen gradually decreases with an increasing length of joint fracture. When the dip angle of the joint fracture, the inclination of the rock bridge, and the length of the joint fracture stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen does not show a clear trend with an increase of the length of the rock bridge.
