    Opis:
    Purpose: The article presents the results of qualitative research related to identifying the set of skills needed in project management business analysis. Design/methodology/approach: To recognize the set of skills, it was important to focus on three pivotal issues, starting with specifying which layers of business analysis in project management can be extracted, then answering the question of which IT tools are to be used in this analysis as well, and which skills are needed to perform in it. The main research method was participation observation by way of the author’s involvement in a project management team. Findings: The following layers of business analysis in project management were established: 1) data management, 2) intelligent calculations, 3) delivery mode, 4) consumption device, 5) business enablement. The most important skills are as follows: joining disparate data sources, cleaning data, organizing data better, creating calculations, adjusting visualizations to the tools used by end-users to consume visualizations. MS Excel and MS Access were found to be valuable tools used in this analysis. Originality/value: New in the paper is an examination of the set of skills needed in the project management business analysis in the context of applying MS Excel and MS Access.

    Wdrażanie systemów informatycznych wspierających zarządzanie z wykorzystaniem outsourcingu jest najbardziej popularnym sposobem realizacji projektów w Polsce. Nadal wiele projektów informatycznych kończy się porażką. Celem niniejszych badań jest próba analizy projektu informatycznego z wykorzystaniem współczesnych teorii działania przedsiębiorstwa uzupełniających neoklasyczną wizję funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa. W ramach badań autor wykorzystuje nową ekonomię instytucjonalną, a w szczególności teorię agencji, teorię kontraktualną oraz teorię kosztów transakcyjnych. Opiera się na metodzie studiów przypadków, które przedstawiają wdrożenie systemów informatycznych klasy ERP, BI, CRM. Rezultaty badań mogą być interesujące dla teoretyków informatyki gospodarczej, jak również dla praktyków organizujących przedsięwzięcia informatyczne w przedsiębiorstwach i w agendach rządowych.
    Implementing management information systems based on outsourcing is by far the most popular method of completing this type of projects in Poland. Many projects, however, still end in failure. This study aims to analyse IT projects using contemporary enterprise theories, which significantly contribute to the neoclassical vision of enterprise functioning. As part of his research, the author uses the new institutional economics, in particular the agency theory, the contractual theory and the theory of transaction costs. The author used the case studies method, presenting ERP, BI and CRM system implementations. Research results may be interesting for theorists of business informatics, as well as practitioners implementing IT projects, both in enterprises and government agencies.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The aim of the publication is to diagnose the level and to assess the possibility of using managerial dashboards created in an Excel spreadsheet to supervise management processes in enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: The research developed the method of a directed interview with the staff at various management levels. The supervision of technological processes, economic analysis, and the provision of broadly understood services for citizens have been the subject of the research. Findings: Managers show little interest in improving their employees' analytical skills. Training in this area is not planned and the impact of analytical capabilities of the tools available for the functioning of the company are not appreciated. Research limitations/implications: The results of the research are not representative, but they encourage the authors to carry out a broader and more in-depth analysis of the existing situation in enterprises. Practical implications: The research shows the need to rationalize human resources management. This process requires an increased supervision over employee development planning with the use of the appropriate training. This may have a significant impact on efficient management and, consequently, on the company's financial results. Originality/value: The article is to be an element stimulating the management to more thoughtful activities in the field of selection, training, and use of personnel at various levels of management in the company.

