Opis:
One of the quality indicators of the transport service in passenger transport is the regularity of the movement of vehicles. Apart from the planned traffic intervals, it depends on a number of factors related to the traffic conditions of the public transport in the locality (intensity and composition of the traffic flow, passenger traffic structure, traffic lights regime, atmospheric conditions, etc.). The paper assesses the regularity of mass urban passenger transport traffic in the conditions of the city of Ruse, Bulgaria, by probing the estimation of the arrival intervals of the means of transport at the stops along a given route.

Opis:
Routes of bus or tram lines have often common passages with non negligible length. It is desirable that the time intervals between subsequent departure times of trips of all lines on such a common passage are distributed as equally as possible. This paper studies coordination problem on an isolated common passage and also more complicated coordination problem in transportation network.
Trasy autobusów lub tramwajów mają często wspólne fragmenty przejazdu o nieznikomej długości. Pożądane jest, by odstępy czasowe pomiędzy kolejnymi czasami odjazdów wszystkich linii takiego wspólnego przejazdu były rozmieszczone tak równo, jak jest to tylko możliwe. Artykuł przedstawia problem koordynacji na pojedynczym wspólnym przejeździe, a także bardziej złożone zagadnienie koordynacji w sieci transportowej.

The work presents a methodology that allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of the system in accordance with accepted standards in terms of the three components of the “passenger–carrier–department” system, taking into account the interests of each side. The given comprehensive effectiveness evaluation of the urban public passenger transport system shows that a new scientific idea consists in forming fundamentally new sets of indicators for each participant of the system (passenger–carrier–department of transport) that correspond to the conditions of functioning of the urban passenger transport system in Russian Federation. The article presents a classification model for the formation of a basic system of indicators and a functional scheme for grouping and ranking them. The effectiveness of the urban public passenger transport system can be considered separately for each participant in the system from its side, in two directions: horizontal (by year, for example, for an enterprise) and vertical (in the current period for all participants).

Opis:
Main requirements for rolling stock design and organization of the operating system are determined by membership in a certain transportation category for which such a transportation facility is designated. Thus, a specific feature of rolling stock operation is considered to the maximum extent, and functional correspondence with stated tasks is ensured. The significant disadvantage of the existing structure of rolling stock traffic is the necessity of time-space agreements of passenger traffic due to the necessity of shifting different transport types with the minimum time consumption. The solution to such an issue can be found in the development and use of a universal (multifunctional) integrated transport system. The list of issues arising during the creation of a multifunctional transport system can be funnelled into two groups: social and economic and organizational and technical. The first group is social and economic and shall conceptually solve issues of the multifunctional system feasibility for certain urban settlement conditions (conglomerate of urban settlements). The second group consists of organizational and technical issues. This study proposes to eliminate certain material issues in the sphere of suburban and urban traffic by the infrastructure improvement with the significant traffic increase and fluctuations.

Opis:
For this study, an analysis of a system of transport nodes of the railway and bus service transportation was carried out. A principal scheme of a transport node in typical cities for Bulgaria and a sample flow chart are presented. The categories of basic requirements for transport nodes in cities are also defined. On the basis of a railway system and bus transport nodes in the city of Ruse, Bulgaria, research on the interaction of the system with the mass urban passenger transport has been conducted. As a result, a mathematical model is proposed for the average daily inbound flows of passengers to a specific passenger stop, and a specific route has been modelled to be used as a server. An assessment of the daily irregularity on this route has been performed and a system has been modelled as a system of mass service for assessing the capacity and organization of work. The incoming passenger flows and the speed of passenger service have also been defined as a non-stationary Poisson flow. Under the conditions of non-stationarity flows, the basic values of the system parameters have been calculated and an application has been created in the MatLab platform. For a model of the system of mass service, the system of the differential-algebraic equations Kolmogorov/Erlangen for stochastic processes has been selected.

Opis:
Designation of places for public transport stops is a key component of research on their accessibility. However, further research is needed to solve the problem with organization of public transport stops. This paper provides the results of an priori ranking analysis aimed at defining the most significant factors affecting the accessibility of stops and their scope. The proposed mathematical model, which uses dimensional theory, consists of two stages: pedestrians’ movement to a stop and passengers’ trip to a transit stop. It is a theoretical premise that allows to determination of placement of public transport stops considering the main indicators, which are the distance covered by pedestrians and the speed of public transport.

The paper dwells on developing the measures required for the effective functioning of urban bus routes, which are of great practical importance. As the analysis shows that in order to effectively organize urban passenger traffic and determine their optimal number on the routes, it is necessary to determine the pattern of changes in passenger flows, and on this basis, to distribute the number of buses in accordance with day–night hours. Based on this, an analysis of factors has been carried out affecting urban bus transport, and we have developed the measures aiming at increasing the effectiveness of passenger transport in transport companies.
