Różne są oczekiwania poszczególnych uczestników rynku, wszyscy jednak oczekują efektywnego wsparcia informatycznego. Rozwój branż wymaga zróżnicowanych narzędzi. W usługach istotne są aplikacje wspierające obsługę klienta, a w przemyśle systemy zapewniające realizację procesów podstawowych. Korzystne dla podmiotu są rozwiązania dedykowane (IRI), które odpowiadając na rozpoznane potrzeby, umożliwiają sprawną organizację wymiany informacji. Ma to zapewnić podmiotowi efektywną obsługę końcowego odbiorcy.
The work discusses the issue of shaping the organizational space as a response to changes resulting from market trends. Developmental stimuli are innovations, including digitalization, which is a consequence of R & D & I cooperation. Information systems are to provide a competitive advantage in both industry and services. The implementation of support in the field of information exchange with IT solutions requires organizational changes. These solutions, encompassing the entirety of the IT problem supporting the functioning of the entity, should take into account its specificity. The expectations of individual market participants are different. However, everyone expects effective IT support. The development requires various tools. In the services are important applications supporting customer service. In industry are important systems that ensure the supporting of basic processes. Beneficial for the entity are dedicated solutions (IRI) that respond to identified needs, enable efficient organization of information exchange. This is to provide the entity with effective service to the final recipient.

The information and marketing sector are being viewed as one of the most promising areas of the new economy.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono problematykę oceny wartości informacji przekazywanych w postaci komunikatów. Do analizy wykorzystano jedną z metod wielokryterialnej analizy porównawczej. Przedstawiona analiza ma wymierne znaczenie w procesie decyzyjnym, przy istotnym ograniczeniu czasowym. Analiza została poparta przykładem, w którym rozważono grupę komunikatów scharakteryzo-wanych poprzez zbiór cech o charakterze ilościowo-jakościowym. Zaprezentowana metoda oceny informacji może znaleźć praktyczne zastosowanie w procesie decyzyjnym w ramach zarządzania kryzysowego w sytuacjach nadzwyczajnych.
The article gives the issue of assessment of the value of the information to be provided in the form of messages. Analysis of information is made by using one of the methods of comparative analysis. Significant reduction in time has an impact on the result of analyses. The analysis was supported by an example of an academic, in which a group of messages describes by a set of characteristic of a quantity-quality. The method used to analyze information can find practical application in the decision-making process in the framework of crisis management in emergency situations.

The essence of strategic management is to ensure the security of the state in the strategic horizon. The security strategy of the state must ensure its development through the classic sound management means a conscious and intentional use of different methods and techniques that affect the decisions taken by institutions and government organizations. Information playing the role of an independent factor in the environment, the security of the state, gradually become a major element of any conflict. Information impact on the ability of management in its actions, reduce or increase the possibilities.

Opis:
The transport of goods and persons with two or more transport carriers (road, rail, air, inland waterway, or sea) results in multipartite transport chains whose profitability depends on the cost-effectiveness of the transport carriers involved as well as on the capability of multimodal transport management. Currently, differences with regard to the technical equipment used and infrastructural facilities available as well as administrative and public organizational structures in place are the major obstacles to comprehensive multimodal transport management within and beyond European Union borders. Though information and communication technologies (ICT) have entered into all traffic and transport systems, the levels of ICT penetration achieved in controlling, monitoring, and managing of system operation and processes are currently quite different [1-5]. One of the reasons for that is the lack of homogenous ICT standards and, as a result, the technological barriers for interconnectivity between different systems, processes, applications, and stakeholders [2]. The proposed trajectory-based concept is considered as suitable approach to perform the smart and adaptable planning, operation, and management of systems with dissimilar structures, a wide diversity of actors, and distributed responsibilities. It is therefore expected that it will be especially well suited to facilitate multimodal transport management for future Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Based on the “transport trajectory” formulation introduced here, it will be shown that a trajectory-based status description is generally possible for all transport-relevant components and processes. The expected benefit of the trajectory-based transport management is illustrated by means of selected transportation scenarios.

Na podstawie badań, które objęły 15 polskich kopalń węgla kamiennego, ustalono uwarunkowania i czynniki determinujące poprawność przeprowadzonych analiz poziomu zatrudnienia w tych kopalniach
In the paper the experiences resulting from the application of the System Supporting Employment Level Planning in human resource management in selected collieries were presented. The author discussed the functional scope of the information system SWPPZ and the analysis procedure of the employment level in a colliery. Based on research undertaken in 15 Polish coal mines specified conditions and factors determining correctness of the analyses of the employment level were discussed.

The paper presents an example of risk-based security as a chosen effect of changes in one of the paradigms of computer science as a scientific discipline.

