W artykule przedstawiono analizę czynników społeczno-gospodarczych kształtujących rozwój priorytetów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Wykazano, że przy tworzeniu programów rozwoju regionalnego należy wziąć pod uwagę zarówno aktualny stan problemów środowiskowych, jak i zagrożeń technologicznych. Udzielenie finansowego wsparcia dla działań ekologicznych, towarzyszących procesom technologicznym przyczyni się do zrównoważonego rozwoju.
This article presents an analysis of the socio-economic factors shaping the priorities sustainable development. Consider financial support for environmental activities with the main technological factors that determine the environment in Ukraine. It is shown that the formation of regional development programs should take into account the actual state of environmental problems, technological risks and the need for their prevention and minimization. Provide targeted funding for these programs will contribute to sustainable development.

Ogłoszona w 2005 r. przez Dyrektora Generalnego UNESCO Koichiro Matsuurę Dekada Edukacji dla Zrównoważonego Rozwoju zakłada zapewnienie każdej jednostce ludzkiej możliwości zdobywania wiedzy i umiejętności zgodnie z jej indywidualnymi zdolnościami i potrzebami. Fundament tak pojętej edukacji opiera się na równoważeniu sfer ekonomicznej, społecznej i ekologicznej. W artykule analizie zostały poddane m.in.: nowa podstawa programowa kształcenia ogólnego oraz rezultaty wdrażania edukacji dla zrównoważonego rozwoju, opracowane na podstawie monitoringu i badań ewaluacyjnych mid term przeprowadzonych przez UNESCO, jak również wybrane działania drugiej połowy Dekady. Słowa kluczowe: zrównoważony rozwój, edukacja dla zrównoważonego rozwoju (EZR), Dekada Edukacji dla Zrównoważonego Rozwoju (DEZR).
Launched in 2005 by General Director of UNESCO Koichiro Matsuura Decade of Education for Sustainable Development offers to every human an individual opportunity of gaining knowledge and skills in accordance to their individual abilities and needs. A foundation of such conceived education is based on the sustaining the economic, social and ecological areas. The report will discuss the new core curriculum of general education and the results of introducing education for sustainable development, worked out on the basis of monitoring and mid-term evaluation researches carried out by UNESCO, as well as the actions taken in the second half of Decade.

W artykule przedstawiono zastosowanie metody AHP (Analitycznego Procesu Hierarchicznego) jako narzędzia do wspomagania oceny kopalni wchodzącej w skład przedsiębiorstwa górniczego, zgodnie z zasadami równoważnego rozwoju. Przedstawiona ocena kopalni jest oceną wielokryterialną, uwzględniającą różne aspekty funkcjonowania kopalni pod kątem realizacji strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Pojawiająca się struktura ma charakter hierarchiczny, co w naturalny sposób wskazuje na możliwość zastosowania metody AHP. AHP pozwala na ustalenie rankingu kopalń, a co za tym idzie – ich ocenę.
The article presents the application of AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) as a tool to support the assessment of the mine which is part of a mining enterprise in accordance with the equivalent of development. This assessment of the mine is a multi-criteria assessment which takes into account various aspects of mine, at an angle of sustainable development strategy. The emerging structure is hierarchical, which naturally suggests the possibility of the use of AHP method. AHP allows you to determine the ranking of mines and what is behind this assessment.

In modern, globalized knowledge society, the role of the teacher, his task and challenges are changing. Therefore, one of the priority aims of the education is to support the harmonious development of pupils – by properly planned and implemented didactic process. The following considerations are the result of exploratory research. The research was an attempt to answer the question: To what extent do the teachers support the harmonious development of their students in the didactic process? The conclusions drawn from the analysis of the results have become the basis for appropriate recommendations.

