Opis:
The current work presents and describes the test bench for analyzing the lost foam process, especially measuring of the pressure of gases in the gas gap and continuous measuring of the rate of rise of the bath level when pouring the liquid metal into the mould. A series of preliminary research was carried out on the bench which was aimed at determining the influence of the basic parameters of the process, i.e. the density of the styrofoam pattern, thickness of the refractory coating applied on the pattern, kind of the alloy and the temperature of pouring on the mould cavity by the liquid metal and the pressure of gases in the gas gap.

This paper presents automatic test bench used for measurement of selected high frequency parameters of a power copper line. The aim is fast estimation of line behavior in context of Power Line Communication (PLC). The hardware interface uses sinusoidal waveform generator, digital oscilloscope and a PC-class computer. The software interface created in LabVIEW environment performs signal processing and data presentation.

Many researchers in the developed countries have been intensively seeking effective methods of plastic recycling over the past years. Those techniques are necessary to protect our natural environment and save non-renewable resources. This paper presents the concept of an electrostatic separator designed as a test bench dedicated to the separation of mixed plastic waste from the automotive industry. According to the current policy of the European Union on the recycling process of the automotive industry, all these waste materials must be recycled further for re-entering into the life cycle (according to the circular economy). In this paper, the proposed concept and design of the test bench were offered the feasibility to conduct research and technological tests of the electrostatic separation process of mixed plastics. The designed test bench facilitated assessing the impact of positions of high-voltage electrodes, the value and polarity of the high voltage, the variable speed of feeders and drums, and also triboelectrification parameters (like time and intensity) on the process, among others. A specialized computer vision system has been proposed and developed to enable quick and reliable evaluation of the impact of process parameters on the efficiency of electrostatic separation. The preliminary results of the conducted tests indicated that the proposed innovative design of the research stand ensures high research potential, thanks to the high accuracy of mixed plastics in a short time. The results showed the significant impact of the corona electrode position and the value of the applied voltage on the separation process effectiveness. It can be concluded that the results confirmed the ability to determine optimally the values of the studied parameters, in terms of plastic separation effectiveness. This study showed that this concept of an electrostatic separator designed as a test bench dedicated for separation of mixed plastic waste can be widely applied in the recycling plastic industry.

This paper presents a method of wireless measurement of pressure and temperature of air in a car wheel with Tire Pressure Monitoring System - one of the modern safety systems used in the automotive industry. The readings were performed on a specially designed test bench. It was described a construction and operating principle of key elements of this test bench allowing work with sensors, TPMS module, reference instruments, and the format of data and correctness of data transmission between TPMS and host computer. The created software for embedded system emulating real on-board computer let to observe the uncorrected sensor readings and the effect of calibration in two points of characteristic.

The results of torsional shaft vibration bench tests for a prototype aircraft propeller speed reduction unit are presented in this paper. The study was conducted as a function of engine speed and lubrication conditions. 3D model of the propeller speed reduction unit was developed. By using the finite element method, normal modes frequencies were defined. The simulation was conducted both unloaded and loaded under nominal power conditions.

In recent years, the Steer-by-Wire (SBW) technology has been gaining popularity and replacing classical steering systems. It plays the most crucial role in autonomous cars where the vehicle must perform maneuvers on its own without driver’s intervention. One of the key components of this system is the steering wheel angle sensor (SAS). Its reliability and performance may affect driver’s life and health. The purpose of this paper is to show a test system to comprehensively evaluate the performance of the steering wheel angle sensor in the SBW system during real-world maneuvers and show how SAS parameters such as accuracy of angle, angular speed etc. affect car trajectory resulting in hit cones. For this purpose, a test system was built, with the use of virtual test drives based on CarMaker software, CANoe and VTSystem hardware. In order to evaluate its performance, the errors introduced by the system were determined. Additionally, using the realised test system, three commercial steering wheel angle sensors were tested and compared during a virtual test drive. Their errors were determined, as well as their performance in the SBW technology and the consistency of the obtained results with the parameters declared by the manufacturer were verified as well.

A testbench is built to verify a functionality of a shift register IC (Integrated Circuit) from stuck-at-faults, stuck-at-1 as well as stuck-at-0. The testbench is supported by components, i.e., generator, interface, driver, monitor, scoreboard, environment, test, and testbench top. The IC consists of sequential logic circuits of D-type flip-flops. The faults may occur at interconnects between the circuits inside the IC. In order to examine the functionality from the faults, both the testbench and the IC are designed using SystemVerilog and simulated using Questasim simulator. Simulation results show the faults may be detected by the testbench. Moreover, the detected faults may be indicated by error statements in transcript results of the simulator.

Opis:
The article presents the results of experimental harmonic drive gear. An analysis of the accuracy of the rotary motion of the transmission was made. The analysis included determining the kinematic deviations in various measuring ranges. The study was conducted on a specially prepared test bench, on a physical model of a harmonic drive. The transmission has been designed, made and tested for the geometric correctness in accordance with applicable standards. The measurements of the angles of the rotation of the passive shaft were carried out with high accuracy using the optical dividing head and compared with the theoretical values. On that basis, according to the Polish PN-ISO 1328-1: 2000, they were determined kinematic displacement values, which were compared with the limit values.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych zębatej przekładni falowej. Prowadzono analizę dokładności ruchu obrotowego przekładni, poprzez określanie wartości odchyłki kinematycznej dla różnych zakresów wartości pomiarowych. Badania wykonano na specjalnie przygotowanym stanowisku pomiarowym, dla fizycznego modelu zębatej przekładni falowej. Przekładnię zaprojektowano, wykonano oraz sprawdzono pod względem poprawności geometrycznej, zgodnie z obowiązującymi normami. Pomiar wartości kąta obrotu wałka biernego prowadzono przy zastosowaniu podzielnicy optycznej. Wykonano analizę porównawczą z uwzględnieniem ustalonych wartości teoretycznych kąta obrotu. Była podstawą określenia zgodnie z PN-ISO 1328-1:2000 wartości odchyłek kinematycznych, które porównywano z wartościami dopuszczalnymi.
