Opis:
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of varying levels of nitrogen fertilization (0, 70, 100 kg ha-1) on yield of spring triticale varieties Milewo, Mazur, Puzon and So- pot under conditions of simplified and traditional tillage. The re- search was conducted in 2017, 2018 and 2020 in Experimental Station of IUNG-PIB in Osiny on soil of good wheat complex. The yield level of spring triticale was affected by the course of weather conditions during the study period, tillage system, nitro- gen doses and variety. Under conditions of more favorable pre- cipitation distribution during the growing season (2017, 2018), grain yields were 32% higher than in 2020. The traditional till- age system ensured higher yields of spring triticale. The applied rate of nitrogen fertilization of 70 kg ha-1 proved to be sufficient for spring triticale yielding under experimental conditions. Under both tillage systems the highest yields were obtained from So- pot. Under conventional tillage Milewo and under reduced tillage Mazur yielded similarly to Sopot. The lowest yield was obtained from Puzon

Opis:
The research was carried out on a farm located in Mal- ice (Werbkowice municipality), in the years 2014–2016. The aim of the study was to evaluate the profitability and marginal eco- nomic efficiency of sulfur fertilization of spring wheat at vari- ous levels of nitrogen fertilization. Production value, direct costs and production profitability were assessed, as well as the mar- ginal economic efficiency. On average, the highest grain yield was achieved on the object fertilized with nitrogen at a dose of 150 kg. ha-1 and sulfur in the amount of 40 kg S ha-1. The highest value of direct surplus and, at the same time, the highest profit- ability of production was obtained after nitrogen application in the dose of 100 kg N ha-1. Increasing the nitrogen dose from 50 to 100 kg ha-1 resulted in a significant increase in the grain yield and the achievement of the most favourable marginal economic efficiency index. Among the objects fertilized with nitrogen, the most advantageous in terms of production profitability and mar- ginal economic efficiency was the use of this element in the dose of 100 kg N ha-1. The use of sulfur in the fertilization of spring wheat in the dose of 40 kg S ha-1 slightly improved the fertiliza- tion efficiency in the objects with 50 and 150 kg ha-1. Among the objects fertilized with nitrogen, the most advantageous in terms of production profitability and marginal economic efficiency was the use of this element in the dose of 100 kg N ha-1.

Opis:
The study assessed the impact of foliar fertilization with manganese and copper on the yield, yield structure features, SPAD, LAI, and the chemical composition of 4 spring barley cultivars. It has been demonstrated that the cultivars responded to the applied foliar fertilization with manganese and copper with yield increases. In the case of hulled cultivars Hajduczek and Promyk, as well as in the hulless cultivar Gawrosz, higher yield increases, compared to those in the control treatment, were observed after foliar fertilization with manganese than with copper. The cultivar Suweren responded more favourably to foliar fertilization with copper than with manganese. Foliar fertilization with copper resulted in a higher number of ears per 1 m2 and number of grains per ear and a lower weight of a 1000 grains. The relative chlorophyll content in F-2 leaves was higher in the cultivars fertilized with copper, compared to manganese; the opposite was true only for Suweren. The LAI index depended on the cultivar and the microelement used. The cultivars Hajduczek and Gawrosz demonstrated the most favourable LAI index. The analysis revealed a higher contents of both total protein and crude ash in the chemical composition of grains from micronutrient treated plots vs. the control plots. Larger increases in comparison to the control were observed after the application of copper than manganese.
