    Artykuł prezentuje wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące systemów magazynowania związane z logistyką produkcji. Zostały tu przedyskutowane problemy związane z losowością, złożonością i prognozowaniem zachowania się systemów magazynowania. Główną tezę stanowi twierdzenie, że nie istnieje jedna ogólna definicja złożoności, co wynika z konieczności uwzględnienia kontekstu każdej refleksji na jej temat w badaniach. Zaprezentowano dwa przykłady zawierające problemy stochastyczne w szacowaniu popytu w powiązaniu z systemem magazynowania. Artykuł zakończono wnioskami.
    The article presents some considerations for storage systems related to the logistics of production. In the article have been discussed problems with randomness, complexity and forecasting behavior of the storage systems. The main thesis is the assertion that there is one general definition of complexity, which arises from the need to take into account the context of each reflection on it in research. Shows two examples containing stochastic problems in estimating demand in connection with the storage system. Article finished proposals.

    Warehousing is a labour-intensive process, requiring warehouse operators to use different methods of work and various equipment and to be in constant motion. During this process, various types of warehousing errors can occur, which can be reduced with the introduction of a suitable strategy. A prerequisite for this is to have sufficient knowledge of the specifics of error prevention in the warehouse process that are mainly linked to how warehouse operators perceive the usefulness of modern technology, the introduction of modern work processes and their own accountability in work. This study aims to develop a strategy that takes into account these aspects and is an ideal solution for the prevention of potential errors in the warehouse process of the company.

    Introduction/background: This paper presents the possibilities offered by ABC analysis by number of releases for solving complex problems in the area under study. The use of appropriate inventory management methods makes it possible to support decisions on flows in the company's logistics system. This contributes to quick action leading to the optimisation or transformation of ongoing logistics processes and the reduction of the associated risks. Aim of the paper: The aim of the article is to present the dysfunctions in the area of inventory management in a selected company, to identify their negative impact on the implemented processes and to propose corrective actions. In addition, the importance of inventory, problems and challenges of the company based on the storage of goods is highlighted. An evaluation and recommendation of the described company is also made Materials and methods: A literature study was carried out to identify key dysfunctions in the area of stock management. In addition, a detailed analysis of stock levels and their management in the warehouse of the company "GUSPOL" was carried out using the ABC method. Results and conclusions: Based on the data provided by the company, an ABC analysis was carried out. Thanks to this, each assortment item was characterised and assigned to the corresponding ABC group. A change to the conceptual design of the warehouse was proposed, involving a change in the storage locations of the technical gas cylinders and the addition of shelving, making the floor space more functional and employee-friendly.

    Logistyka stanowi inteligentną specjalizację w czterech województwach kraju. Nie ma wśród nich województwa śląskiego, stąd w artykule podjęto rozważania dotyczące możliwości wskazania logistyki jako inteligentnej specjalizacji województwa śląskiego. Jednym z podejść pomocnych w identyfikacji inteligentnych specjalizacji może być analiza tzw. wskaźnika lokacji. W artykule został on omówiony w odniesieniu do działalności logistycznej, reprezentowanej przez szeroko pojmowane działania transportowe i gospodarkę magazynową. Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na braki w obszarze omawianego wskaźnika, które mogą być istotne dla ostatecznego potwierdzenia lub wykluczenia potencjału logistyki jako inteligentnej specjalizacji województwa śląskiego.
    Logistic is smart specialization in four regions of the country. Between then there are no Silesia. Hence the article elaborates on the possibility of indicating logistic as smart specialization in Silesia. One of the approach which helps to identify the smart specialization is analysis of location indicator. In the article it was discussed in relation to logistics activities represented by the transport operations and inventory management. It was shown the lack of information, which making impossible the final confirmation or exclusion of potential logistics as smart specialization in Silesia.

    It is often the case that when preparing their offers, potential outsourcers of logistic activities do not thoroughly research all the activities that have an influence on the process of logistics. Consequently, they prepare relatively expensive offers (that can later lead to greater unexpected costs) which, in many cases, business partners decide against and persist with their own existing methods of doing business. The original contribution to science in this article is a model that will aid better understanding of dealing with problems and will, in practice, serve as a tool for the successful execution of business offers by outsourcers. Following research we have discovered, and are able to confirm, that despite the high start-up costs of the outsourcing, in the long term the company can reduce logistic costs. The model presented serves as an in-depth analysis of the company which enables the definition of favourable and optimal offers for outsourcing. The model shown helps to minimise the influence of mistrust and emphasises the importance of reducing the logistic costs with outsourcing.
    Bardzo często się zdarza, że w trakcie przygotowywania ofert na usługi logistyczne pomijane są niektóre ważne elementy wpływające na cały proces logistyczny. W rezultacie przygotowywane są relatywnie drogie oferty (czasami prowadzące do dodatkowych, niespodzieanych kosztów), które w wielu przypadkach są po prostu odrzucane na rzecz pozostania przy dotychczasowej formie prowadzenia biznesu. Celem tego artykułu jest opisanie modelu naukowego, który pozwala lepiej zrozumieć problemy oraz służy jako narzędzie do sprawnego egzekwowania ofert biznesowych przez usługobiorców. Opierając się na badaniu, odkryliśmy i jesteśmy w stanie potwierdzić, że pomimo wysokich kosztów początkowych outsoucingu w dłuższym horyzoncie czasowym usługobiorca jest w stanie znacznie zredukować swoje koszty. Przedstawiony model prezentuje głęboką analizę firmy, która umożliwia zdefiniowanie pożądanych i optymalnych ofert outsourcingowych. Pomaga on także ograniczyć wpływ braku zaufania oraz podkreśla znaczenie redukcji kosztów przy zastosowaniu outsourcingu logistycznego.

    Purpose: to determine the ways of widening the public awareness of CCS technologies and, therefore, creating some level of public perception Design/methodology/approach: The method of achieving the goals and tasks of this article is the secondary research of articles of foreign researchers related to formation of public opinion on climate change mitigation in general and, in particular, development of CCS projects. Besides, it is necessary to review Russian school textbooks to find the information about climatic problems. Findings: It is necessary to review the experience of foreign countries to determine the ways of shaping public opinion on the climate change issues and decreasing the level of CO2 in the Russian Federation. Originality/value: The article shows the major results of the survey: awareness of high environmental risks lowers public acceptance, the government plays a key role in environmental management, traditional and electronic media information can lower the perceived risk and improve the public acceptance of CCUS.

    The task of the hazardous waste management system is the management them in a way that protects the environment, adapted to the conditions in the region. The main determinants of the possibility of economic and technological level of enterprises, which produce waste (source), but also companies in which waste shall be disposed (waste management facilities).     Introduction/background: The article is devoted to the possibility of "last mile" deliveries by electric cars with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons. Aim of the paper: The aim of this article is to determine whether, with the technology currently available from electric car manufacturers, it is possible to use these vehicles for "last mile" deliveries. Materials and methods: The article contains a literature study of industry publications and the most important legal acts in European Union and in Poland. At the same time, the available issues in the field of “last mile” deliveries and the currently available technology of electric cars were analyzed. Results and conclusions: As a result of research based on the adopted assumptions for the implementation of "last mile" deliveries and the technical parameters of the currently available electric vans, the article presents a newly developed simplified algorithm showing the relationships between the time and number of unloading in relation to the length of the delivery routes. At the same time showing that the currently available technology of electric cars allows for the implementation of this process with their use.
