    This article deals with the problem of new threats that appear in areas that have not been affected by them so far. The considerations concern asymmetric threats and the railway system. The analysis of this issue was carried out on the basis of general information on the problem of asymmetric threats and the knowledge of the railway system, its operation and identified threats that can be attributed to the characteristics of asymmetric threats. The aim of the article is to draw attention to new phenomena that are beginning to affect transport on a global basis, including rail transport.

    Artykuł składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza, teoretyczna, zawiera uwarunkowania funkcjonowania logistyki podmiotu bezpieczeństwa, w kontekście zagrożeń mogących wpłynąć na przebieg strumienia rzeczowego i informacji. Zagrożenia zostały zidentyfikowane i sklasyfikowane w różnych konfiguracjach i zależnościach. Druga część artykułu, oparta na badaniach przeprowadzonych w 94 firmach (4 mikro, 24 małych, 29 średnich, 35 dużych), dotyczy oceny bezpieczeństwa systemów logistycznych.
    The article consists of two parts. The first – theoretical, describes conditioning of logistics functioning of the safety entity in the context of the risks that may affect the course of the flow of material and information. Risks are identified and classified into different configurations and dependencies. The second part of the article, based on research carried out in 94 companies (4 micro, 24 small, 29 medium, 35 large), concerns the safety assessment of logistics systems.

    During the last decades, maritime security has always stood as a separate critical problem for both shipowners and crews of sea-going ships, characterized by alternating periods of relative stability and periods of occurrence and growth of new threats, which proceeded from times of sailing fleet to an epoch of iron steam shipbuilding. Certainly, it is difficult to overestimate the significant role of the scientific community, which has been researching this problem for a long time, studying its scientific and practical sides. The professional experience of seafarers in sufficient measure, served as a basis of interest to this question, has led to the development of strategies and complex measures, which until now provided safety for ships and their crewmembers. Without recent advances in maritime security, shipping as an industry would not be able to reach the current level of reliability in shipping processes. Each generation of humanity has prioritized maritime security, contributing to improving its standards and stressing the importance of continuous development of the theoretical base. At least 23 million tons of cargo and 55,000 passengers move daily by water transport, so the concept of maritime safety applies not only to the safety of life at sea, ship and cargo security but also to the prevention of maritime accidents and pollution. The increasing share of sea and river transport in the international cargo and passenger turnover leads to the need to increase demands on maritime safety and security.

    Following the events related to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, increasing air traffic also increases turnaround agents' activity at airports. Turnaround operations are among the critical activities performed at airports, which must be characterized by punctuality and accuracy of the elementary handling operations. Lack of punctuality in ground handling causes delays in air traffic. On the other hand, a lack of accuracy can also cause disruptions that can turn into aviation incidents. Achieving punctuality and accuracy in aircraft handling is possible by minimizing the resulting disruptions during such handling. The safety management system (SMS) assumes activities to reduce the causes of potential incidents. In the turnaround process, the human factor, the technical aspect, and compliance with existing procedures are significant. The authors have extensively analyzed the disruptions arising during ground handling, learning its causes and effects, which will help avoid adverse events. Occurring disruptions can cause delays in the execution of flight operations but can also cause aviation incidents. Therefore, the authors focused on ground-handling disruptions that can cause adverse aviation incidents. The article presents the interference analysis results as an Ishikawa diagram. Using the FRAM method, an analysis of possible disruptions during the baggage handling process was carried out.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The aim of the article is to present the safety and health risks in the production process of bread, supported by research in small bakeries located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Design/methodology/approach: The literature research and the critical analysis of both,the national and foreign subject literature have been used as the research methodology. Findings: Health safety of bread is one of the features that decide its quality. This paper additionally presents other determinants influencing the quality of bread. It also demonstrates opinions showing food safety as a separate attribute of quality. The paper cites Polish domestic and EU legislation in the areas of food safety, as well as competences of sanitary inspection bodies. The major part of the paper is devoted to the identification of types and potential sources of health threats in the production process of bread and the prevailing prevention system, i.e. HACCP. The research on the structure of the bread and the level of implementation of HACCP was performed in Pomeranian small bakeries, which form 89.4% of the overall Pomeranian bakeries. Practical implications: Practical implications include taking into account the indicated determinants that affect the quality of bread will be an important solution in making a number of decisions by managers and bakery owners in terms of strategic use of them. Originality/value: Proper implementation of the principles of bread health safety as one of the features that determine the quality of the product, as well as the determination of other determinants that affect the quality of bread, allows to build and maintain a long-term competitive advantage in small bakeries in the bakery industry. Natural identification of the types and potential sources of health risks in the bakery production process and the applicable systems of counteracting these risks, e.g. HACCP, will have a major impact on the long-term process of innovative management of managers and owners of small bakeries

    Opis:
    This paper presents the results of studies on the determination of an aircraft’s trajectory and positioning accuracy. The PPP method was applied to determine the aircraft’s position in kinematic mode for code observations in the GPS system. Computations were executed in the “PPP_KINEMTIC” software, whose source code was written using the Scilab 5.3.2 platform. The PPP_KINEMTIC software allows for the latitude coordinate to be estimated with accuracy between 1 and 6 m, the longitude coordinate to be estimated with accuracy between 0.5 and 2.5 m, and the ellipsoidal height to be estimated with accuracy between 1 and 7 m. The average value of the MRSE term equals 5 m with a magnitude between 1 and 8.5 m. In the paper, general libraries of the PPP_KINEMTIC application were presented and the PPP method was characterized too.
