Opis:
The paper presents a simulation model of the radio frequency MIMO-OFDM system. The simulation model was made in Matlab Simulink environment. It contains the transmitter, the receiver and the telecommunication channel models. The telecommunication channel model consists of models used during development of technical documentation of IEEE 802.11n. Signals generated at the transmitter output are fully compatible with signals described in IEEE 802.11n [1]. Simulations are conducted on a radio frequency, so they can be compared with results of measurements of real systems.

Opis:
Modern metal forming processes of non-ferrous metals, particularly aluminum and its alloys, are increasingly based on integrated technologies combining numerous operations in one process line. The subject of this paper focuses on the possibility of using materials after mould casting (simulating a continuous casting process between cylindrical crystallizers - Twin Roll Casting method) for the direct cold rolling process. As a part of this research a pilotage study on metallurgical synthesis and mould casting process of Al-Mg alloys with the magnesium contents of 5%-10%, testing their mechanical, electrical and structural properties as well as susceptibility to cold plastic deformation. This process was carried out with the measurement of strength parameters and confirmed the possibility of cold rolling alloys with a casting structure without prior hot deformation.

Opis:
Twin Roll Casting technology belongs to modern, integrated method of processing aluminum and its alloys. This method includes preparation of liquid metal and its continuous casting between the rotating cylindrical crystallizers, optional homogenizing treatment, cold rolling and optional interoperation or final heat treatment. Final products of TRC method are strips with a thickness from few to several millimeters, which can be directly subjected to cold rolling process to afford a sheet. Properties of final product are limited by the material’s condition, its chemical composition and also selected path of its processing technology. The paper presents research results of chemical composition and mechanical properties of strips obtained in Twin Roll Casting processing line.

Opis:
The most recent and promising trends in development of renewable sources of energy are Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems. The newest solutions from this field are hybrid compact solar panels. The correct operation of both systems, i.e. the photovoltaic panel and the heat exchanger requires an effective connection between the two. The adhesives utilized to interconnect above elements should provide a stable and hermetic joint able to withstand mechanical and thermal impacts of the surrounding environment factors. The paper presents the research results over the impact of the type and the amount of reinforcing phase on the physical and mechanical properties of epoxy resin matrix composites reinforced with particles of non-ferrous metals (Ag, Cu, W, Al), dedicated as adhesives for connections between photovoltaic panels and heat exchangers. Based on the experimental findings the usefulness of classical analytic models for valuation of polymer-metal composites properties was validated.

Opis:
Modern manufacturing methods of non-ferrous metals, especially aluminum and its alloys, are more and more often based on integrated technologies combining multiple operations in a single process. One of the most popular methods for producing flat components by cold working is twin roll casting technology (TRC). It allows to eliminate from manufacturing the extremely expensive hot rolling operation, as the TRC semi-product (strip) can be directly cold rolled. The results of mechanical and electrical properties and structure examination of strips after casting were presented in the paper. The effect of cold rolling parameters on post-process mechanical properties and structure of sheets was investigated too.

Opis:
The paper shows a new idea of aluminium alloys. New alloys with specially selected alloying element i.e. silver have electrical conductivity similar to pure aluminium at ambient temperature and better than pure aluminium electrical conductivity at increased temperatures. Al-Ag alloys for electrical applications (mainly for electrical conductors) due to high electrical conductivity at increased temperatures at the level of the maximum conductor working temperatures give possibility of better current capacity of conductors. The experimental results of basic mechanical properties and the electric conductivity versus temperature relation are shown in the paper as well as examples of the tested material operational properties. The summary gives theoretical analysis based on examples of the potential applications of Al-Ag alloys (new conductor designs) which provide the benefits of the new solutions in comparison to traditional conductors.
