Opis:: Dalla ricchezza del pensiero dei cassidici polacchi scegliamo alcuni interventi che riguardano la misericordia. La prima riflessione che nasce dopo la lettura dei testi di questo: il misticismo giudaico non possiede il concetto della misericordia divina in quanto il piu caratteristico tratto di Dio nella sua relazione all'uomo ed i cassidici sono un'eccezione particolare. Come mai proprio la mistica non ha scorto il tema della misericordia nella S. Scrittura e non l'ha affrontato, il che sarebbe pure moltonaturale per essa?A questa domanda l'autore risponde con la domanda: se l'Antico Testamento ha una piena idea della divina misericordia? Nella lettura cristiana dell'Antico Testamento questa immagine ci appare a pieni co lori, marimane la questione, che cosa intenderebbe dalle stesse pagine un seguace della religione mosaica leggendole senza la luce delia rivelazione di Gesu Cristo? Potrebbe trovare in pieno la dottrina della misericordia nell'immagine di Dio Creatore, Dio dell'Alleanza, Dio della Giustizia e del Giudizio, se non solo i mistici giudaici non sono riusciti a rileggere questa immagine di Dio, ma essa manca anche nella teologia del giudaismo? L'autore arriva alle due conclusioni: per primo, il concetto della misericordia richiede una precisazione, soprattutto perche a questo termine si attribuiscono molti significati che lo rendono vago e gli fanno abbracciare diversi atteggiamenti che sono affini alla misericordia, ma non realizzano ancora tutta la sua profondita. Per secondo, se l'Antico Testamento ci dice qualcosa alla luce di quello Nuovo, questo non significa che dice lo stesso anche ad un seguace del giudaismo.

Opis:: La polémique avec les Juifs au sujet de la signification de la circoncision est l’un des motifs les plus importants de l’interprétation d’Origène sur l’alliance d’Abraham. Origène prouve qu’i l n’est pas possible de comprendre la circoncision au sens corporel. Dans son argumentation il se réfère à la typologie de Paul, voyant dans les événements de l’Ancien Testament l’annonce des événements du Nouveau Testament, mais il ne développe pas ce genre de typologie. On peut même constater qu’il évite radicalement des discussions détaillées quelle que soient, en pouvant rendre concrète cette typologie. Cette concision contraste nettement avec la prédilection pour l'interprétation spirituelle. Là, Origène approche des mentions de l’Ancien Testament sur la circoncision de la bouche, des oreilles, du coeur et il interprète en détail chacune d’elles en tant qu’un appel vers la perfection. En plus il déploie cette image sur tous les membres du corps, en attribuant à chacun d’eux une signification spirituelle.En conséquence de cette orientaton chez Origène la typologie: l’alliance-le baptême soit l’alliaince-l'Eucharistie n’apparaît pas. La matière - les signes de l’alliance n’annonçaient pas de signes materiels de sacrements. Surtout l’association de la circoncision avec le baptême serait entièrement opposée a la logique de son raisonnement. Dès qu’il souligne vivement que le signe corporel de la circoncision doit être saisi dans la perspective spirituelle, il ne peut pas désigner le baptême. Pourtant le baptême est aussi le signe matériel. Telle juxtaposition reduirait alors l’Eglise au même niveau sur lequelles Juifs demeurent, cependant l’Eglise n’est pas une simple continuation de la nation juive: les Juifs saisissaient Dieu d’une façon corporelle et les chrétiens, en revanche, - d’une façon spirituelle.L’accent mis sur «la vieillesse» et non sur la perfection d’Abraham est l’élément suivant, mais de deuxième ordre, qui éloigne l’alliance de l’interpretation d’Origène du baptême.L’alliance avec Abraham annonce alors une perfection définitive, une pleine union avec le Christ.

Opis:: Pour l’auditeur de jadis et aujourd’hui lecteur, la réflexion d’Origène († 253/54) sur Abraham est organiquement liée à un appel à la réflexion, à la puissance, à la richesse et à l’efficacité de sa foi. Cette dimension existencielle de son exégèse homiletique reste toujours actuelle. Le Maître d’Alexandre enseigne surtout comment approfondir les mystères de la révélation inclus dans l’Ecriture Sainte. L’apprentissage de ce savoir-faire est pour lui beaucoup plus important que l’interprétation concrète du texte qu’il présente. Origène tient beaucoup à ce que les auditeurs sachent eux-mêmes plonger dans le texte inspiré, s’approchant ainsi mieux du Dieu vivant. Origène, attribuant à Abraham des capacités extraordinaires de connaissance, révèle sa façon gnostique de penser.

Opis:: Prezentowany artykuł podejmuje tematykę sumienia osoby starszej, sprawcy przemocy. Uwaga skupiona jest na aspektach etycznych i społeczno-prawnych. Podstawę źródłową stanowią poglądy etyków, socjologów prawa oraz filozofów. Teoretyczne ujęcie sumienia sprawcy przemocy podparte jest odwołaniami do badań dotyczących przemocy, zrealizowanych w trzech domach pomocy społecznej województwa podlaskiego oraz badań prowadzonych w ramach projektów międzynarodowych, których celem była diagnoza oraz poprawa działań interwencyjnych w przypadkach przemocy względem starszych kobiet ze strony męża.
The presented paper will address the issue of the conscience of an elderly perpetrator of violence, focusing its ethical, social and legal aspects. It is based on the opinions of experts in ethics, legal sociology, and philosophy. The theoretical perspective is supported with references to research on violence, conducted in three social care homes in Podlasie, as well as research conducted as part of international projects, which had the aim of diagnosing and improving intervention measures used in cases of marital violence against elderly women.

