    Opis:
    This article presents an innovative method of diagnostics of rolling bearings used in the bearing nodes of motor vehicles, with the use of a prototype specialist stand. The tests were carried out based on a developed research plan, which included the impact of damage to the bearing and tyre of the vehicle, as well as the vehicle speed. Vibration accelerations were recorded in three measurement axes. Signal spectra were created based on the time courses of the vibration signals and were further analysed. The presented method is aimed at detecting excessive wear of rolling bearings in wheels from its early period.

    This article presents two methods of testing bearing hubs, which may supplement the existing subjective and unreliable methods of diagnostics of rolling bearings used in wheel bearing hubs of motor vehicles and other means of road transport. One of the most important elements responsible for the safety of a vehicle is the bearing hub. Regular monitoring of the technical condition of bearings should become an obligation at vehicle inspection stations when carrying out a technical inspection of a vehicle, authorising it to travel on public roads. This article presents the results of vehicle tests with signs of damage to rolling bearings, using two test stands: one on which the dynamic balancer acted as a device for accelerating the wheel, and the other, which was designed as a test dedicated to automotive rolling bearings, where a dynamic weighbridge was used as the wheel drive, made it impossible to test the wheel at lower rotational speeds. The newly designed and manufactured bearing testing device eliminates the disadvantages of the previous stand, and additionally, enables the measurement of a fully loaded bearing hub, which enables the simulation of real operating conditions on the bearing hub.

    Problem starzejącego się społeczeństwa i konieczność zapewnienia mu większej mobilności w celu funkcjonowania w życiu społecznym stały się wyzwaniem dla konstruktorów środków transportu. W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące projektowania dwóch nowych konstrukcji transportu miejskiego, całkowicie dostosowanych do osób starszych i niepełnosprawnych. Prace te są prowadzone w ramach Projektu Eco-Mobilność, realizowanego na Wydziale Transportu Politechniki Warszawskiej, objętego Programem Operacyjnym Innowacyjna Gospodarka i współfinansowanego z Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego. Innowacyjne, funkcjonalne rozwiązania przedstawiono dla eco-samochodu i pojazdu PRT (Personal Rapid Transit).
    Nowadays, the challenge for transport designers is to ensure more mobility and participation in social life of elderly and disabled people, because of the systematic increase of this group. The selected issues regarding designing of the two new public means of transport construction, completely adjusted to the elderly and disabled people have been presented in this paper. The research work has been carried out within the Eco Mobility Project that is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund/Operational Programme for Innovative Economy. The innovative solution of eco-car and PRT vehicle have been presented.

    The article presents aspects connected with the identification of the main problems of the deaf and the hard of hearing when they use public transport and the related infrastructure in Poland. For the purpose of the analysis, a survey was conducted among 71 deaf and hard of hearing persons who live in large conurbations and use public transport daily. The survey included questions concerning to what extent the public transport and infrastructure are adapted to the needs of the hard of hearing. The participants evaluated the system of passenger information and indicated problems they come across most frequently in public transport vehicles and at stops. The problems were related to two primary issues: difficulties communicating directly with the drivers or when paying the fare in the ticket window and problems hearing and understanding voice messages played in vehicles and at train/bus stations.

    Nowadays cities are affected by the increasing number of cars. Car traffic leads to considerable problems related with congestion, parking, accidents as well as environmental pollution. Thus a very important issue is change of people’s mobility, behaviours towards more sustainable transport modes: public transport, bikes, walking trips or shared car usage – carpooling and carsharing systems. We can shape the travellers’ attitudes and behaviours using the mobility management concept. Mobility management is an approach to the passenger transport, oriented on promotion of sustainable mobility means and on management of demand for car usage. The paper presents the mobility management concept as well as gives examples of instruments applied in UE, North America, but also in Polish conditions, especially in Krakow.
    Współczesne miasta dotknięte są wzrastającą liczbą samochodów osobowych. Ruch zmotoryzowany prowadzi do poważnych problemów związanych z kongestią komunikacyjną, kłopotów z parkowaniem, wypadkami oraz zanieczyszczeniem środowiska. Dlatego niezwykle istotną kwestią jest zmiana zachowań komunikacyjnych ludzi w kierunku korzystania z bardziej zrównoważonych środków lokomocji: środków transportu publicznego, rowerów, podróży pieszych oraz współdzielenia samochodów – podróżowania w systemach carpooling i carsharing. Postawy oraz zachowania podróżnych mogą być kształtowane przy wykorzystaniu koncepcji zarządzania mobilnością. Zarządzanie mobilnością to podejście do przewozów pasażerskich, zorientowane na promowanie proekologicznych środków transportu oraz zarządzanie popytem na użytkowanie samochodów prywatnych. Artykuł prezentuje koncepcję zarządzania mobilnością oraz podaje przykłady instrumentów stosowanych w krajach Unii Europejskiej, Ameryce Północnej, ale i również w warunkach polskich, szczególnie w Krakowie.

