- The author discusses some new regulatory technologies which aim at increasing regulatory and implementation standards in financial services industry. Four types of regulatory technologies are described: Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), sandbox, compliance and regulatory technology (RegTech). The author begins with explaining the rationale behind the development of regulatory standards and the scope of legal requirements in financial sector. Next, each regulatory technology is analysed and assessed.