    Opis:
    The study of the optimum distribution of goods between sources and destinations is one of the important topics in projects economics. This importance comes as a result of minimizing the transportation cost, deterioration, time, etc. The classical transportation problem constitutes one of the major areas of application for linear programming. The aim of this problem is to obtain the optimum distribution of goods from different sources to different destinations which minimizes the total transportation cost. From the practical point of view, the transportation problems may differ from the classical form. It may contain one or more objective function, one or more stage to transport, one or more type of commodity with one or more means of transport. The aim of this paper is to construct an optimization model for transportation problem for one of mill-stones companies. The model is formulated as a bi-criteria two-stage transportation problem with a special structure depending on the capacities of suppliers, warehouses and requirements of the destinations. A solution algorithm is introduced to solve this class of bi-criteria two-stage transportation problem to obtain the set of non-dominated extreme points and the efficient solutions accompanied with each one that enables the decision maker to choose the best one. The solution algorithm mainly based on the fruitful application of the methods for treating transportation problems, theory of duality of linear programming and the methods of solving bi-criteria linear programming problems.
    Analiza optymalnej dystrybucji towarów pomiędzy punktem początkowym a końcowym jest jednym z ważnych zagadnień w ekonomice projektów. Ma to znaczenie jako wynik minimalizacji kosztów transportu, rozkładu przewozów, czasu, etc. Klasyczny problem transportowy stanowi jedno z głównych zagadnień programowania liniowego. Rozwiązaniem tego problemu jest uzyskanie optymalnej dystrybucji towarów z różnych źródeł do różnych punktów przeznaczenia, co minimalizuje całkowity koszt transportu. Z praktycznego punktu widzenia problemy transportowe mogą się różnić od problemów w formie klasycznej. Mogą one zawierać jedną lub więcej funkcji celu, jedną lub więcej tras, jeden lub więcej rodzajów towarów przewożonych za pomocą jednego lub więcej środków transportu. Celem artykułu jest stworzenie modelu optymalizacyjnego, który rozwiązuje problem transportowy dla jednej z firm przewozowych, specjalizującej się w przewozie kruszyw. Model jest sformułowany jako dwukryterialny, dwuetapowy problem transportowy w celu pozyskania zbioru ekstremów lokalnych oraz skutecznych rozwiązań związanych z takimi, które pozwalają osobie podejmującej decyzję wybrać te najodpowiedniejsze. Algorytm rozwiązania bazuje głównie na efektywnej aplikacji metod rozwiązywania problemów transportowych, teorii dualizmu programowania liniowego oraz metodach poszukiwania rozwiązań dwukryterialnych problemów programowania liniowego.

    Opis:
    The influence of ignition timing on CNG combustion process has been presented in this paper. A 1.6 liter SI engine has been tested in the special program. For selected engine operating conditions, following data were acquired: in cylinder pressure, crank angle, fuel mass consumption and exhaust gases temperatures. For the timing advance correction varying between 0 to 15 deg crank angle, the internal temperature of combustion chamber, as well as the charge combustion ratio and ratio of heat release has been estimated. With the help of the mathematical model, emissions of NO, CO and CO ₂ were additionally estimated. Obtained results made it possible to compare the influence of ignition timing advance on natural gas combustion in the SI engine. The engine torque and in-cylinder pressure were used for determination of the optimum engine timing advance.
    W artykule przedstawiono wpływ kąta wyprzedzenia zapłonu na przebieg spalania mieszaniny powietrza i gazu ziemnego. Program badań przeprowadzono na stanowisku wyposażonym w silnik ZI, o pojemności skokowej 1.6 dm3. Dla wybranych warunków pracy silnika rejestrowano między innymi takie parametry jak: ciśnienie wewnątrz cylindra, położenie wału korbowego, zużycie paliwa. Korygując kąt wyprzedzenia zapłonu w zakresie od 0 do 15 stopni w stosunku do nastaw ustalonych przez producenta dla paliwa benzynowego wyznaczono stopień wypalenia ładunku, temperaturę ładunku oraz współczynnik wydzielania ciepła. Za pomocą modelu matematycznego opisującego proces spalania wyznaczono również stężenia produktów spalania, tj.: NO, CO i CO ₂. Uzyskane wyniki umożliwiły porównanie wpływu kąta wyprzedzenia zapłonu na przebieg spalania gazu ziemnego w silniku ZI. Na podstawie analizy położenia maksymalnej wartości ciśnienia oraz maksymalnej wartości momentu obrotowego wyznaczono najkorzystniejsze dla gazu ziemnego wartości zmian kąta wyprzedzenia.
