Opis:
Purpose: This article addresses the issue of forecasting demand for products flowing in a distribution network conducted from the perspective of a 3PL logistics operator. Its purpose is to present a tool based on the R software, which is to be used for automatic forecasting of time series. Design/methodology/approach: The work uses the algorithm of automatic forecasting of time series implemented in the "forecast" package. The algorithm was used in a loop for different lengths of the time series to determine the best length of the series. The minimal RMSE value in the training set and in the test set were considered as optimality criteria. Findings: It is shown that the best time series length is 60 weeks in the considered case. Originality/value: The procedure for selecting the best time window length for forecasting demand for products in distribution network.

Prorozwojowa koncepcja działania przedsiębiorstw w erze wiedzy i informacji, tkwi w czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej. Rozwinięta na poprzedniej – automatyzacji poszczególnych procesów uwzględnia dotychczasowe zmiany organizacyjne w procesie internacjonalizacji przedsiębiorstw oraz wskazuje kierunki digitalizacji. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja i ocena wpływu czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej na funkcjonowanie współczesnych przedsiębiorstw wytwórczych. Autor wskazuje w nim zmiany jakie inspirowane są w działalności przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych umożliwiające obustronny transfer wiedzy, łączenie urządzeń w ramach cyfrowych ekosystemów oraz pogłębiające integrację wewnątrz poziomych i pionowych łańcuchów wartości preferowanych przez Industry 4.0. Perspektywicznym efektem tych zmian to przed wszystkim produkt lub usługa bardziej dopasowana do potrzeb i oczekiwań współczesnego klienta. By potwierdzić te założenia w postępowaniu badawczym wykorzystano analizę źródeł literaturowych oraz analitykę danych pochodzących z rynku.
The Nowadays, dynamic development of many science disciplines is observed, including economics, organization and management as well as technical sciences, in particular computer science, automation and telecommunications. The result of these changes is very fast development of the Internet and artificial intelligence systems. These achievements are finding wider and wider application in practically all branches of industry, causing their dynamic development. This also applies to Poland, where the transition in the economy to the Industry 4.0 stage is important because it allows us to move the place of our economy from the group of efficiency-oriented countries to those oriented towards innovation. This also applies to enterprises, where the management process is based to a greater extent on knowledge, its transfer and innovation. The main goal of the article is to analyze the process of globalization and the progressing impact on the consolidation of enterprises in the context of Industry 4.0. Therefore, in the article, an overview of the essence of selected aspects of cooperation between enterprises in a networked, tensor perspective, because a network-based economy is one of the essential distinguishing factors of today's operating business entities.

Opis:
The aim of the study is related to obtain real data for the LEDs’ thermal load and characteristics of several LED lamps types H4 and H7 for automotive headlights with different cooling system. Power consumption, temperature regimes of the LEDs’ operation, lamps’ radiation spectral distribution, and luminous flux of lamps for automobile headlights with active and passive cooling system at different ambient temperatures have been investigated. The obtained data under real conditions of operation in several cars have been verified. The results are compared with the data in promotional materials and the requirements of Regulations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Studies enable to evaluate the feasibility, advantages and disadvantages of LED lamps of this type when replacing standard halogen lamps in headlights.

The purpose of this document is to present evidence of the work carried out as part of the flight validation activities of the RNAV approach involving the instrument flight procedures (IFPs), down to the localizer performance with vertical (LPV) minima, for RWY27 at Katowice Airport (EPKT). The presented material constitutes the second part of the “Preflight validation RNAV GNSS approach procedures for EPKT in the EGNOS APV Mielec” project. The following issues were addressed: flight validation conditions, list of performed approaches, flight path analysis and pilot feedback.