W ciągu ostatnich dziesięciu lat badania w obszarze zrównoważonego rozwoju były poświęcone interdependencjom występującym z jednej strony między zrównoważonym rozwojem a aspektami kulturowymi (w odniesieniu do wymagań, wzajemnych zależności, kompatybilności, treści zawartych w zachowaniach oraz treści edukacyjnych), z drugiej między zrównoważonym rozwojem a techniką. Stwarza to możliwości (1) różnicowania zrównoważoności kulturowej w różnych perspektywach (np. regionalnej), (2) wyeksplikowania znaczenia techniki dla zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz (3) sprowadzenia wzajemnych związków między zrównoważonym rozwojem, kulturą i techniką do jednego, multidyscyplinarnego, całościowego spojrzenia. Należy przy tym pamiętać jednak o tym, że „kultura”, podobnie jak „technika” to pojęcia używane uniwersalnie i wieloznacznie. W interesujących tutaj związkach „kultura” oznacza „wzorce” i „praktyki” (poznania, zachowania, komunikacji, konsumpcji, produkcji, …), a „technika” – systemy socjo-techniczne, w kontekstach związanych z wytwarzaniem i użytkowaniem. Zatem, należy omówić triadę: zrównoważony rozwój – kultura – technika.
During the past decade research in the field of Sustainable Development (SD) has taken more and more attention to the interdependences between SD and culture (in terms of requirements, linkages, connectivity, behavioural and educational content) at the one hand and between SD and technology at the other hand. This offers the chances (i) to differ “cultural sustainability” from related perspectives (i.e. a regional one!), (ii) to clear the importance of technology for SD, and (iii) to look closer to these interdependencies of SD, technology and culture in a multidisciplinary “overall view”. But: “Culture” and “technology” are fuzzy terms. In the discussed relationships culture means “patterns of” and “practices of” (perception, behaviour, communication, consumption, production, …), technology means sociotechnical systems in contexts of designing/production and using. So we must discuss a “triple”: SD – culture – technology.

Początkowe rozważania poświęcono krótkiemu omówieniu podstawowych zagadnień związanych ze zrównoważonym rozwojem przedsiębiorstwa, następnie przedstawiono rolę rozwiązań informatycznych jako elementu jego wsparcia. Końcowe rozważania zawierają próbę wkomponowania IT w strategię zrównoważonego rozwoju organizacji
Sustainable enterprise development defines quantitative and qualitative changes aimed at coincidence implementation of economic, social and environmental goals. It requires a long-term approach to managing the organization and the use of appropriate tools, technologies and equipment. An important element of the sustainable development at enterprise level are modern information technologies that affect the efficiency of enterprises and enable the implementation of pro-ecological innovations. Initial considerations are devoted to a brief discussion of the basic issues related to sustainable development at enterprise level, then the role of IT solutions for enterprise development. The final considerations include an attempt to integrate IT into the organization's sustainable development strategy.

Misją szkolnictwa wyższego powinno być przygotowanie absolwentów świadomych współczesnych wyzwań cywilizacyjnych (takich jak zagrożenie różnorodności biologicznej czy wyczerpywanie się zasobów naturalnych) i sposobów ich rozwiązywania, a także szerzenie stosownej wiedzy w społeczeństwie. Takie też były cele powołania na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim już w 1989 r. Uniwersyteckiego Centrum Badań nad Środowiskiem Przyrod-niczym i Zrównoważonym Rozwojem (UCBS). To interdyscyplinarna jednostka prowadząca programy badawcze i edukację, nastawione na upowszechnianie zasad i praktyki zrównoważonego rozwoju, zarówno w środowisku akademickim, jak i w otoczeniu zewnętrznym. Przykład różnorodnych aktywności UCBS będzie służył dyskusji nad możliwościami udziału szkolnictwa wyższego w realizacji Celów Zrównoważonego Rozwoju 2016-2030.
The key mission of institutions involved in higher education is to ensure that students graduate with an awareness of the problems human civilisation faces, (not least the loss of biological diversity and shortage of natural resources) and ways of resolving that problem, as well as means by which knowledge in this field can be disseminated through society more widely. It was with such aims in mind that the University of Warsaw – decided as early as in 1989 to found a University Centre for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development (UCBS). Continuing in operation today, this is an inter-disciplinary unit which seeks to better acquaint people with the concept of sustainable development by way of programmes targeted at both the academic community and the wider public extramurally. The case study of UCBS activity will serve for broader discussion on the contribution of higher education towards achieving the Sustainability Goals 2016-2030.

The question of values more and more often constitutes a point of departure in deliberations on the practice of sustainable development. Some propositions have been developed for the axiological system of sustainable development. They are structurally complex since they incorporate defined levels of values Implementation of a given axiological system can, in turn, be secured by properly planned management. This management can be defined as the management socially important values that are part of the widely understood social management. The article will show the role of sustainable development axiology in the context of the crisis of morality. In addition, there will be a question of value, including socially important values, especially in the systematic management of sustainable development.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of the article is to present the issues of cultural values of modern Europe in reference to their ancient sources (Plato, Aristotle), as well as to indicate correlations between the value of European culture and the axiology of sustainable development. Design/methodology/approach: The article is based on a critical analysis of the literature on the subject. It presents in detail the issues of justice and responsibility, indicating Europe as a "community of responsibility". Justice is considered as a moral, legal and economic value, taking into account the generation and intergenerational perspective, as well as community and individual value. Responsibility, as in the case of justice, is shown in relation to the present and future generations. The subject and object of responsibility were defined and the main relational references of this moral and legal value were characterized. The article also refers to the basic documents constituting the concept of sustainable development. Findings: The analysis of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development showed that in the concept, it can be seen that justice and responsibility are two basic values that are mutually conditioning and constitute the basis for the actual implementation of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development, improvement of people's quality of life and ensuring security in its various dimensions. Originality/value: The article is addressed to a wide range of readers who deal with the practical implementation of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development. The article can also provide a didactic background for teaching social subjects and humanities. There is an original approach to ethical values in the context of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development.

