Die Verfasserin zeigt bei der Besprechung der Lehre des hl. Johannes Chrisostomus zum Thema der Mädchenerzierhung, dass sie ihre Grundlagen in der biblischen Anthropologie hatte. In Bezug auf drei ersten Abschnitte des Buches Genesis und auf Kommentare des hl. Paulus deutet er darauf, dass die Frau wie der Mann nach dem Bild und Ähnlichkeit des Schöpfers geschaffen ist und zweitens, dass die nach dem Fall aus dem Paradies die Freiheit verloren hat ( die mit dem Sein als das Bild verbunden ist) und dadurch wurde sie dem Mann untertan (Johannes Chrisostomus fügt noch das Lehrverbot und Befehl des Lernens zu Hause hinzu) und nahm neue Berufung zur Ehe und Mutterschaft an, verlor sie aber die Fähigkeit nicht, dem Gott durch Tugenden angleichen. Die Verfasserin bespricht dann drei Gruppen der Fragen, die nach der Analyse der Meinungen des Antiochieners zum Thema der Erziehung zu unterscheiden sind. Es sind die Erzieher – vor allem der Vater, die Mutter und der Ehemann, die Erzeihungsziele – solche wie geistig-moralische Entwicklung und praktische Fähigkeiten, verbunden mit dem weiblichen Geschlecht zuständigen Aufgaben und auch die Methoden (Beobachtung des Kindes, sog. „Torsperren”, also das Kontrollieren dessen, was das Kind mit Sinnen erkennt, die Belehrungen und Mahnungen und auch Verfahren der „stufenweisen Begrenzung”, das beim Abgewöhnen von schlechten Gewohnheiten und Neigungen verwendet ist.

San Giovanni Crisostomo, conosciuto come un’ottimo esegeta e predicatore della Chiesa antica, fu anche un grande esperto non solo di teologia, della vita sociale, culturale ed ecclesiastica, ma anche della psicha dell’uomo. Avvertendo diversi problemi nella vita sociale indica l’educazione ed istruzione dei bambini come un vero antidoto alla degenerazione e disgregazione morale della società. Nei suoi molti scritti dunque presenta l’educazione dei bambini come il più importante compito dei genitori. L’importanza dell’educazione consiste nel fatto stesso dell’attività educativa dei genitori, la quale paragona con la belleza creativa ed artistica dello scultore. Poi questa suindicata importanza sta nello scopo da eseguire che è l’educazione della persona integrale, completa, perfetta, saggia, come se fosse un vero atleta di Cristo: un vero uomo che conduce consapevolmente la vita virtuosa. La ricompensa per la fatica e tutti i sacrifici subiti durante il processo educativo è la santificazione personale dei genitori, la vera gioia di trovare i figli cresciuti nella saggezza pronti ad affrontare resposabilmente le esigenze della vita sociale, che loro stessi sono il vero tesoro della vita dei genitori e infine in futuro per la loro fatica possono giungere alla salvezza eterna nel Regno di Cristo, oppure per la loro negligenza nel campo dell’educazione dei figli saranno meritevolmente castigati.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie najważniejszych cech dialogicznego rozumienia wychowania, jakie znajdujemy w myśli filozoficznej Martina Bubera. Określona koncepcja wychowania wynika zawsze z poczynionych założeń antropologicznych, stąd też omówienie podstawowych rysów Buberowskiej koncepcji wychowania umiejscowione zostało w szerokim kontekście jego teorii człowieka. W tej perspektywie wychowanie rysuje się jako akceptujący wybór świata reprezentowanego przez realną obecność wychowawcy. Świat proponowany przez osobę Buberowskiego „wychowawcy” to świat otwarty na międzyludzką wspólnotę oraz na Boga i wartości absolutne. Czynnikiem konstytutywnym tak rozumianego wychowania jest doświadczanie „odwrotnej strony”, czyli akt dialogicznego „obejmowania” wychowanka przez wychowawcę. Celem wychowania jest uformowanie „wielkich charakterów”, czyli ludzi wewnętrznie skonsolidowanych i odpowiedzialnych, którzy całą swą istotą potrafią reagować na niepowtarzalność każdej sytuacji.
The aim of this paper is to present the most important elements of dialogic education, which are found in Martin Buber’s writings. Since a concept of education is usually a result of previous anthropological assumptions, the basic outlines of Buberian anthropology are presented as first. In this perspective, the education appears as an approval of the world’s view represented by the person of educator. The world proposed by Buberian educator is opened to the interpersonal community as well as opened to God and absolute values. The constitutional factor of education understood in this manner is so called “experience of the other side”, it means an act of a dialogic “embracing” of a pupil by the educator. As the main goal of the education appears to be the forming of “great characters”, it means persons spiritually consolidated and responsible, which are able to react with commitment to the uniqueness of every situation.

