    This paper studies the cooperation of theology in the new evangelization in societies of ancient Christian tradition which are suffering an advanced process of secularization. It begins with Spain, where a recent debate on the influence of Christian intellectuals on social life suggests the ineffectiveness of ecclesiastical resources in transmitting the rich Catholic doctrinal heritage. Then the author deals with the idiosyncrasy of contemporary man, which lies near the one of the immediate future’s man: an uprooted subject who does not believe that life has any meaning, is deeply marked by emotivism and attaches little significance to truth. The theology of tomorrow cannot feed this emotivism but must be proactive in its own way. The proclamation of the Gospel is not different from the exposition of the Church’s doctrine. To detach evangelization from the teaching of Christian doctrine cannot help the encounter with Christ. In order to succeed in transmitting this doctrine by making it suggestive, theologians should work together with experts in communication.

    Doświadczenie Kościoła wyraźnie pokazuje, że kluczową rolę w jego dziejach, a zwłaszcza w dziejach ewangelizacji, odgrywali święci. Jest więc uzasadnione, by w kontekście nowej ewangelizacji zapytać się, na czym polegała specyfika tego dzieła w poszczególnych epokach i jaki wkład wnosili do niego najwybitniejsi święci. Prowadzona analiza doświadczeń historycznych w kluczu teologicznym pozwoliła wskazać, że w kolejnych epokach uformowały się pewne wyróżniające się modele świętości, stające się odpowiedzią na aktualne wyzwania eklezjalne i kulturowe. Można wyróżnić zwłaszcza modele: świętego-proroka, świętego-kaznodziei i świętego-patrona. Model świętości do zaproponowania w kontekście nowej ewangelizacji zdaje się oscylować w kierunku syntezy wskazanych tutaj modeli.
    The experience of Church shows that saints played a vital role in its history, especially in the origin of evangelization. Therefore it is justified to ask a question about the specificity of evangelization throughout particular historical periods and saints’ contribution. According to the analysis of historical events, based on the theological key, certain images of sanctity were formed during the following ages. These models had distinctive features and developed in response to, both, ecclesial and cultural challenges. Models of : saint – prophet, saint – preacher and saint – patron should be particularly mentioned here. The synthesis of all these patterns may result in constructing the model of sanctity which is presented in the new evangelization.

    W dobie wołania o nową ewangelizację w Kościele, o czym świadczy choćby powołanie Papieskiej Rady ds. Nowej Ewangelizacji oraz zwołanie XIII Zwyczajnego Zgromadzenia Synodu Biskupów pod hasłem „Nowa ewangelizacja dla przekazu wiary chrześcijańskiej”,  trzeba mieć świadomość, iż istnieją różne typy ewangelizacji. Na tej podstawie dopiero można wskazać różnorakie cele ewangelizacyjne Kościoła warunkujące wybranie adekwatnych dróg ich realizacji. Rozróżniając ewangelizację na trzy podstawowe typy: ewangelizację misyjną, ewangelizację pastoralną  i reewangelizację lub nową ewangelizację, można mówić o kilku zasadniczych metodach ewangelizacji: metodzie kerygmatycznej, metodzie duszpasterstwa misyjnego, metodzie ożywienia wiary członków Kościoła związanej z autoewangelizacją oraz  metodzie  inkulturacji związaną ściśle z preewangelizacją i nową ewangelizacją, która zawsze powinna mieć radosny charakter.
    In the time of calling for a new evangelization in the Church as a result is at least the creation of the Papal Council for New Evangelization and the convoking of the XIII Ordinary Gathering of Bishops Synod under the watchword  “New Evangelization for spreading the Christian faith“, one should be aware of the different types of evangelization. Only on this base can one point to the different aims of evangelization in the church connected with choosing the proper ways to carry it into effect. Speaking about three basic types, which are: missionary evangelization, pastoral evangelization and reevangelization or new evangelization one can speak about several basic methods of evangelization. You can describe it as a kerygmatic method, a missionary ministry method,  bringing back to life faith for the members of the Church connected with self-evangelization  and inculturation, a method connected precisely with pre-evangelization and new evangelization  which should always have a  joyful character.
    In der Zeit des Aufrufs zur Neuevangelisierung in der Kirche, dessen Ausdruck z.B. die Berufung des Päpstlichen Rates für Neuevangelisierung sowie die 13. Ordentliche Bischofssynode zum Thema "Neuevangelisierung als Weitergabe des christlichen Glaubens" waren, muss man bedenken, dass es verschiedene Typen der Evangelisierung gibt. Erst auf der Grundlage dieser Unterscheidungen lassen sich unterschiedliche Ziele der Evangelisierung in der Kirche sowie entsprechende Wege ihrer Umsetzung aufzeigen. Man kann von Missionsevangelisierung, Pastoralevangelisierung sowie Re-evangelisierung bzw. Neuevangelisierung sprechen. Dementsprechend gibt es einige Evangelisierungsmethoden: kerygmatische Methode, Methode der Missionsseelsorge, Methode der Verlebendigung des Glaubens der Kirchenmitglieder (verbunden mit der Selbst-evangelisierung) sowie Methode der Inkulturation (verbunden mit der Prä-evangelisierung und Neuevangelisierung). Die letzte sollte immer einen frohen Charakter haben.