    With the continuous urban expansion of cities around the world, cities have become more crowded as the numbers of all kinds of vehicles have increased, especially due to the inclination of individuals to use personal cars. In this study, we want to identify the different reasons that motivate the populations of the state of Skikda, Algeria, to prefer using cars through a questionnaire. In order to be clearer, we processed and analyzed the survey data using the SPSS analytical program. This article aims to identify the main reasons that motivate individuals to prefer using a personal car when traveling and propose possible solutions, or even identify actions to be taken now and in the future in order to establish a more sustainable exclusive transport. By analyzing the results, it became clear to us that road users prefer cars only for psychological and technical reasons and do not consider the preservation of the environment or the security of people. Although they are aware of the problems arising from their extensive use, they continue to do so because they have no other alternative. Improvements in public transportation means would change the situation.

    The provision of quality fuels to the aircraft requires compliance with a number of procedures during the transport, storage and distribution processes. Depending on the needs and organisational conditions, the air fuel distribution process is carried out using various types of transport means. The operational procedures and specificity of the functioning of the Armed Forces and other public law enforcement entities require the use of various construction and technological solutions allowing the efficient functioning of state aviation. The means of transport should not only ensure the appropriate quality of aviation fuel delivered to the aircraft but also enables the delivery of appropriate fuel practically to any place where it is required by the specific activities of particular services or aviation types units of the Armed Forces. This paper presents specific types of transport and distribution means used in state aviation and attempts to select features that determine their suitability for particular types of state aviation.

    This article presents the results of the calculation of energy and CO2 emission intensities in relation to the unit of passenger transport activity for various modes of public transport, cars and motorcycles for Warsaw in 2015. The results are compared with similar information from other countries and regions that comes from international comparisons and are summarized in this article. The results for Warsaw show that intensity indicators are comparable to other cities, with noteworthy lowintensity indicators for city public transport buses. An important achievement of the author is calculation of the energy and CO2 emission intensities for various modes of transport in Polish conditions and for a single city: Warsaw.

    W artykule przedstawiono wpływ nowoczesnych materiałów konstrukcyjnych i technologii materiałowych na poprawę jakości transportu. Opisano możliwości zmniejszenia kosztów jakości przez zastosowanie kompozytowego tłoka w silniku spalinowym oraz poprawy jakości przez wykorzystanie nanotechnologii, tj. strukturyzowanych na wzór powierzchni liści lotosu hydrofobowych powłok tlenkowych na aluminiowych elementach poszycia pojazdów oraz folii z tworzywa sztucznego, stosowanych na znakach drogowych. Zastosowanie nowoczesnych materiałów i technologii przyczynia się do zmniejszenia kosztów zapewnienia jakości zarówno tych oczywistych, jak i niezauważanych w dotychczasowych systemach zarządzania jakością.
    In this paper the acting of modern technologies and materials on the transport quality improvement has been described. The possibility of quality costs decreasing by using of composite piston in combustion engine as well as the quality improvement by using of nanotechnologies, i.e. structurised like a lotus leaf surface hydrophobic electrolytic oxide layers on aluminium vehicle body paneling and plastic foil used on road signs have been described. Using of modern materials and technologies causes decreasing of ensuring of alike the evident and the not perceived quality costs in current quality management systems.

