    Artykuł omawia etap bezpośrednio poprzedzający adopcję. W świetle wywiadów z pracownikami wspomagającymi ten proces ukazano trzy aspekty: postrzeganie dziecka, przygotowanie go do przysposobienia oraz fazę rozstania się dziecka z rodziną zastępczą jako moment szczególny. Okres poprzedzający adopcję może być czasem pomocy dziecku w przygotowaniach do spotkania z nowymi rodzicami, a także radenia sobie z ogromem towarzyszących temu przemieszczeniu uczuć. Bardzo wiele zależy od osób zajmujących się dzieckiem w instytucjach pośredniczących, sporo od osób pracujących z kandydatami na rodziców adopcyjnych, a także od samych potencjalnych nowych opiekunów. Z narracji wynika, że to jest czas trudny nie tylko dla dziecka, ale również dla podmiotów z nim obcujących.
    The paper discusses the phase immediately preceding adoption. In the light of the interviews with the people supporting this process, 3 of its aspects have been presented: perception of a child, preparation of the child to adoption and a phase of separation of the child with a foster family as a special moment in its life. The time preceding adoption can sometimes be helpful for a child to prepare for meeting its new parents and dealing with the vastness of feelings' alternation accompanying it. A great resposibility lays on the people taking care of the child in the intermediate institutions, the people working with the future parents and as well on the potential new caretakers. The narration provides a proof that this is a very diffucult time not only for the child, but also for all the people taking care of it.

    Dire l’enfance aujourd’hui : Berceau d’Éric LaurrentConsidéré comme un auteur des fictions ludiques et connu pour son style maniériste, Éric Laurrent se lance, avec Berceau, dans une littérature intimiste, tout en élargissant les enjeux habituels du genre. Texte autobiographique sous forme de journal intime, Berceau raconte l’expérience de l’adoption vue sous la perspective paternelle, rare en littérature. Il privilégie surtout la problématique de l’enfance pour montrer la manière dont s’y tissent des liens affectifs et en fournir deux images contrastées : celle de l’enfance au quotidien, banale mais retentissante de bonheur et celle désespérément solitaire, sans perspectives pour l’avenir que vivent les enfants abandonnés. Le présent article cherchera à saisir la pluridimensionnalité thématique et stylistique du récit de Laurrent dont le principal enjeu consiste moins à perpétuer les expériences personnelles que de plaidoyer en faveur des orphelins en montrant le rôle magistral de la famille dans la vie aussi bien des enfants que des adultes.
    More associated with ludic fiction and known for his mannerist style, Éric Laurrent enters, with Berceau, the realm of intimate literature whilst transcending the usual assumptions of the genre. This autobiographical text in the form of a diary presents the experience of adoption from the father’s perspective, which is rare in literature. He focuses especially on the question of childhood in order to show the way in which it contributes to the generation of emotional ties, and gives two contrasting images of this period in life: everyday childhood – ordinary, but happy – and the childhood of abandoned children, desperately lonely and without any prospects for the future. This article seeks to analyse the thematic and stylistic multidimensionality of Laurrent’s text, whose main aim is not so much to document personal experiences as to draw attention to the fate of orphans by showing the crucial role of the family in the lives of both children and adults.
    Powieść Berceau Érica Laurrenta, autora kojarzonego z literaturą ludyczną i nietypowym, manierystycznym stylem, wpisuje się w literaturę o charakterze intymistycznym, a jednocześnie wychodzi poza typowe założenia gatunku. Ten autobiograficzny tekst utrzymany w formie pamiętnika opowiada o doświadczeniu adopcji z perspektywy ojca, rzadko spotykanej w literaturze. Koncentruje się przy tym głównie na problematyce dzieciństwa i ukazuje sposób, w jaki wpływa ono na tworzenie się więzi uczuciowych oraz przedstawia jego dwa zupełnie odmienne obrazy: dzieciństwo codzienne, zwykłe a zarazem szczęśliwe oraz przeraźliwie samotne i pozbawione perspektyw dzieciństwo niechcianych dzieci. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje tematyczną i stylistyczną wielowymiarowość autobiograficznego tekstu Laurrenta, którego celem jest nie tyle uwiecznienie osobistych przeżyć, co zwrócenie uwagi na los sierot poprzez ukazanie zasadniczej roli rodziny w życiu zarówno dzieci, jak i dorosłych.