Opis:
Purpose: The aim of this paper is to present a combination of advanced algorithms for finding optimal solutions together with their tests for a permutation flow-shop problem with the possibilities offered by a simulation environment. Four time-constrained algorithms are tested and compared for a specific problem. Design/methodology/approach: Four time-constrained algorithms are tested and compared for a specific problem. The results of the work realisation of the algorithms are transferred to a simulation environment. The entire solution proposed in the work is composed as a parallel environment to the real implementation of the production process. Findings: The genetic algorithm generated the best solution in the same specified short time. By implementing the adopted approach, the correct cooperation of the FlexSim simulation environment with the R language engine was obtained. Research limitations/implications: The genetic algorithm generated the best solution in the same specified short time. By implementing the approach, a correct interaction between the FlexSim simulation environment and the R language engine was achieved. Practical implications: The solution proposed in this paper can be used as an environment to test solutions proposed in production. Simulation methods in the areas of logistics and production have for years attracted the interest of the scientific community and the wider industry. Combining the achievements of science in solving computationally complex problems with increasingly sophisticated algorithms, including artificial intelligence algorithms, with simulation methods that allow a detailed overview of the consequences of changes made seems promising. Originality/value: The original concept of cooperation between the R environment and the FlexSim simulation software for a specific problem was presented.

Opis:
On 25th of January 2017, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced the opening of a new program called "Zero-emission public transport" (e-mobility). Its objective was to enable for Polish cities purchasing up to 1000 ecological, modern buses and thus to stimulate the development of the electromobility industry in Poland and necessary infrastructure in the national power system. The National Center for Research and Development was designated to prepare the framework for the e-mobility program and, further, to implement it. The article presents main assumptions of the program, referring them to the current legal environment related to the financing of R&D works. The in-depth analysis concerns the conditions for the use of the innovation partnership model and the standards of supporting innovation developed by the US agency – DARPA.
25 stycznia 2017 r. Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego ogłosiło otwarcie nowego programu pod nazwą „Bezemisyjny transport publiczny” (e-mobility). Jako jego cel zdefiniowano zakupienie przez polskie miasta nawet do 1000 ekologicznych, nowoczesnych autobusów, a poprzez to stymulowanie rozwoju przemysłu elektromobilności w Polsce oraz odpowiedniej infrastruktury w krajowym systemie elektroenergetycznym. Za opracowanie założeń do programu i jego realizację odpowiedzialne zostało Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju. Artykuł przedstawia główne założenia programu, odnosząc je do aktualnego otoczenia prawnego związanego z finansowaniem prac B+R. Pogłębiona analiza dotyczy uwarunkowań wykorzystania modelu partnerstwa innowacyjnego oraz wzorców nowych metod wspierania innowacji wypracowanych przez amerykańską agencję DARPA.

Wśród czynników wpływających na osiągnięcie i utrzymanie tej przewagi można wskazać m.in. potencjały strategiczne przedsiębiorstwa, obejmujące: zasoby, zdolności i kompetencje. W artykule przedstawiono najważniejsze wyznaczniki koncepcji Resource-Based View (RBV), która nie tylko eksponuje kluczowe znaczenie zasobów w tworzeniu przewagi konkurencyjnej, lecz także podkreśla istotną funkcję, jaką pełnią zasoby w rozwoju kompetencji przedsiębiorstwa.
Firms are constantly looking for ways and tools enabling competitive advantage creation. Among the factors affecting such advantage achievement and maintenance one can specify – among others – business strategic potentials, which include: resources, capabilities and competences. The article presents the most important characteristics of the Resource-Based View (RBV) concept. RBV concept not only exposes the vital importance of resources in competitive advantage creation, but also emphasizes the important role which is played by resources in firm competences development.

Ze względu na planowanie i gospodarowanie przestrzenne, plany inwestycje czy ocena stopnia przekształcenia środowiska niezwykle ważnym aspektem jest waloryzacja środowiska krajobrazowego i ocena krajobrazu kulturowego. W pracy przedstawiono kryteria oceny krajobrazu oraz zaproponowano wielokryterialny model oceny uwzględniający wielu decydentów oraz ich niezdecydowanie co do oceny, wynikające z faktu subiektywizmu odczuć osób oceniających. Na podstawie zaprezentowanego modelu można określić poziom zmian zachodzących w krajobrazie kulturowym, jak też dokonać analizy porównawczej wybranych krajobrazów na podstawie przyjętych kryteriów.
Due to spatial planning and management, investment plans or the assessment of the degree of transformation of the environment, an important aspect is the valorisation of the landscape environment and the assessment of the cultural landscape. The work presents the criteria for landscape evaluation and a multi-criteria evaluation model was proposed that takes into account many decision-makers and their indecision as to the assessment, resulting from the subjective nature of the feelings of the assessors. On the basis of the presented model, one can determine the level of changes taking place in the cultural landscape, as well as make a comparative analysis of selected landscapes based on the adopted criteria.