Autor spróbował zbadać, czy jest to jedynie zabieg przynależny do obszaru marketingu politycznego, czy też realizacja koncepcji osadzonej na gruncie zrównoważonego rozwoju i wynikająca z potrzeb społeczności lokalnych.
In the article will discuss development challenges of polish towns related to enlarging their borders. Author in the research observed that an often changing borders projects were identified in space as a PR associated with sustainable development. Author would like to investigate if it is only treatment belonging to the area of political marketing, or implementation of the concept deposited on the basis of sustainable development and consequent the local communities needs.

Promoting the idea of sustainable development is a result of an intellectual effort of representatives from various fields of science, who see the need for shaping development in a more conscious manner and taking into account the natural limitations of the Earth. Despite more than thirty years of experience, still efficient methods of action for sustainable development are being sought. It is associated with the institutionalization of the idea and introduction of instruments for its practical implementation in management. Sustainable public procurements (SPP) are an example of such instrument. In the paper, based on research conducted and literature studies, theoretical and practical aspects of implementation of SPP are analyzed in detail. The study shows, that despite the introduction of legal regulations in this area, the use of SPP so far has not become an effective instrument for the implementation of sustainable development. However, observed progress has given hope for improvement of the situation in the future.
Popularyzacja idei zrównoważonego rozwoju jest efektem intelektualnego wysiłku reprezentantów różnych dziedzin nauki, którzy dostrzegają potrzebę kształtowania rozwoju w sposób bardziej świadomy i uwzględniający przyrodnicze ograniczenia Ziemi. Pomimo ponad trzydziestu lat doświadczeń wciąż poszukuje się metod skutecznego działania na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju. Jest to związane z instytucjonalizacją idei i wprowadzaniem instrumentów jej praktycznej implementacji do zarządzania. Przykładem takiego instrumentu są zrównoważone zamówienia publiczne (ZZP). W artykule na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań i studiów literatury są analizowane teoretyczne i praktyczne aspekty stosowania ZZP. Badania wykazują, że pomimo wprowadzenia w tym zakresie regulacji prawnych stosowanie ZZP jak dotąd nie stało się skutecznym instrumentem wdrażania zrównoważonego rozwoju. Jednak obserwowany postęp daje nadzieję na poprawę sytuacji w przyszłości.

Introduction/background: It is highly probable that the criteria for assessing the implementation of public projects as successful will be different, depending on the point of view of the representatives of individual groups of stakeholders. In the paper, we present, after a brief introduction to the problems of design and the specifics of public projects, the results of surveys conducted among representatives of local governments, representatives of local communities (city citizens) and representatives of people professionally involved in project management. Aim of the paper: The aim of the paper is to capture the criteria and conditions for the success of public projects common to various groups of stakeholders. Materials and methods: Surveys were used as the research method and the questionnaire contained two open-ended questions. The research took the form of a direct interview. The analysis was performed using cross tables and a weighted average. Results and conclusions: Research results indicate that criteria and conditions common to all groups of stakeholders exist and the most important are the fulfillment of basic project parameters (time, quality, costs) as a success criterion, and reliable examination/identification of the residents' needs (social consultations) as a condition for success.

Celem zrównoważonych łańcuchów dostaw jest tworzenie, ochrona i długofalowy rozwój wartości ekonomicznej, społecznej i środowiskowej dla wszystkich interesariuszy zaangażowanych w proces dostaw. Uprzednie badania dotyczące integrowania łańcucha dostaw nie uwzględniały problematyki rozwoju zrównoważonego, a jedynie odnosiły się do tradycyjnych łańcuchów dostaw. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie koncepcyjnych podstaw integrowania zrównoważonych łańcuchów dostaw.
Creating, the protection and the long-term development of the social and environmental economic value are the purpose of sustainable supply chains. Prior research concerning the integration in supply chain didn't consider issues of the sustainable development, but only referred to traditional supply chains. The conceptual bases of integrating sustainable supply chains are presented in the article.