    This article represents the first instalment of a two-part study on the relationship between media education and the new evangelization. The author puts forward a claim that pursuing the new evangelization in the Church demands the media education of the evangelizers and their cooperation with leaders in media education. Proving this thesis advances via three stages: (1) Outlining selected components of the media context of the new evangelization, in light of selected theses from the Church Magisterium; (2) Discussing selected challenges for both media education and the new evangelization; and (3) Presenting selected postulates and educational proposals for media literacy formation and the new evangelization. This last part outlines five media components of the new evangelization, along with three main challenges for both media and the new evangelization, stemming from their interrelationship. The main research methods used in this article are: the Magisterial method, sub ratione Dei, and comparative synthesis.
    Jednym z ważnych wyzwań dla Kościoła jest nowa ewangelizacja w kontekście medialnym. Autor artykułu stawia tezę, iż do prowadzenia nowej ewangelizacji w Kościele konieczna jest edukacja medialna i cyfrowa. Dowodzenie tej tezy odbywa się na w trzech etapach: 1. Ukazanie związków edukacji medialnej z naukami teologicznymi; 2. Ukazanie wybranych komponentów medialnego kontekstu nowej ewangelizacji w świetle wybranych wypowiedzi Magisterium Kościoła; 3. Prezentacja wybranych wyzwań zarówno dla edukacji medialnej i nowej ewangelizacji. Autor postuluje pilną konieczność dalszej refleksji naukowej nad edukacją medialną w obszarze teologii pastoralnej oraz formacji medialnej w duszpasterstwie ukierunkowanym ewangelizacyjnie. Metody wiodące zastosowane w przygotowaniu niniejszego artykułu to krytyczna analiza zawartości oraz metoda syntezy.

    Po przywołaniu badań ks. prof. Henryka Misztala nad świętością kanonizowaną według Jana Pawła II, Autor ukazuje najpierw znaczenie odnowienia procedury kanonizacyjnej dla promocji świętości (I). Następnie przybliża efektywność stosowania Konstytucji i Norm z 1983 r., nadal aktualnych, tylko doposażonych przez Instrukcję Sanctorum Mater wydaną za pontyfikatu Benedykta XVI oraz normy o administrowaniu funduszami procesów i regulamin konsulty medycznej za papieża Franciszka. Promocja świętości przez praktykę publicznego jej uznawania (p. II) – odzwierciedla statystykę beatyfikacji i kanonizacji przeprowadzonych przez Jana Pawła II w ciągu 27 lat pontyfikatu. Ich znaczenie w dziele nowej ewangelizacji i wychowaniu do świętości (III) doceniają i rozwijają również późniejsi papieże.
    After presenting research of Rev. Prof. Henryk Misztal concerning canonized holines according to John Paul II, the Author at the beginning shows the importance of renewing the canonization procedure for the promotion of holiness (I). He then describes the effectiveness of the 1983 Constitution and Norms, being in force, and reinforced by the Instruction Sanctorum Mater issued by Pope Benedict XVI and by the norms regarding the administration of the process funds and the rules for medical consulting committee issued by Pope Francis. The promotion of holiness through the practice of its public recognition (II) - reflects the statistics of beatification and canonization carried out by John Paul II during the 27 years of his pontificate. Their importance in the work of new evangelization and upbringing for holiness (III) is appreciated and developed by later popes.

