    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja koncepcji zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw w świetle założeń podejścia normatywnego i behawioralnego. W pierwszej części przedstawiono istotę i możliwości aplikacji podejścia normatywnego i behawioralnego na gruncie zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw. W drugiej części artykułu podjęto próbę integracji obu podejść, która następnie posłużyła sformułowaniu koncepcji zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw w świetle zintegrowanego podejścia normatywno-behawioralnego.
    The paper seeks to explore the concept of supply chain management in the light of the tenets of normative and behavioral approaches. First, the essence and conditions of using the normative and behavioral approaches in the field of supply chain management have been depicted. Then, an attempt of integration of these two approaches has been undertaken, followed by the formulation of the concept of supply chain management in the light of integrated normative-behavioral approach.

    The aim of this article is to identify the characteristics of the supply chains in emergency management. There are presented analysis which focused on the specifics of the emergency management process, logistical approach to this process, and supply chain management in emergency situations. The research process was based on studies of national and foreign literature.

    W artykule rozważono możliwości wykorzystania technik symulacyjnych do modelowania procesów w sieciach współpracujących przedsiębiorstw. Zaproponowana metodyka analizy konfiguracji sieci współpracujących przedsiębiorstw dystrybucyjnych realizujących zadania odroczonej produkcji uwzględnia problemy logistyczno-produkcyjne, dotykające zarządzania operacyjnego oraz strategicznego. Wskazane w artykule techniki symulacyjne dobrano adekwatnie do postawionych problemów decyzyjnych.
    The article considers possibilities of using simulation techniąues for processes in networks of cooperating enterprises. The proposed methodology of analysing the network configuration of cooperating distribution enterprises which complete postponed production tasks takes into account logistics and production problems affecting the operations management and strategic management. Simulation techniques indicated in the article selected adequately to the posed decision problems.

    Opis:
    Purpose: The aim of the article is to analyse and evaluate the influence of logistics supply chain strategies on the results of enterprises implementing them and creating a supply chain on the example of selected Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises. It presents the theoretical aspects of logistics supply chain strategies in contemporary market conditions. A research methodology has been described and a brief description of the studied population has been made. The results of the research concerning logistics supply chain strategies used in practice by the surveyed enterprises has been presented and an attempt to assess the influence of logistics supply chain strategies on the results of enterprises implementing them and creating a supply chain has been made. Design/methodology/approach: The article is based on the study of literature and own empirical research. The results of author’s own empirical research presented in the article come from more extensive studies concerning the analysis of logistics systems and logistics process management of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises in the years 2014-2016 in the context of building the competitiveness of enterprises. The research was conducted in 2017 by face-to-face interviews with managers responsible for logistics in the surveyed companies using a questionnaire. 298 manufacturing and trading enterprises from north-eastern Poland were examined (55.4% from the Warmia-Masuria Province and 44.6% from the Podlasie Province), characterized by a diversified competitive position on the market. Findings: Contemporary manufacturing and trading enterprises can use logistics both as a main element to achieve the intended competitive position and as an element to strengthen the adopted by the company method to achieve the intended competitive position. The conducted studies confirmed that the implementation of the adequate to the conditions logistics supply chain strategy allows the enterprise to increase the adjustment of operations to requirements and expectations of customers, respond properly to market challenges, achieve the set goals, implement innovations, increase sales revenues with the same or better financial liquidity than competitors’, reduce costs and reduce capital involvement, and consequently, achieve the competitive advantage and intended competitive position of enterprises creating the supply chain. The most frequently implemented logistics strategy in the best enterprises was the supply chain management strategy. In the majority of the best enterprises, an emergent logistics strategy was implemented, which was in a constant stage of creation and development, and was characterized by a quick response to changing customer requirements, environmental conditions and competitors’ activities. Research limitations/implications: More and more logistics managers manage logistics processes on the scale of the enterprise and the entire supply chain. Creating and implementing a logistics strategy in the supply chain is a very complex process. The article presents only selected aspects of logistics supply chain strategies. The issue of logistics supply chain strategies requires further, in-depth research. Practical implications: The article proposes logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises practical suggestions for using logistics supply chain strategies to achieve the intended competitive advantage. Originality/value: The article fills a cognitive gap regarding logistics supply chain strategies. An extensive review of the literature on logistics supply chain strategies in contemporary market conditions has been made. The article also fills an empirical gap. It presents the results of studies concerning selected aspects of logistics supply chain strategies used in practice by the surveyed manufacturing and trading enterprises. The research results presented in the article can be used by logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises.

    Purpose: The main goal of this article is to present the dropship model to consider it’s advantages and disadvantages and find out, is it accurate way to develop business in short time under some uncertainty. Design/methodology/approach: Most important problems and critical success factors of dropshipping model, and then assessing their mutual influence on each other were discussed. Costs that a start-up company running it’s business must incur were analyzed. In order to convince what kind of effects the online store may expect, simulations of requirements and costs on dropshipping platforms were conducted. Findings: Dropshipping business model is quite risky and should not be treated as a panacea in times of crisis. Online stores, if they think about significant profits, must focus on finding their niche, building responsive websites and rely on a solid information system. Originality/value: Simulation of costs of dropshipping business model under some uncertainty can be really helpful to start-up company running it’s business.

    This paper aims to provide a performance measurement system for the automotive spare parts supply chain. We focus on an independent distributor belonging to an independent channel. The framework encompasses different performance aspects for a high supply chain visibility, as well as the required categories, subcategories and key performance indicators for the automotive spare parts supply chain performance measurement. The framework is the first contribution that advances the performance measurement in the automotive aftermarket and allows assessing the performance of the automotive spare parts supply chain as a whole.

    Purpose: The purpose of this article is to systematize the problems faced by modern supply chains and problems observed in the field of public governance, as well as to indicate solutions to these problems based on the currently developing Distributed Ledger Technology. Design/methodology/approach: The purpose of the article was achieved based on a thorough analysis of contemporary scientific articles and a number of industry reports, as well as websites of institutions involved in the development of DLT with particular emphasis on Blockchain technology. Moreover, two case studies on DLT implementation were presented. Findings: A number of problems have been identified related to the sustainable development of supply chains and societies. They can be systematized by taking into account the concept of the triple bottom line. There are DLT solutions that emphasize sustainable development. Examples of such solutions are described in the article. Research limitations/implications: (if applicable) If research is reported on in the paper, this section must be completed and should include suggestions for future research and any identified limitations in the research process. Practical implications: The use of DLT-based systems in supply chain management and in public management solves specific problems. The article shows how the architecture of DLT systems contributes to the increase in the transparency of the supply chain or public service. Moreover, the article indicates that the implementation of blockchain solutions contributes to increasing the trust in the supply chain management and public governance. Social implications: Described examples of DLT application show a number of benefits for society in terms of pro-ecological behavior, as well as in terms of security of data flowing through the public services system, which is often the subject of public concern. Originality/value: The originality of the article is to emphasize the importance of DLT for shaping sustainable development and to present the described technology as a way to reduce the negative impact of problems identified in the area of both supply chain management and public governance.

    Innovation is a necessity in supply chain management, especially for logistics service providers. The issue of innovation in logistics is still underestimated and refers to research about product, technological and process innovations. That is not necessary the best way in describing innovations in logistics and it is even harder to relate them to the supply chain. The primary aim of the article is a review of the literature on innovation in logistics, based on this view an organization of innovation solutions in the supply chain was shown.