Opis:
Purpose: The presentation of measures taken within the Polish city with poviat rights, which is Zabrze, to mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, secure the functioning of local administration structures and ensure the work of institutions and companies subordinate to local government in the light of the pandemic in 2020. Methodology: The process of involvement of municipal entities in the activities of government anti-crisis services, the specificity of performing tasks for the benefit of the local community and taking initiatives to mitigate the effects of the pandemic in particular segments of the inhabitants' life activity was shown. Findings: The implemented management procedures for the planning and coordination of measures to reduce the negative social and economic effects caused by coronavirus were presented. Practical implications: The record and analysis of the measures taken by the local government administration together with its subordinate entities in the event of a crisis may serve to optimise planning activities in case of a similar threat. Exceptionality: The activity of individual entities, institutions and services was a reaction to an exceptional epidemic situation, which affected all spheres of social and economic life, and therefore required a conscious crisis management.

Purpose: The article attempts to determine what contemporary globalization is and what opportunities and threats this process creates (in terms of global threats to enterprise information systems). Design/methodology/approach: The management of information security and counteracting cyber-attacks is an important aspect of the functioning of enterprises in the 21st century. In this sense, this article will analyse the threats resulting from the dynamic development of information technology, based on the results of research conducted on a sample of Polish enterprises. Findings: This publication is an attempt to identify the basic threats resulting from the fact that the organization operates in a digitized global reality. Research limitations/implications: It seems that the threats mentioned in the article will be gaining momentum and will be evaluated in the unpredictable today direction. Social implications: The 21st century brought a completely new look at the processes of globalization and management of a modern enterprise. It turns out that information has become the basic tool of competitive struggle in the global market. For this reason, the management of information security and counteracting cyber-attacks is an important aspect of the functioning of enterprises in the 21st century. Originality/value: The article addresses current problems of cyberspace security in the context of globalization. It can be useful for company managers as well as for conducting research in this field.

Celem artykułu było określenie poziomu ryzyka techniczno-informacyjnego oraz produkcyjnego na podstawie opinii przedsiębiorców oraz zidentyfikowanie zależności pomiędzy odczuwaniem siły oddziaływania poszczególnych ryzyk a stopniem powiązania zarządzania ryzykiem ze strategią przedsiębiorstw. Artykuł opiera się o badania własne przeprowadzone na grupie 150 MSP w Polsce w 2016 r.
Risk management should be a key element of the strategic management of any organization, regardless of its size. It increases the probability of success of the organization and achieving the objectives. The aim of the article was to determine the level of technical information and production risk based on the opinions of entrepreneurs, and to identify the relationship between the perception of the impact of individual risks and the degree of linking risk management with the enterprise strategy. Article is based on own research, conducted among 150 SMEs in Poland in 2016.

Opis:
Purpose: The aim of this article is to present the process of information processing as an element correlated with effective management. The authors have already quoted the information hierarchy in their own published papers a few times. This paper is a kind of systematization of knowledge concerning the process of information processing in terms of making strategic decisions and resources management. Design/methodology/approach: In the paper the critical analysis of literature was carried out and the theoretical basis concerning the information hierarchy and the OODA loop was presented. The field of this paper concerns information processing in the context of management and decision supporting. Findings: In each of the discussed literature references, the authors identified information hierarchy along with OODA loop. It allowed us to achieve the aim which was defined earlier, namely, to show information processing as an element correlated with effective management. Research limitations/implications: In the paper a few examples were analysed. Therefore, the next step in the future research should be to focus at the review of a bigger amount of them. Originality/value: The paper shows that the information hierarchy could be used unconsciously in decision process. The authors showed how to detect the information hierarchy in a management process. The paper should be read by persons whose research interests are focused on the decision support by the information and communication technologies.

Introduction/background: As a result of ICT development a growing number of consumers use the Internet as a principal source of information on the relationship between good nutrition and health. This in turn provides a basis for taking purchase decisions. The research presented in this paper focuses on the act of selecting sources of consumer information to facilitate the process of purchase decision-making. The literature on this subject consists of extensive reviews on food items but lacks research on proper nutrition. Aim of the paper: This paper is aimed at analyzing the sources of consumer information on proper nutrition. The research involved identifying the most frequently used sources of consumer knowledge on healthy foods and examining the correlation between the sources selected by respondents and their level of knowledge. Materials and methods: The research data were obtained by means of online questionnaires sent out to 240 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The study was carried out in the last quarter of 2019. The following statistical methods for data analysis were applied in this study: contingency tables, multiple response tables, the Chi-square test of independence and the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Results and conclusions: The results of the analysis revealed that websites run by experts represent the most popular channel for communicating with consumers, and as invaluable sources of knowledge on healthy eating. The conclusions derived from applied research provide guidelines on marketing communications strategy for healthy food producers.

This article attempts to identify demand for- and sources of information useful for management of anthropogenically transformed sites. It also discusses development of information systems in terms of managing these sites, especially by mining communities.