    Misterium paschalne Jezusa Chrystusa jest zrealizowaniem starotestamentowych obietnic, które Izrael pielęgnował, świętując Paschę i w ten sposób przygotowując się do zapowiadanego przez Boga ostatecznego zwycięstwa nad grzechem i śmiercią. Dlatego też misterium paschale pozostaje najważniejszą korektą wszystkich urzędów i funkcji w założonym przez Jezusa Kościele, którego podstawowym zadaniem jest głoszenie Dobrej Nowiny, czyli uobecnianie Królestwa Bożego na sposób paschalny, ponieważ tak właśnie czynił Jezus Chrystus i taką perspektywę wyznaczył ludowi Nowego Przymierza.
    The proclamation of the Good News, which is the primary task of the Church founded by Jesus, should have a paschal character. Celebrated by Jews Passover not only promises, but also prepares the final victory over sin and death, accomplished through Jesus Christ in the Paschal Mystery. Paschal character has therefore the event of Jesus and the Church created as its consequence. Paschal character should also have all offices and functions in the Church, used to make present the kingdom of God on earth that can not be limited only to the temporal. Similarly he Kingdom of God can not be completely isolated from temporality. The best explanation of this is the reality of Passover, which combines memory and present, history and the eschatological future. The Church, filling the missionary command of Jesus, makes this on the paschal way, giving the paschal character to all of its offices and functions. In the same sense, he understands and leads the work of evangelization in every cultural and historical context.

    The issue of testimony in evangelization is today quite widely addressed, both in pastoral literature and in the formation of new movements within the Church. The teaching of the Church also raises this issue as the center of evangelization engagement. In this paper, we engage the problem of the role of testimony from the point of view of the evangelization movements, and its importance for the new evangelization. Our analysis of this topic first addresses the problem of the aim set by the new religious movements, and which is: the transformation of human life under the influence of an encounter with Christ and one’s witness to it. The testimony, which is intended to attract a man to Christ, is born of a certain Christian experience and is the result of a personal relationship with God. This origin of the testimony dictates the motivation of the witness. This motivation is included in the testimony of life, which is a tool for both pre-evangelization and evangelization. Testimony of one’s word has its center of gravity in the proclamation of the kerygma and the Gospel of grace. Fruitful testimony strengthens the identity of disciple-missionary and co-creates pastoral conversion of ecclesial communities. This is also an expression of the call of the new evangelization to the baptized who have lost a personal relationship with Christ and the Church.