The Letter of James is a didactic piece of writing. Its genre of parenetic letter or protreptic discourse and abundant usage of diatribe indicate that the author wants to show his readers the proper attitude to Christian life. James’ appeal is based on double-track argumentation: what is good and profitable vs. what is bad and unprofitable. Into this reasoning is inserted the argumentation of Jas 3,13-18, focused on appealing to Christian fellows to live their lives wisely. James distinguishes between worldly wisdom and God’s wisdom, and urges Christians to live according to the latter because it bears good fruits in the life of the community, such as justice, peace, concord, truth, gentleness. On the other hand, earthly wisdom, which he calls demonic, results in opposing negative values that can be noticed in social life. These are attitudes like quarrel, discord, envy, boastfulness, negation of truth. The conclusion that has to be deduced by the reader is evident – only the life guided by God’s wisdom is worth living.

Dzisiejszy świat określany jest mianem „rozchwianej rzeczywistości”. Coraz bardziej widoczny liberalizm w normach i wartościach prowadzi do zagubienia się samego człowieka w świecie. Również postrzeganie wartości piękna zostało zachwiane. Niejednokrotnie w ramach usprawiedliwienia braku wychowania estetycznego wyrażany jest pogląd o wolności subiektywnego postrzegania – piękne jest to, co dany człowiek uważa za takie. Piękno utożsamiane w historii z dobrem i harmonią przestało mieć znaczenie. Do wychowania człowieka brzydota wkradła się niejako ukradkiem, uzurpując sobie świadomość i konsekwencję w tworzeniu norm życia. Potrzeba na nowo odkryć wartość wychowania do piękna, by człowiek na nowo umiał odnaleźć w sobie harmonię i pragnienie doskonałości. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą ukazania wizji wychowania do harmonii i piękna duchowego w ujęciu Edmunda Bojanowskiego, jako propozycji aktualnej dla współczesnej edukacji.
Today’s world is referred to as „shaky reality”. Increasingly visible liberalism in norms and values leads to the loss of man himself in the world. Also, the perception of beauty has been shaken. Many times within the framework of the justification of lack of aesthetic education there is expressed the view of the freedom of subjective perception – beautiful is what a given person considers as such. The beauty identified in history with good and harmony has ceased to matter. The ugliness of a human being has crept into a certain degree of usurpation of consciousness and consequence in creating norms of life. It is necessary to rediscover the value of upbringing for beauty so that a person can re-discover the harmony and the desire for perfection. This article is an attempt to present a vision of education for the harmony and spiritual beauty of Edmund Bojanowski as a contemporary proposition for modern education.