    The article discusses selected existential circumstances that may result in orphanhood. Similarities and differences between natural and social orphanhood have been indicated. Possible measures to obtain optimal care of orphan children have been described – the role of foster families and adoption has been pointed out. The article also refers to the problem of social exclusion faced by the orphans who suffer from care deficiencies.
    W artykule omówiono wybrane okoliczności egzystencjalne powodujące powstanie problemów sieroctwa. Wskazano na podobieństwa i różnice sytuacji sieroctwa naturalnego i społecznego. Omówiono możliwości optymalizacji oddziaływań dotyczących przejmowania opieki nad dziećmi osieroconymi – w tym wskazano na rolę rodzin zastępczych stosunku adopcyjnego. Artykuł zawiera także odniesienia do zagrożenia wykluczeniem społecznym sierot – w sytuacji doświadczanych przez nie deficytów opiekuńczych.

    The vocation to parenthood is one of the basic tasks of the spouses. In the modern world marital infertility is one of the ever more common problems affecting married couples. On the other hand, ever more often we encounter situations, in which parents, especially single mothers, do not want to raise their children. The meeting of the needs of people in both these situations makes the so-called unwanted or rejected children get a chance to find parental love and a family home by means of adoption. The article tackles the issue of adoption present in the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church. It indicates that accepting a born child to the family through adoption is a requirement of the spouses' fertile love, but also a Christian fulfillment of the commandment of love, the service to life and a way to preach the “Gospel of life” by means of acts of love given to the most needy child. Adoption is not an easy thing, an event that happens once, but it amounts to saying “yes” to love; it is accepting a certain way of life, in which serving another man and Christ present in the “least” man is the first and supreme aim of adoptive parents' life. It is also worth stressing that the necessity to shape and create mentality serves a man not as something exceptional, but exactly as the style of life of Christian spouses.

    W artykule skupiono uwagę na problematyce troski o dziecko i jego opiekunów w warunkach trwającej pandemii. Podjęto próbę przedstawienia stanu wiedzy na temat pieczy zastępczej i adopcji oraz rozwiązań systemowych w tym czasie. Wskazano niepokojące i pozytywne zdiagnozowane zjawiska, które zaistniały podczas pandemii koronawirusa oraz kierunki do dalszych analiz. Zaprezentowano dotąd niepublikowane wyniki autorskich badań przeprowadzonych wśród studentów – przyszłych opiekunów. Część z nich porównano z wynikami z roku 2009. Założono ustalenie dokonujących się zmian w pieczy zastępczej. Zwrócono uwagę na: jak najlepsze przygotowanie profesjonalistów i społeczeństwa do rozumienia i realizowania rodzicielstwa zastępczego i adopcyjnego, wsparcia funkcjonowania pieczy zastępczej, a przede wszystkim gotowości do zostania rodzicem zastępczym i adopcyjnym.
    The article focuses on the care of the child and its carers in the conditions of the ongoing pandemic. An attempt has been made to present the state of knowledge about family care, adoption and systemic actions during that time. Alarming and positive phenomena during the coronavirus pandemic are pointed out, as well as directions for further analyses. So far unpublished results of original research carried out among students – future carers – are presented. Some of them are compared with the results from 2009. It is assumed to establish the ongoing trends of changes in foster care. Particular attention is paid to the best possible preparation of professionals and society to understand and implement foster and adoption, support for the operation of foster care and, above all, to students’ willingness to become foster or adoptive parents.