Opis:: The Hebrew hapax legomenon ’abrēk in Gen. 41:43 was unsuccessfully interpreted by various scholars in the light of Coptic or Neo-Egyptian expressions. The correct explanation is provided by cuneiform abarakku, attested also in Phoenician as hbrk in the inscriptions of Karatepe, Çineköy, and several stamp seals. The initial h belongs to the original form of the word, as shown by its spelling in Eblaic bilingual word lists, while the Hebrew form ’brk must result from the weakening of the laryngeal in this archaic noun. The logogram AGRIG (lúIGI.DUB), read indiscriminately abarakku for a long time, must be interpreted as masennu / mašennu in Neo-Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian texts, at least from the 7th century B.C. on, as shown by the bilingual archives from Ma‘lānā/ Ma’allanate, where Aramaic mšn corresponds to cuneiform AGRIG. The same title appears in Gen. 41:43, where Joseph is mounted on “the chief steward’s chariot” and it is used as a synonym of ’abrēk, the older pronunciation of which in Hebrew seems to have been ’abrak, as shown by its explanation in the midrash Bereshit rabbah 90, dividing ’brk in ’āb, “father”, and rak, “tender”. Opis:: “Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth, was a prophet who was judging Israel at that time” (Jdg 4:4). Using these words the autor of Judges had presented a new hero of the book to his recipients, readers and to us as well. Such solemn and long „introduction” may surprises for several reasons, including the fact that in one, so short verse have been collected and concentrated almost all titles bound up with the protagonist of the Jdg 4–5. The author of the article tries to explain the meaning of these honorable titles and convince that their application to Deborah is fully justified. The article consists of three parts. First, the author presents (1) the main problems associated with the dating of Jdg 5 and the relationship of the Song of Deborah to Jdg 4, then he shows Deborah as (2) the judge, and as (3) the prophetess, who became the “mother in Israel”.

Opis:: The present paper is an attempt of a synthesis of and comment on the consonance of both Testaments. There are two trends of exegesis in this matter: one is closely connected with the biblical paralelisms method, based on the ,style anthologique’ or, procedimiento imitativo’. This method has proved very useful in interpretation of more difficult texts of the New Testament, and especially so in biblical theology. The other trend could be called that of the literary consonance of both Testaments: with this method we first study literary structures of a Gospel as a whole and its models in the Old Testament, and then concrete examples of various literary forms in the Gospels, in the light of the Old Testament, e. g. Annuciation, the Gospel of Infancy. This method of investigation has on one hand stressed the remarkable unity and harmony of both Testaments, but, as it is based on evidence strictly internal and often subjective, it has weakened the historical valour of certain episodes of the Gospel of Infancy (Luc 1— 2 i Mat 1—2) on the other. From the point of view of Catholic hermeneutics its great lack is its neglect to confront its findings with inerrancy and inspiration of the Bible, as well as its complete disregard of the testimony of the Tradition of the Church.

Opis:: The article systematises the metaphors ascribed by Origen (185-253/254) to the well-known female characters of the Old Testament utilising the method of allegorical exegesis of the text of Scripture. Females appearing on the pages of the historical books of Bible are – according to the Alexandrian – allegories of human virtues or defects. They embody the spiritual warfare between the spirit and the body, between the mind and the feelings. In the collective sense they symbolize the synagogue or the church chosen from the Gentiles, and in the individual sense – the human soul in its relation to God. Origen refers to the telling names of women, translating them and embedding into the spiritual context often giving the several different allegorical meanings to the same biblical person. Despite the often-quoted in his writings beliefs characteristic to the ancient world, proclaiming that the woman is a symbol of bodily feelings and the man – a symbol of the intellectual abilities, majority of allegorical interpretations relating to the Old Testament women indicates a personification of the virtues worthy of imitation. This phenomenon is conditioned with the meaning of the names of those persons and the role attributed to them by the biblical authors, but Origen’s interpretations are original and based on his own concept of spiritual life. They deny opinions of misogyny of Origen and the early Christian writers in general.

Opis:: W artykule zostały zaprezentowane i zinterpretowane peryfrazy wyrażenia „Anno Domini” umieszczone na stronach tytułowych XVII- i XVIII-wiecznych druków indeksowanych w Bibliografii Staropolskiej Karola Estreichera. Do interpretacji zostały wybrane zarówno peryfrazy odznaczające się walorami literackimi, jak i interesujące z uwagi na konteksty, aluzje, konotacje. Wśród prezentowanych wyrażeń znalazły się także chronogramy. Podjętą w szkicu naukową refleksję na temat tego fenomenu wydawniczego można potraktować jako prolegomena do kolejnych badań, ponieważ temat wydaje się wart zainteresowania. Krytyczne spojrzenie z perspektywy teologicznej, literaturoznawczej, lingwistycznej na nieopracowany dotychczas materiał może przyczynić się do poszerzenia wiedzy na temat kultury religijnej dawnych Polaków.
In this paper examples of periphrasis of the words “Anno Domini” are presented. The phrases were selected from the title pages of old prints that were published in the 16th and 17th centuries and indexed in Bibliografia Staropolska of Karol Estreicher. The expressions analyzed in the article are particularly distinguished by the inventiveness of their authors and considered especially interesting due to their aesthetics and contexts. A part of this article is devoted to an analysis of chronograms. The scientific reflection referenced in this paper can be treated as prolegomena to further researches, since this phenomenon has thus far been the subject of little study and thus needs to be further analyzed from the theological, literary, and linguistic perspectives. Philological considerations presented in the article are based on intertextual references and reflect the biblical, patristic, and sensu largo cultural contexts.
