    Celem głównym niniejszego artykułu jest omówienie barier i trudności występujących podczas wdrażania i funkcjonowania Europejskiego Systemu Ekozarządzania i Audytu (EMAS) w przedsiębiorstwach branży piwowarskiej w Niemczech. W artykule została podjęta również próba klasyfikacji występujących barier. Cel główny został zrealizowany na podstawie analizy danych pierwotnych pochodzących z badań ankietowych, przeprowadzonych w przedsiębiorstwach branży piwowarskiej w Niemczech oraz analizy publikowanych przez nie deklaracji środowiskowych. Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że w trakcie wdrażania i utrzymywania EMAS występują bariery o charakterze technologicznym, finansowym i organizacyjnym.
    The main aim of this article is to talk over the barriers and difficulties encountered during the implementation and functioning of the European Eco-Management System (EMAS) in enterprises of the brewing industry in Germany. The article also made an attempt to present the classification of barriers. The main aim was realized based on the analysis of primary data from surveys carried out in enterprises of the brewing industry in Germany and analysis published their environmental statements. The analysis shows that during the implementation and maintenance of EMAS exist technological, financial and organizational barriers.

    W artykule zaproponowano zastosowanie techniki oceny cyklu życia LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) do wspomagania Systemu Zarządzania Środowiskowego (SZŚ). Technika LCA umożliwia w sposób kwantytatywny dokonanie oceny potencjalnych obciążeń środowiskowych zarówno dla kopalni, jak i procesów produkcji górniczej, dzięki czemu może stanowić istotny element zarówno do doskonalenia Systemu Zarządzania Środowiskowego (SZŚ) (zgodnie z wytycznymi nowej normy ISO 14001:2015), jak i do wspomagania zarządzania środowiskiem w przedsiębiorstwach górniczych.
    The paper proposes the application of life cycle assessment to support the Environmental Management System (EMS). The LCA enables the quantitative assess the potential environmental impacts for the mining enterprises and production processes, so it can be an important element both for the improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) (in accordance with the guidelines of the new ISO 14001:2015) and to support environmental management in the mining enterprises.

    Celem publikacji była analiza normy PN-EN ISO 50001:2012 jako kompleksowego narzędzia systemu zarządzania energią w organizacjach. Standard ten dostarcza wskazówek celowości integracji efektywności energetycznej z dotychczasowymi praktykami zarządzania, wymogami środowiskowymi oraz prawnymi państw członkowskich. Ponadto wprowadza zasadę ciągłego doskonalenia procesu zarządzania energią na bazie cyklu PDCA. Zastosowana metoda badawcza to przegląd dostępnej literatury przedmiotu.
    The aim of this publication was the analyze of the standard PN-EN ISO 50001:2012 as a comprehensive energy management system tool for organizations. This standard provides guidance the advisability of integrating energy efficiency with existing management practices, environmental requirements and the law of the Member States. In addition, it introduces the principle of continuous improvement of energy management process based on PDCA cycle. The test method used is a review of the available literature on the subject.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The aim of the paper is to analyze relations between the implementation of industry management systems in European Union countries. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis. Analysis of statistic data about: quality management system (ISO 9001:2015), environmental management system (ISO 14001:2015) and occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001:2018) in European Union countries. Findings: The publication focuses on the analysis of quantitative relations between the industry standards that make up the integrated management system. The analysis of data concerning the number of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 certificates implemented in the European Union countries allows to conclude that there are correlations between the number of implemented particular standards. In particular, the presence of a standard concerning the quality management system ISO 9001 is positively correlated with all other analyzed certified management systems. The results of the analysis support the H1 hypothesis, which says: the presence of other industry management systems is positively correlated with the presence of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system in organizations. Originality/value: In the paper we found that in most European Union countries, implementation of particular standards, especially ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, is strongly correlated.

    Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to investigate the linear correlation relationship between the deployment of five certified management systems (ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 45001:2018) in organizations operating within the European Union. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis. Analysis of secondary sources - data about number of certifications (ISO 9001; ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, ISO 27001) in EU countries in 2018. Findings: The publication focuses on the analysis of quantitative relations between the industry standards that make up the integrated management system. The focus was on the three most common systems: quality management system (ISO 9001:2015), environmental management system (ISO 14001:2015) and occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001:2018). In addition, the analysis took into account two systems often occurring as a component of integrated systems: ISO 27001:2013 information security management system and ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system, which are industry standards that make up the integrated management system. Originality/value: Detailed analysis of relations between numbers of main ISO certificates in EU countries.

    Introduction/background: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed many conditions for the functioning of local government units. This also applies to the sphere related to the spatial management system. Both formal and informal institutions play an important role in this system. The circumstances related to the pandemic give rise to the question of the scope of necessary modifications. Of course, the point is not to forcibly change most of the provisions (which, moreover, already required at least a fragmentary amendment) or impose new practices from above (the more so as such actions would only be effective to a limited extent). Aim of the paper: The aim of the article is to determine – on the basis of theses and conclusions made in literature on the subject covering various countries – the key directions of changes in the Polish spatial management system in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic (and its consequences). Materials and methods: The optimal scope of changes in the Polish spatial management system in relation to the pandemic was determined (treating statutory changes separately and changes related to planning practice separately), as well as their connection with the previously presented concepts of integrated development policy and flexibility in planning. In the face of the diagnosed challenges, the optimal directions for further discussion and possible directions of changes in regulations concerning the spatial management system were indicated. Results and conclusions: The issues associated with the pandemic further expose a number of previously diagnosed spatial planning problems. At the same time, they allow for a more precise orientation of both the optimal directions of legal (and informal) changes, as well as further scientific discussion. It should be noted that at this stage, we rely, to a large extent, on more general diagnoses.