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy zjawisk zachodzących w łożyskowaniu igiełkowym. Tarcie generujące moment oporu pracy węzła ciernego jest głównym czynnikiem mającym wpływ na jego zużycie. W łożysku igiełkowym mamy do czynienia z dwoma wiodącymi rodzajami tarcia: tarciem tocznym i tarciem poślizgu, i te właśnie procesy są głównym przedmiotem badań. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki z rejestracji i analizy ruchu wszystkich elementów tocznych w łożyskowaniu. Doświadczenia przeprowadzono na stanowisku badawczym możliwie dokładnie oddającym warunki realnej pracy łożyska. Odpowiednio przygotowana metodyka badań pozwala na pomiar i analizę oporu ruchu łożyska, określenie strefy czynnego przenoszenia obciążenia i wyznaczenie współczynników tarcia.
The present study concerns certain phenomena that take place in the needle roller bearing. The friction that generates the anti-torque of a friction pair is the major factor that influences the needle bearing’s wear. In the needle bearing there occur two predominant types of friction: the rolling friction and the sliding friction, and both are subject to examination. The study presents recordings and analysis of the movements of all needle bearing’s rolling elements. The examination was carried out on a special examination stand that precisely emulates the real conditions of the needle bearing’s work. Carefully prepared examination methods enable recording and analyzing frictions in the bearing, estimating a sphere within which the load is shifted, and calculating the coefficient of friction.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania koncepcji dynamicznych zdolności w kształtowaniu i rozwoju kompetencji przedsiębiorstwa.
Firms are constantly looking for ways leading to the business competitive advantage creation. Among the factors affecting the business competitive advantage creation an important place is occupied by business success potentials, which include: (1) resources, (2) capabilities and (3) competences. In turn, among the different firm capabilities, the most important role is assigned to the so-called dynamic capabilities. The aim of the article is to present the possibilities of the dynamic capabilities concept exploitation in the process of business competences development.

Discusses the position of individual elements such as the calorimeter, and a tank filling station having all the necessary aspects to perform the test. Indicated the order of execution of individual elements of the study.

Introduction/background: The importance to an organisation of a management plan for the projects it carries out raises the question of how it can be protected from use by other organisations, particularly competing businesses. Aim of the paper: The aim of this paper is to answer the question of whether a project management plan can be protected by the organisation using it against its use by another entity and, if so, on what legal basis and in what proceedings. Materials and methods: The considerations in this article are based on the literature on the subject and on the case law of common and administrative courts. These materials have been subjected to critical analysis. Results and conclusions: The analysis carried out leads to the conclusion that the project management plan qualifies as a work within the meaning of copyright law and, moreover, can be protected as a business secret under the provisions on combating unfair competition.

Wytworzenie konstrukcji stalowej wymaga od wytwórcy spełnienia wielu warunków związanych z zapewnieniem jakości gotowego wyrobu. Jednym ze sposobów nadzoru nad procesem wytwórczym jest wdrożenie systemów zarządzania jakością. Nadzór ten polega na postępowaniu związanym z działaniami prowadzącymi do otrzymania wyrobu gotowego, spełniającego określone warunki jakościowe. W artykule przytoczono przykłady rozwiązań opartych na zarządzaniu jakością przez zarządzanie procesem wytwórczym, którego wynikiem jest otrzymanie produktu spełniającego wymagania klienta.
Steel construction production is a process in which the manufacturer needs to accomplish many requirements on quality assurance. Implementing quality management systems is one of the ways of the supervision of the process. This attendance is based on the course of action connected with receiving finished products that follow certain quality requirements. The article describes examples of system solutions grounded on quality management and the management of manufacturing process that result in the performance of the product that fulfills customer’s requirements.

Opis:
One of the most important features of motor vehicles is their steering maneuverability. Ways of determining single axle steering are well known. This paper presents an idea of how to determine maneuverability of motor vehicles with two steering axles. The concept makes use of elements of kinematic analysis as well as of a 3D model of the steering system. It is based on the theoretical analysis of the most unfavorable situations, such as parallel and perpendicular parking techniques, on the basis of which wheel-steering angles are specified. As a result, it was possible to create a 3D model to simulate the actual operation of the steering system. This made it possible to compare the theoretical approach with the actual system design.