    The concept of an innovative support tool for freight transport used in planning, organization and realization is presented in this paper. In addition to the basic functions of a fleet management tool, the educative approach towards environmentally friendly behaviour will be based on promoting ecological solutions, such as unconventionally powered cars, e.g., electric vehicles (EVs). The suggested criteria for a routing algorithm, which will be implemented in the freight transport planner tool, not only allows routing in relation to time and cost criteria, but also the criterion regarding the limitation of emissions of harmful factors. The implementation of innovative the S-mile platform gives rise to environmentally friendly cognition behaviour in the freight transport sector. This is a fundamental aspect to its application, which could help to move the planning, organization and realization of freight transport in the direction of more environmental friendly solutions.

    One of the priorities of the EU economy is to create the best possible conditions for the design and implementation of innovative solutions within the scope of energy efficiency. In recent years, there has been quick technological progress in the field of devices having controlled motor drive used for air purification, and from heating plates, which are applied in the eating places, including restaurants and zones for preparing meals in various means of transport. The research conducted by the EU on EcoDesign requirements showed that range hoods at the stage of their use have a considerable potential of saving energy. The introduction of energy efficiency labels to the market has improved the energy efficiency of these devices and accelerated the transformation of the market to implement energy-saving technologies, which according to the experts, may lead to an annual primary energy saving of 27 PJ/year in 2021, which may increase in 2030 to 60 PJ/year. The authors of this publication researched the fluid dynamic efficiency of a selected range hood, showing the necessity of investments in new technologies. Patented original solutions of the range hoods that can be applied, among others, in such means of transport as passenger ships, cargo ships, and submarines having a zone for preparing meals were presented in this article. An environmental aspect in the context of energy consumption was shown during the phase of using the device for air purification, providing many premises and arguments for future constructional solutions for energy management in various branches of transport and more.

    Purpose: Checking the quality of a joint made with a newly developed method. Design/methodology/approach: A new welding method has been developed in order to obtain a high-quality joint. The properties of the joint were checked by NDT (Non Destructive test) tests and the strength and fatigue strength were tested. Findings: Now, adding to the shielding gas mixture can improve the quality and properties of the weld. Research limitations/implications: In the future, it can be suggested to investigate the effect of nitrogen in other gaseous shielding mixtures of the MAG welding process. Practical implications: The proposed innovation will not cause problems in the production process. Only the shielding gas will be modified without affecting the technological process, management and economic aspects. Social implications: Modifying the welding method will not affect the environment and production management methods. Originality/value: What is new is to propose a new solution with its scientific justification. The article is addressed to manufacturers of structures made of HSS and AHSS steels.

    W artykule przedstawiono właściwości cieplne kompozytowego materiału izolacyjnego przeznaczonego do wytwarzania technicznych środków transportu. Materiał ten można nakładać w postaci powłok na większość tworzyw konstrukcyjnych. Osnowę kompozytu stanowi żywica akrylowa, a fazę zbrojącą − zamknięte sfery ceramiczne wykonane z tlenku glinu. Dzięki temu, że wewnątrz sfer jest prawie próżnia (0,13 Pa), i dzięki dużej liczbie sfer na jednostkę grubości jest możliwe uzyskanie bardzo małej przewodności cieplnej. Zastosowanie tych powłok w budowie kabin chłodniczych pojazdów samochodowych pozwoli zmniejszyć ilość paliwa zużywanego na utrzymanie zadanej temperatury, a wykorzystanie ich w statkach powietrznych latających na dużych wysokościach (temp. do 213 K) umożliwi zmniejszenie zużycia paliwa na ogrzewanie. Ma to istotny wpływ na jakość i na koszty jakości transportu.
    The paper presents the thermal properties of composite insulating material designed for producing of technical means of transport. This material can be coated on most of engineering materials. The matrix of this material is an acrylic resin ant non porous ceramic microspheres made of alumina are the reinforcing phase. Thanks to that into the spheres almost vacuum (0,13 Pa) dominants and a big amount of spheres pro thickness unit is it possible to achieve low thermal conductivity. Usage of these coatings for producing of cooling cabins on vehicles let us to reduce of fuel for maintain of given temperature. Usage of these coatings in planes flying on high altitudes (temperature up to -60) allows to reduce of fuel consumption for heating. It has an important influence on transport quality and quality costs.
