    Opis:
    In the paper the optimal robust vibration control of flexible rotor supported by the active magnetic bearings (AMBs) is investigated. The purpose of the control system is stabilization of the high speed rotor and effective control of the rotor vibration due to noncollocation, gyroscopic effects and model uncertainties. The noncollocation effect is considered and frequency modal analysis of the noncollocated AMBs system with gyroscopic effects is presented. The ž-Synthesis control is applied to stabilize the rigid and flexible critical frequency modes of the rotor, with emphasis structural and parametric uncer-tainty. The input and output signals in AMBs system are limited by the weighting functions. The singular value analysis is used to obtain therobust performances of the closed-loop system. The stable operation and good stiffness of the high speed rotor supported magnetically is reached. The dynamical behaviour of the AMBs rotor is evaluated in the range up to 21 000 rpm. The experimental tests show the effectiveness of the robust control system as well as good vibrations reduction and robustness of the designed controllers.

    Opis:
    Frictionless contact of two isotropic half spaces is considered one of which has a small smooth circular recess. A method of solving the corresponding boundary value problem of elasticity in axially symmetric case is presented via the function of gap height. The governing integral equation for this function is solved analytically by assuming a certain shape of the initial recess. On the basis of the closed-form solution obtained the strength analysis of a contact couple is performed and illustrated from the standpoint of fracture mechanics.

    Opis:
    The stress hypersingular integral equations of axisymmetric elasticity are considered. The singular and hypersingular integrals are regularized using the imposition of auxiliary polynomial solution, and self-regular integral equations are obtained for bounded and unbounded domains. The stress-BEM formulation is considered basing on the proposed equations. Considered numerical examples show high efficiency of the proposed approach. New problem for inclusion in finite cylinder is considered.

    This paper investigated the fracture behaviour of a piezo-electro-magneto-elastic material subjected to electro-magneto-mechanical loads. The PEMO-elastic medium contains a straight-line crack which is parallel to its poling direction and loaded surface of the half-space. Fourier transform technique is used to reduce the problem to the solution of one Fredholm integral equation. This equation is solved exactly. The semi-permeable crack-face magneto-electric boundary conditions are utilized. Field intensity factors of stress, electric displacement, magnetic induction, crack displacement, electric and magnetic potentials, and the energy release rate are determined. The electric displacement and magnetic induction of crack interior are discussed. Strong coupling between stress and electric and magnetic field near the crack tips has been found.

    To overcome the challenges posed by increasing competition, many traditional manufacturing companies are moving from the mere production of manufacturing goods to the integration of services that are more or less integrated into the product, which is also due to the constant development of the industry. Moreover, many manufacturing companies offer products that use smart technologies. This paper focuses on the importance of smart service provision for cooperation and innovation flexibility, innovation performance and business performance in small and medium manufacturing companies. The paper aims to find out if smart service manufacturing providers are different in cooperation and innovation flexibility and innovation and business performance from non-smart service manufacturing providers. To better understand the issue, research was undertaken in 112 small and medium manufacturing companies of the Czech Republic. The problems of smart service provision were investigated in the first empirical research held among the electric engineering companies (CZ-NACE 26 and CZ-NACE 27) in the Czech Republic. The findings show that smart service manufacturing providers are better in internal cooperation flexibility, innovation flexibility related to product and to accompanying services and in business performance than non-smart service manufacturing providers. Theoretical implication contributes in two specific ways: first, in the presentation of the interconnection of smart services and cooperation flexibility, innovation flexibility, innovation performance and business performance; and second, in the identification of the impact of smart services in manufacturing SMEs and in finding out which areas affect the provision of smart services. The findings can have a positive influence in several areas; therefore, they can be important factors for many manufacturing companies which still need some persuasion to offer smart services.

    W analizie skutków zakłóceń mogących wystąpić w trakcie realizacji przedsięwzięcia budowlanego szczególną uwagę poświęcić należy nie tylko zakłóceniom procesów budowlanych, lecz także zakłóceniom dostaw materiałów na budowę. Na dwóch przykładach: budowy Trasy Mostu Północnego w Warszawie (kluczowe zakłócenie: wysoki stan wody rzeki Wisły) oraz wykonania sieci wodociągowej w terenie wiejskim (główny czynnik zakłócający: wysokie zwierciadło wody gruntowej), omówiono zakłócenia realizacji przedsięwzięcia, które znacznie skomplikowały wykonanie zadania, wydłużyły czas jego realizacji i zwiększyły koszty inwestycji. Zaproponowano działania umożliwiające ograniczenie wpływu zakłóceń na realizację procesów budowlanych poprzez wprowadzenie elastycznych strategii działania.
    In analysis of distortion causes that might arise during the implementation of a construction project, particular attention should be given to disruption of supply of material on the site. For two examples: building Trails North Bridge in Warsaw – Key Upset high water of the Vistula River and the execution of water supply in rural area – a major factor interfering: high ground water level) are discussed distortions of the project, which greatly complicated the work of the execution of tasks, lengthen turnaround time and increased investment costs. It proposes actions to reduce the impact of disturbances on the implementation of the construction process through the introduction of flexible logistics strategies.

    The formal models of physical systems are typically written in terms of differential equations. A transformation of the variables in a differential equation forms a symmetry group if it leaves the differential equation invariant. Symmetries of differential equations are very important for understanding of their properties. It can be said that the theory of Lie group symmetries of differential equations is general systematic method for finding solutions of differential equations. Despite of this fact, the Lie group theory is relatively unknown in engineering community. The paper is devoted to some important questions concerning this theory and for several equations resulting from the theory of elasticity their Lie group infinitesimal generators are given.

    The author of the article, using the analysis of the literature, presents the two perspectives of company’s agility – the strategic and the operational ones, and tries to make the compilation of them in order to obtain the highest effectives of the company’s performance. The article shows that on the strategic level an outwards-oriented attitude is required which involves scanning the environment and assessing the likely impact of the trends in a given industry, as well as the technological possibilities, competitive forces, market changes, and market segment dynamics. Referring to the literature the operational level agility refers to changes which occur within an organization, particularly with regard to the processes of manufacturing and innovation. Adopting an agile strategy involves a new type of activity - a transformation of internal operations. The practice shows that only the implementation of both presented perspectives of agility may lead the company to the outstanding results and ensure competitive advantage in the unstable market. The aim of this article is to identify the determinants for strategic agility and the operational agility of companies as well as attempting to combine the two areas in order to ensure the highest efficiency of enterprises.

    Opis:
    Considered the dynamic problem of the theory of elasticity for multilayered half-space. Boundary surface of inhomogeneous half-space loaded with normal load, and the boundaries of separation layers are in conditions of ideal mechanical contact. The formulation involves non-classical separation of equations of motion using two functions with a particular mechanical meaning volumetric expansion and function of acceleration of the shift. In terms of these functions obtained two wave equation, written boundary conditions and the conditions of ideal mechanical contact of layers. Using the Laguerre and Fourier integral transformations was obtained the solution of the formulated problem. The results of the calculation of the stress-strain state in the half-space with a coating for a local impact loading are presented.
