Opis:: The paper concerns influence of transformer tap changer regulation on secondary voltage level and voltage stability margin of receiving node. At the beginning there are presented general information about voltage stability and tap changer. Voltage value of secondary terminals of transformer can be regulated using tap changer. This regulation also affects the calculation of Thevenin equivalent parameters seen from the secondary terminals. Changes of equivalent parameters cause a change of voltage stability conditions. Simulation studies of this influence for various types of load have been done. Selected simulation results are presented in the paper. At the end there are placed conclusions from the performed studies.

Opis:: Magnetizing current effect minimization in current transformers is considered in this paper. Double-core current transformer operation is described in the following text. The influence of the magnetizing current, which is a significant element of current transformer's error, has been minimized in a new type of double-core current transformer connection. The accuracy evaluation of built double-core current transformer has been carried out according to obtained transformation precision.

Opis:: A SO(3) transformer of a three-plate polarizer is adopted to rapidly achieve the transformation of the polarized state. The polarization coding based on Stokes components S2 and S3 is analyzed and demonstrated. Tabu search algorithm is used to accelerate the transformation of the polarized state by utilizing Mueller matrix roots decomposition to decompose the SO(3) matrix, and substituting first order Taylor series approximations for the trigonometric functions in the SO(3) matrix. The results show that bias voltage is less than 120 V in the coding zone. The search speed of our algorithm is faster than the one without first order Taylor series approximations by 4 times.

Opis:: This paper presents a new differential protection scheme for transmission lines with application of fuzzy signal processing and support of phase comparison criterion. Traditional differential relays may have problems with proper classification of external faults with CT saturation. Better protection stabilization for such cases is obtained with support of fuzzy signal processing. In proposed solution the input signals as well as the standard percentage characteristic are fuzzified. The performance of presented fuzzy protection scheme has been tested with the signals generated with use of EMTP-ATP program and compared to the traditional solution.
W artykule zaprezentowano nowe zabezpieczenie różnicowe, w którym zastosowano rozmyte przetwarzanie sygnałów oraz dodatkowe kryterium porównawczo-fazowe. Proponowane zabezpieczenie jest bardziej odporne na zwarcia zewnętrzne z nasyceniem przekładników prądowych, co potwierdziły przeprowadzone testy. Proponowany algorytm testowany był na sygnałach pochodzących z symulacji w EMTP-ATP, a wyniki porównano ze standardowym przekaźnikiem różnicowym.

Opis:: Analysis of ferroresonance oscillations in capacitive voltage transformer is presented. For this purpose an analytical approach to ferroresonance is firstly introduced. With use of the harmonic balance method the condition for avoiding stable subharmonic oscillations of the 3rd mode is stated. In the next step the ATP-EMTP simulation based investigations are carried out to find the suppression circuit parameter (or parameters) which assure damping of the nonlinear oscillations in accordance to the requirements of the standards. Two kinds of suppression circuits designed for the considered capacitive voltage transformer construction are investigated. The possible chaotic phenomena resulting from nonlinear oscillations are also examined. The obtained results are pr esented and discussed.

Opis:: Analysis of ferroresonance phenomena in high voltage (HV) power networks is presented in this paper. The adequate digital simulation model for investigation of ferroresonance oscillations in MATLAB/Simulink program was developed. In the paper HV power system configuration with circuit breaker grading capacitors was described and analyzed. The phase as well as open delta VT voltages and their spectra were considered as signals for ferroresonance detection. Additionally, the possibility of ferroresonance oscillations suppression was also studied.

Opis:: Regulation methods of the receiving node voltage has been analyzed in the paper. There has been used Thevenin equivalent to develop, simulate and analyze these methods. The paper presents also an on-line method of Thevenin model parameters updating using local phasor measurements. Based on this model influence of the voltage regulation on the local stability margin of the receiving node has been analyzed. Three methods of voltage regulation: transformer tap changing, compensation of reactive power and under voltage load shedding have been examined.