    Jedną z przyczyn współczesnego kryzysu kulturowego są procesy sekularyzacyjne. Wywierają one wpływ na wiele aspektów życia indywidualnego i społecznego, których odzwierciedleniem jest sfera sztuki. Twórczość artystyczna jest nie tylko obrazem ludzkiej egzystencji, ale także wyrazem tęsknoty i dążenia do tego, co wykracza poza doczesność. Potwierdzają to wielkie arcydzieła, które pomimo, iż powstały przed wiekami ciągle nas zachwycają, gdyż ich twórcy czerpali inspirację z piękna chrześcijańskiej wiary. Współczesne odejście od  Boga przyjmuje różne formy – od sekularyzmu, który radykalnie neguje rzeczywistość nadprzyrodzoną aż po desekularyzację z jej „nową duchowością”, będącą często nieokreślonym spirytualizmem w stylu New Age. W tej perspektywie sztuka sakralna, zamiast ulegać presji zeświecczenia, winna na nowo odnaleźć swoją tożsamość jako ważny element nowej ewangelizacji. Wobec dzisiejszego człowieka, który zagubił niejednokrotnie drogę do Boga, sztuka jako via pulchritudinis spełni wówczas misję ewangelizacyjną, stając się pełnym nadziei ukazywaniem sensu, jaki nadaje naszemu życiu tajemnica zbawczej miłości Chrystusa.
    Secular processes are one of the reasons of the contemporary cultural crisis. They influence many aspects of individual and social life which is reflected in the sphere of art. Artistic activity is not only a picture of human existence, but also an expression of longing and desire for what exceeds wordliness. Great masterpieces, in spite of being created many centuries ago, confirm this, as they do not stop to delight us because their creators were inspired by the beauty of Christian faith. The contemporary departure from God takes different forms - from securalizatiom which radically denies the supernatural reality to desecularization with its "new spirituality", being quite often an indefinite spiritualism in the New Age style. In this perspective, sacred art, instead of surrendering to the secularization pressure, should find its new identity as an important element of the new evangelization. Art as via pulchritudinis is to continue to fulfill its evangelizing mission for modern man who so often loses his way to God. It will then become for us a meaning full of hope which human life receives from the mystery of Christ’s redeeming love.
    Eine der Ursache der heutigen Kulturkrise sind Säkularisierungsprozesse. Sie beeinflussen viele von jenen Aspekten des individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Lebens, die ihren Wiederhall in der Kunst finden. Die künstlerische Tätigkeit ist nicht nur das Abbild der menschlichen Existenz, sondern sie spiegelt auch die Sehnsucht und Suche nach dem wider, das die diesseitige Existenz übersteigt. Dies wird an großen Meisterwerken sichtbar, welche ‒ obwohl sie vor Jahrhunderten entstanden sind ‒  immer noch beeindrucken, weil ihre Schöpfer die Inspiration aus der Schönheit des christlichen Glaubens geschöpft hatten. Das gegenwärtige Weggehen von Gott nimmt verschiedene Formen an: von einem Säkulkarismus, der die übernatürliche Wirklichkeit radikal in Frage stellt, bis hin zur Desakralisierung mit ihrer "neuen Spiritualität", die nicht selten zu einem unbestimmten New-Age-artigen Spiritualismus verkümmert. In dieser Perspektive muss die sakrale Kunst, statt dem Laizisierungsdruck nachzugeben, ihre Identität als ein wichtiges Element der Neuevangelisierung wiederfinden. Gegenüber dem heutigen Menschen, der nicht selten den Weg zu Gott verloren hat, wird die Kunst als via pulchritudinis eine Evangelisierungsmission spielen können, indem sie den hoffnugsvollen Sinn darstellt, der unserem Leben das Gehemnis der erlösenden Liebe Christi verleiht.

    W artykule jest przedstawiona interpretacja nauczania papieża Franciszka na temat „radości Ewangelii”. Analiza adhortacji „Evangelii gaudium” doprowadziła do stwierdzenia, że radość Ewangelii według Franciszka jest cnotą chrześcijańską. Tradycyjna teologia wyróżnia dwie kategorie cnót: teologiczne i kardynalne. Benedykt XVI wskazuje na nową grupę cnót: eklezjalnych. Podstawą radości według Franciszka jest przyjęcie Ewangelii i głoszenie jej. Źródłem jest osoba Jezusa Chrystusa. Przez zjednoczenie z Nim, osoba ludzka zostaje wyzwolona z wyobcowania, egoizmu i zniewoleń. Radość Ewangelii ujawnia się w dialogu, który jest wymianą darów między osobami. Odbywa się w spotkaniu, które daje możliwość poznania drugiej osoby, Boga i człowieka. Eklezjalny kontekst radości wyraża się w indywidualnym otwarciu na Chrystusa oraz otwarciu Kościoła wobec wszystkich ludzi. Radość chrześcijańska zdefiniowana w oparciu o koncepcję radości Ewangelii według Franciszka, kwalifikuje się do nowej kategorii cnót – eklezjalnych.
    The article is the interpretation of the teaching of Pope Francis on "the joy of the Gospel." Analysis Exhortation "Evangelia gaudium" led to the conclusion that the joy of the Gospel according to St. Francis is a Christian virtue. Traditional theology distinguishes two categories of virtues: theological and cardinal. Benedict XVI points to a new group of virtues: ecclesial. The basis for the joy according to Francis is the adoption and proclamation of the Gospel to her. The source is the person of Jesus Christ. Through union with Him, the human person is liberated from alienation, selfishness and slavery. The joy of the Gospel revealed in the dialogue, which is the exchange of gifts between individuals. It takes place in the meeting, which gives you the opportunity to learn another person, God and man. Ecclesial context of joy is presented in the private opening to Christ and the opening of the Church to all people. Joy Christian is defined based on the concept of joy of the Gospel according to Pope Francis, is eligible for a new category of virtues – ecclesial.