Kościół został powołany do wychowania swoich członków do pokoju. Szczególną rolę w realizacji tego posłannictwa odgrywa parafia, ponieważ jest miejscem spotkania człowieka z Bogiem w słowie Bożym, sakramentach, modlitwie i miłości braterskiej. Wychowanie do pokoju w parafii dokonuje się poprzez budowanie jedności między wierzącymi, której zasadą jest miłość braterska. Dokonuje się ono także przez kształtowanie świadomości i odpowiedzialności za pokój, a także postaw sprzyjających budowaniu jedności i pokoju. W proces wychowania do pokoju odbywający się w parafii zaangażowani są zarówno duchowni, jak świeccy parafianie, przede wszystkim rodziny i członkowie zrzeszeń religijnych.
The Church was given the task of guiding Her members in the ways of peace. The parish plays a special role in realizing this mission, since it is the place where the individual meets God in His word, in the Sacraments, in prayer, and in brotherly love. In the parish, education in the value of peace is implemented first by building unity between the believers on the basis of brotherly love. It is also achieved through the deepening of one's awareness of and personal responsibility for peace, as well as by fostering the attitudes that support the building of unity and peace. The process of instructing and guiding believers toward peace is carried out by both the clergy and the laity, especially through families and members of religious associations.

This article is a presentation of the problem of parents’ responsibility in raising their children. The first part shows a few general, but fundamental aspects of child upbringing in the Greco-Roman world. The next part describes ancient Christian texts written in Syria about the given problem (Didascalia Apostolorum, Constitutiones Apostolorum and selected works by St. John Chrysostom). These texts contain sincere admonishments to bring up children in accord with Christian ideals. Parents were sensitized to see the need for well-rounded moral and religious education of their children as well as for guarding them from negative influence of the surrounding world. The ultimate goal of such education was the salvation of the child (and the parents). In order to achieve this aim parents were required to use severe methods such as physical punishment, and to become more involved as educators, teachers and people responsible for the Christian formation of their children. It appears from these texts that although ancient Christian thinkers drew extensively from the achievements of classical culture in the field of child education and tried to transplant worthy ideals on the Christian ground, yet they gave them a different dimension and directed them toward a different aim.

This paper focuses on three fundamental notions-realities which describe human life and constitute at the same time its foundation and the space of participation in it. The triad culture – education – truth describes the most essential human experiences, simultaneously, defining the direction of their deepening and creative developing. Certainly, in the times like these when everything is questioned notions-experiences that belong to this triad are not problem-free. What is more, they are deemed to be superfluous, especially in ultra-left-wing ideologies in which suicidal tendencies are easily discernible. Taking this into consideration, it is hardly possible to avoid polemic attitude towards numerous questions even those most essential since in their semantic field the greatest confusion may be detected. That is why there are numerous attempts to answer the question how, in the face of such a dynamic spiritual condition of the world, those fundamental issues can be dealt with within the frames of anthropology, and how they can be justified from the anthropological point of view. This reflection is rather philosophical in character, however, it is also inspired by the fundamental Christian truth which says about the incarnation of the Son of God and about the salvation of man made by Him.
Artykuł niniejszy podejmuje refleksję nad trzema podstawowymi pojęciami, a tym samym kryjącymi się rzeczywistościami antropologicznymi, które opisują życie ludzkie oraz konstytuują jego fundament, na którym może się ono autentycznie rozwijać. Triada kultura – wychowanie – prawda opisuje podstawowe ludzkie doświadczenia formacyjne, a tym samym wskazuje najbardziej właściwy kierunek ich twórczego rozwoju w służbie człowieka. Trzeba na tę triadę zwrócić uwagę przede wszystkim z tego powodu, że we współczesnym wychowaniu i działalności formacyjnej uległa ona nie tylko osłabieniu, ale pod wpływem idei postmodernistycznych zostaje rozbita, a tym samym prowadzi do wyzwolenia nawet samobójczych tendencji u dzisiejszej młodzieży. W wielu przypadkach unika się mówienia o kulturze i prawdzie w kontekście wychowania młodych ludzi. Wprawdzie podjęta refleksja ma bardziej filozoficzny charakter, to jednak trzeba na jej problematykę zwrócić uwagę także w teologii, która przecież zwraca się do człowieka, na którego dzisiejsze ideologie mają bardzo znaczący wpływ. W świetle nauczania papieża Benedykta XVI także w teologii musimy zdać sobie sprawę, że „pilne zadanie wychowania” młodego pokolenia jest ważnym zadaniem teologów, a więc powinno się odzwierciedlić także w uprawianej teologii.