    Opis:
    The author shows both how to accept the reply proposed by the new evangelization which challenges the present and how to carry it out as part of various catechetical activities of the Church in Poland. First, through the analysis of fundamental papal documents, he determines the character of the new evangelization. Then, he presents a reply of the new evangelization to contemporary problems with reference to Lineamenta prepared for the Synod of Bishops in 2012. He also explains how the catechesis can merge with the new evangelization, and analyses the tasks of catechesis, as described in the General Directory for Catechesis and adapted to Polish conditions.

    Opis:
    Podstawową misja Kościoła jest doprowadzenie człowieka do przyjęcia Jezusa Chrystusa jako swojego Pana i Zbawiciela. Służyć ma temu szeroko pojęta ewangelizacja. Wielu wskazuje, że obecnie Kościół przeżywa kryzys. Wydaje się, że zjawisko sekularyzacji zbiera największe dotychczas żniwo. Równolegle obserwuje się coś odwrotnego. Tysiące ludzi w Polsce i na całym świecie odnajduje się na nowo w Kościele. Bez wątpienia dzieje się tak za sprawą nowej ewangelizacja, która jest owocem Soboru Watykańskiego II. Szczególna rolę w tym dziele odgrywają dary duchowe zwane charyzmatami, które są dane przez Ducha Świętego. Wraz z nimi zauważalne jest posługa charyzmatyczna, która gromadzi liczne rzesze ludzi potrzebujących i szukających Bożej Obecności i Bożego działania. Dzięki tej posłudze i wielkiej roli nowych wspólnot przeżywamy obecnie wiosnę Kościoła.  
    The Church's basic mission is to lead man to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Broadly understood evangelization is to serve this purpose. Many point out that the church is currently in crisis. It seems that the phenomenon of secularization is taking the largest harvest so far. At the same time, the opposite is observed. Thousands of people in Poland and all over the world find themselves again in the Church. This is undoubtedly due to the new evangelization which is the fruit of the Second Vatican Council.  A special role in this work is played by spiritual gifts called charisms, which are given by the Holy Spirit. Along with them there is a noticeable charismatic service that gathers large numbers of people in need and seeking God's Presence and God's action. We are now experiencing the spring of the Church thanks to this service and the great role of new communities.

    Opis:
    Pour proclamer la foi une simple conviction religieuse n’est pas suffisante. La pastorale d’aujourd’hui doit prendre en compte l’enjeu fondamental du changement de paradigme de la vision de l’homme et du monde dans la société (post)-moderne. Cette étude propose une réflexion sur la nécessité d’une conversion philosophique de celui qui s’engage dans l’apostolat de l’Église, en montrant trois points de blocage à dépasser dans la formulation du message évangélique. Cette conversion signifie une acceptation de la fin d’une époque de la transmission de la foi par l’intermédiaire de l’Église, en tant qu’un corps « politico-théologique ». Le premier point de blocage à dépasser est une absence de recherche visant une compréhension de la pensée post-moderne qui préconise la libération de l’homme. Le deuxième point de blocage consiste à ne lire l’agir du Christ dans le monde que par l’action de l’Église. Pour dépasser toute ambiguïté autour des signes des temps, la théologie doit proposer une lecture plus pneumatologique de l’agir de Dieu dans le monde. Le troisième point à dépasser est une approche «dogmatique» de l’apostolat, c’est-à-dire la tentation de transmettre l’Evangile comme un dogme figé en dehors de la situation concrète de l’histoire humaine.
    A simple religious conviction to proclaim faith is not enough. Today’s pastoral care must take into account the fundamental challenge of changing the paradigm of the vision of man and the world in postmodern society. This study proposes a reflection on the necessity of a philosophical conversion of the one who engages in the apostolate of the Church by demonstrating three points of blocking to be surpassed in the formulation of the evangelical message. Conversion means acceptance of an end of the epoch of the transmission of faith through the Church as a “politico-theological” body. The first point of overcoming is an absence of research aimed at an understanding of postmodern thinking which advocates the liberation of man. The second blocking point is a reading of the action of Christ in the world solely through the action of the Church. To overcome ambiguity around the signs of the times, theology must offer a more pneumatological reading of God’s action in the world. The third point to be surpassed is a “dogmatic” approach to the apostolate, that is to say, the temptation to transmit the Gospel as a fixed dogma outside the concrete situation of human history.
